Photo source: Land RoverLand Rover is recalling model year 2016 Range Rovers and Range Rover Sports. These vehicles were previously recalled and repaired. However the repair may not have been completed properly. A spring in the Keyless Vehicle Latching System (KV Latch) may get stuck, causing the left hand door to remain unlatched when the door is closed.
An unlatched door may open while the vehicle is in motion, increasing the risk of injury or a crash.
What to do
Land Rover will notify owners, and dealers will update the software, and inspect the KV latches, replacing them – if necessary – free of charge.
This recall is expected to begin July 24, 2020.
Owners may contact Land Rover customer service at (800) 637-6837. Land Rover's number for this recall is N459.
