Forest River recalls Cargo Mate and Continental cargo trailers

Forest River is recalling 958 model year 2021-2022 Cargo Mate and Continental cargo trailers.

The safety chains do not meet the Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) and could break.

Safety chain breakage can cause the trailer to detach from the tow vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.

What to do

Dealers will replace the safety chains free of charge.

Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed on August 15, 2022.
