The owner's manual maybe short on information for Child Restraint System installation

Porsche Cars North America is recalling 15,501 model year 2014 Cayman & Cayman S, model year 2014-2016 911 GT3, 2016 911 GT3 RS & 911 R, model year 2018 911 GT3 & 911 GT2 RS, and model year 2019 911 GT3 RS, 911 GT3, & 911 GT2 RS vehicles.

The Child Restraint System (CRS) instructions in the owner's manual may not provide enough specificity for proper installation.

Improper CRS installation increases the risk of an injury in a crash.

What to do

Porsche will notify owners, and dealers will provide an Owner's Manual supplement with proper CRS installation instructions free of charge.

The recall is expected to begin February 9, 2020.
