Bayer recalls Lotrimin and Tinactin Sprays

Bayer is recalling all unexpired Lotrimin AF and Tinactin spray products.

The products contain benzene, which is classified as a human carcinogen.

The levels of benzene detected are not expected to cause adverse health consequences in consumers.

A list of the over-the-counter antifungal products -- sold individually or in combo packs in the U.S., Puerto Rico, Canada, and Mexico through a variety of retail channels from September 2018, to September 2021 -- may be found here.

What to do

Customers who purchased the recalled products may request a refund by visiting www.lotrimin.com and www.tinactin.com. A photo of the product will be required to receive a refund.
