Irbit Motorworks recalls motorcycles due to wheel-locking issue

Spokes that could be improperly tightened are causing the problem

Irbit Motorworks of America is recalling 3,250 model year 2012-2017 Ural Gear Up, Ural Patrol (T), Ural Retro, model year 2012-2015 Ural Tourist (T), and model year 2015-2017 Ural cT motorcycles.

The wheel spokes may have been improperly tightened, which can damage the rims or cause a wheel lock-up.

Damaged rims or a wheel lock-up can increase the risk of a crash.

What to do

Dealers will replace the wheel rims, spokes, tubes, and rim strips free of charge.

Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed on August 1, 2022.

Owners may contact Irbit customer service at (425) 702-8484.
