Porsche Cars North America is recalling 12,490 model year 2020-2022 Taycans.

A software error could cause the center screen (including the rearview camera image) and the touch control panel to remain black directly after the ignition is activated. The Real-Top-View (including the rearview camera image) could also display a flickering image.

A malfunctioning center screen or touch control panel may obstruct the driver's view of the camera-assisted driving functions, increasing the risk of a crash.

What to do

Dealers will install new software free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed on August 5, 2022.

Owners may contact Porsche's customer service at (800) 767-7243. Porsche's number for this recall is ANA6.
