B&I Overseas Trading of Van Nuys, Calif., is recalling frozen Veladis herring in oil with Italian spices.

The product may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes.

The recalled product, which comes in a 17.64-oz. (500 gram) plastic package stamped on top with expiration date 08/08/2021 and UPC # 4823097903896, was sold at select international retail stores in the Washington. Approximately 400 units were sold in November and December 2020.

What to do

Customers who purchased the recalled should not consume it, but return it to the place of purchase for a full refund.
