DEKA Trading recalls Pork Rind Products imported from Guatemala

Guatemala is ineligible to export meat products to the U.S.

DEKA Trading of Miami, Fla., is recalling approximately 13,771 pounds of imported ready-to-eat pork rinds.

The product was imported from Guatemala, a country ineligible to export meat products to the U.S.

There have been no confirmed reports of adverse reactions.

The recalled product, which comes in a 5.3 oz. (150g) foil pouch and does not bear an establishment number or a USDA mark of inspection, was shipped to wholesale and retail locations in Georgia, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island and Virginia.

Customers who purchased the recalled product should not consume it but discard or return it to the place of purchase.
