Land Rover is recalling 3,444 model year 2020 Range Rover Evoques.

The adhesive bond attaching a metal plate to the headliner can fail after exposure to very cold temperatures.

In a crash necessitating deployment of side curtain airbags, the metal plate could detach from the headliner and strike vehicle occupants, increasing the risk of injury.

What to do

Land Rover will notify owners, and dealers will apply self-adhesive fleece tape to the metal plate and the driver and passenger sides of the headliner free of charge.

The recall is expected to begin January 17, 2020.

Owners may contact Land Rover customer service at (800) 637-6837. Land Rover's number for this recall is N412.
