Laboratorios Jaloma S.A. de C.V. is recalling all lots and all bottle sizes of Jaloma Antiseptic Hand Sanitizer.

The products may contain methanol (wood alcohol), which can produce nausea, vomiting, headache, blurred vision, permanent blindness, seizures, coma, permanent damage to the nervous system or death.

There are no reports of adverse events to date.

A list of the products, sold throughout the U.S., in a 4-fl oz (120 mL) Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET) plastic bottle and a 16.9-fl oz (1.06 pt) (500 mL) PET or High-density polyethylene (HDPE) plastic bottle, may me found here.

Each product contains a lot number (0007834) and expiration date (EXP0522) stamped directly on the bottle or label.

What to do

Customers whp purchased the recalled products should stop using and return them to the place of purchase.
