Tenneco Automotive (DRiV) is recalling 6,478 aftermarket ball joints for model year 2004-2007 Toyota Sequoias and model year 2004-2006 Toyota Tundra. It affects MOOG part number K80521 and K80522; NAPA part number NCP2601633 and NCP2601634; and ACDelco part number 45D2344 and 45D2345.

The ball joint housing may have inadequate hardness, causing premature failure. A ball joint failure may cause a loss of control and increase the risk of a crash.

What to do

Dealers will inspect and replace the ball joint -- as necessary -- free of charge.

Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed by March 7, 2022.

Owners may contact DRiV customer service at (877) 489-6659 or by email at RECALL.SUPPORT@DRIV.COM.
