Volkswagen Group of America is recalling 224,704 model year 2019 Volkswagen Tiguan LWBs, Golf Sportswagen A7s, Golf Alltracks, Golf R GPs, Audi Q3s & Audi A3 Cabriolets, model year 2019-2020 Jetta NFs, Jetta GLIs, Golf GTIs, Atlas's, Golf A7s & Audi A3s, model year 2020-2021 Atlas Cross Sports, and model year 2021 Atlas FLs.
The tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) may not detect an air pressure loss in adequate time when deflating occurs among all four tires simultaneously.
If a sudden loss of pressure in all four tires goes undetected, the risk of a crash increases.
What to do
Dealers will update the TPMS software free of charge.
Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed near the end of December.

Volkswagen's numbers for this recall are (Audi) 45J7, and (VW) 45J6 and 45J8.
VW has conducted 38 recalls in 2022 for a total of nearly 987,000 vehicles.
