Braking issue prompts recall of various model year 2018 Porsche Panameras

The brake lines installed on the front axle may corrode over time

Porsche Cars North America is recalling 112 model year 2018 Porsche Panamera Turbo S Hybrid Executives, Panamera 4 Hybrids, Panamera Turbo S Hybrids, Panamera 4 Hybrid Executives, Panamera 4 Hybrid Sport Turismos, and Panamera Turbo S Hybrid Sport Turismo.

The front axle brake lines may corrode over time, affecting the front braking performance.

Reduced braking ability due to a corroded brake line can increase the risk of a crash.

What to do

Porsche will notify owners, and dealers will replace the brake line, and any damaged brake components, free of charge.

The recall is expected to begin January 27, 2019.
