PhotoRyszard Food Distributors of Brooklyn, N.Y., is recalling plastic packages of Novus Snack Golden Raisins.


The product contains sulfites which are nor listed on the label.


Anaphylactic shock could occur in certain sulfite sensitive individuals upon ingesting 10 mg. or more of sulfites. Analysis of Novus Brand Golden Raisins revealed they contained 53.49 mg. of sulfites per serving.


No illnesses or allergic reaction involving this product have been reported to date.


The product, which comes in 10-oz. plastic packages, code information “Best Before 1, July 2016,” was distributed through retail stores in Brooklyn, N.Y.
