Ukrop's recalls chicken salad

Ukrop’s Homestyle Foods of Richmond, Va., is recalling approximately 1,202 pounds of ready-to-eat (RTE) chicken salad.

The product may contain almonds, an allergen not declared on the label.

There have been no confirmed reports of adverse reactions.

The following item, produced on August 26, 2020, is being recalled:

  • 15-oz. round plastic containers containing “Ukrop’s Chicken Salad” with a sell by date of “09/02/20”.

The recalled product, bearing establishment number “P-19979” inside the USDA mark of inspection, was shipped to retail locations in North Carolina, Ohio, Virginia and West Virginia.

What to do

Customers who purchased the recalled product should not consume it, but discard or return it to the place of purchase.
