The glass stem of the knob can shatter and cause lacerations

Liberty Hardware has issued a recall for approximately 38,000 of its Mercury Glass Cabinet Knobs and Flower Glass Cabinet Knobs. The company said the glass stem of the products could shatter, posing an increased risk of laceration.

Liberty has received 29 reports of the knobs breaking during use, leading to three instances of laceration injuries. The products were sold at Home Depot stores across the U.S. and by various online retailers from July 2016, through September 2021.

Consumers are being warned to stop using the products immediately and to contact the company for a full refund.

Liberty Hardware can be reached toll-free at 844-811-4541 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. (EST) Monday through Thursday, and from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. (EST) on Friday. Consumers can also email the company about the issue at recall@libertyhardware.com.
