Land Rover recalls various Range Rovers, Discoverys and Defenders

Land Rover is recalling 6,644 model year 2023 Range Rovers, Range Rover Sports, Range Rover Velars, Discoverys and Defenders.

The engine cam carrier oil channel may be blocked, which can lead to an oil leak.

An oil leak in the presence of an ignition source can increase the risk of a fire.

What to do

Dealers will inspect and replace the engine cam carrier -- as necessary -- free of charge.

Notification letters to owners are expected to be mailed March 31, 2023.
