Autoliv is recalling 76,986 Automatic Locking Retractor (ALR) seat belt assemblies.

The ALR may deactivate early, before the webbing is fully retracted. A seat belt retractor that does not function as intended can increase the risk of injury during a crash.

What to do

Autoliv will work with the vehicle manufacturers, and provide replacement seatbelt assemblies for any non-compliant products free of charge.

The manufacturer has not yet provided a schedule for recall notification.

Owners may contact Autoliv customer service at (248) 276-0722.
