Tesla is recalling 199,575 model year 2023 Model S, X, and Y vehicles with full self-driving computer 4.0 and running a software release version 2023.44.30 through 2023.44.30.6 or 2023.44.100.

Software instability may prevent the rearview camera image from displaying.

If the rearview image that does not display while the vehicle is in reverse, the driver's visibility decreases and the risk of a crash increases.

What to do

Tesla has released an over-the-air (OTA) software update free of charge.

Notification letters are expected to be mailed to owners March 22, 2024.

Haleon is recalling eight lots of Robitussin Honey CF Max Day Adult and Robitussin Honey CF Max Nighttime Adult.

The product is being recalled due to microbial contamination.

The use of contaminated products by immunocompromised individuals could result in severe or life-threatening adverse events.

In non-immunocompromised consumers, life-threatening infections are not likely to occur. 

The firm has not received any reports of adverse events to date.

Daikin Comfort Technologies Manufacturing of Houston, Texas, formerly known as Goodman Manufacturing Company, is expanding its recall of evaporator coil drain pans.

The expansion adds 3,600 units to the 342,000 sold in the U.S. and Canada that were recalled in November 2021 and in July 2022.

The molded plastic drain pan located at the bottom of the evaporator coil can overheat, melt and deform, posing a fire hazard.

The firm has received a total of 31 reports of fire involving the drain pans, including five reports since the recall was re-announced in July 2022. The incidents resulted in one reported smoke inhalation and several reports of significant fire and smoke damage to residences.

This recall expansion includes certain units manufactured between January 2019, and February 2020, that were incorrectly marked. Daikin recently discovered that a limited number of evaporator coils that were manufactured during that time frame were incorrectly marked with a 2018 serial number, indicating that the unit was manufactured in 2018.

The recall scope now includes about 3,600 additional units with the following configurations and coil serial numbers, which may be found here.

NOTE: Furnace systems that were repaired with a new evaporator coil drain pan between January 2019, and November 2021, with the serial number range listed above, are also included in this recall.

Whether a non-condensing furnace system falls within the scope of the recall depends on the location of the burners, which, if unknown, can be verified through Dainkin's model verification tool at https://www.recallrtr.com/drainpan.

Affected units can be identified through serial numbers found on the evaporator coil or the case, which sits atop the vertically installed furnace.

The furnace brand and model number can be found on the furnace on the “Energy Guide” label. Consumers can refer to the instructions on Goodman’s model verification tool at https://www.recallrtr.com/drainpan.

The model number of the outdoor condenser may also be required and can be found on a label attached to the product.

The recalled items, manufactured in the U.S., were sold at heating and cooling equipment independent dealers nationwide from January 2019, through November 2021, for between $200 and $1,200 per unit.

Consumers may have purchased a bundled product including the coil, furnace, installation, and ancillary parts and supplies, or may have purchased the evaporator coil drain pan separately as a replacement product.

Consumers should contact Daikin to determine whether their unit is included in this recall and to register for the free repair by a qualified technician.

Pella Corporation of Pella, Iowa, is recalling about 12,300 Pella Architect Series casement windows.

The window’s sash can detach from the frame and fall, posing an injury hazard.

The firm has received one report of a window sash detaching from the frame and falling. No injuries have been reported.

This recall involves Pella's Architect Series venting wood and aluminum-clad casement windows.

The following four custom-made casement window types are included in this recall:

• all venting hurricane impact products with side pivot hardware,
• all venting casements with a frame height greater than 96 inches,
• all venting casements with a frame width wider than 35 inches, and
• all venting casements with a frame width greater than 29 inches and a vent height greater than 47 inches with side pivot hardware.

The serial number is etched in a lower corner of the window glass. Serial numbers included in this recall can be verified at www.PellaHingeRecall.expertinquiry.com.

The casement windows, manufactured in the U.S., were sold at authorized distributors nationwide, including Pella Window and Door stores, Lowe’s, ABC Supply, Allied Building Products, Builders First Source, Builders Supply Co, Inc., Hammond Lumber Company, McCoy’s Building Supply, National Lumber, and The Carter Companies stores nationwide from January 2021, through July 2023, for between $700 and $10,000 per window.

Consumers should keep the recalled casement windows shut and locked at all times and contact Pella to receive a free repair by a Pella-designated service technician.

Certain high-voltage battery modules may overheat, increasing the risk of a fire.

What to do

Dealers will install onboard diagnostic software to monitor battery module performance, and replace affected battery modules -- where necessary -- free of charge.

Interim owner notification letters explaining the safety risk are expected to be mailed February 16, 2024. A second notice will be sent once the remedy becomes available -- anticipated in the 3rd quarter of 2024.

Home Design of Silver Lake, Ind., is recalling about 623,000 upholstered low profile standard and platform beds sold in the U.S. and Canada.

The beds can break, sag or collapse during use, posing fall and injury hazards.

The firm has received 128 reports of the beds breaking, sagging or collapsing during use, including 36 injuries.

This recall involves all Home Design Part number 80002 Tufted Upholstered Low Profile Standard Beds, Part number 80032 Tufted Upholstered Low Profile Standard Beds, Part number 80055 Tufted Upholstered Low Profile Standard Beds, Part number 80071 Tufted Upholstered Low Profile Platform Beds, and Part number 80053 Tufted Upholstered Low Profile Platform Beds.

Part number 80002 is a gray, warm gray, or blue bed frame with standard supports requiring a box spring, available in twin, full, queen and king size.

Part number 80032 is a gray or beige bed frame with standard supports requiring a box spring, available in twin, full, queen and king size.

Part number 80055 is a silver gray, gray, or black bed frame with standard supports requiring a box spring, available in king size.

Part number 80071 is a gray, beige, or black bed frame with platform supports which does not require a box spring, available in twin, full, queen or king.

Part number 80053 is a warm gray bed frame with platform supports which does not require a box spring. It does not have a center support leg halfway along the side rail.

The part number is provided in the installation manual and was printed on the packaging. The bed frames have a law label on the back of the headboard.

The bed frames, manufactured in Malaysia, were sold at Wayfair, Walmart.com, and Overstock.com from July 2018, through November 2023, for between $100 and $300.

Steamist of East Rutherford, N.J., is recalling about 4,700 tilt-up bath & shower seats sold in the U.S., Canada and Mexico.

The wall mounting bracket and seat rods supporting the seat can corrode and break, posing fall and laceration hazards.

The firm has received 62 reports of the shower seats breaking, including four reports of injuries.

This recall involves wall-mounted, folding shower seats made of teak wood slats joined together by support rods that extend from two wall-mounting brackets.

The recalled products have model numbers SBS-101BN, SBS-101PN, SBS-101PC or SBS-101ORB and have brushed nickel, polished nickel, polished chrome or oil-rubbed bronze finishes on the support rods and bracket covers.

The seats measure 20 inches wide by 13 inches deep.

The shower seats, manufactured in China, were sold at specialty plumbing supply outlets in the U.S., Canada and Mexico from June 2009, through February 2015, for between $490 and $660.

The rearview mirror lens may dislodge from the housing.

A detached rearview mirror lens can decrease rear visibility for the driver, increasing the risk of a crash.

Dealers will install new mirror assemblies free of charge.

Land Rover is recalling 4,347 model year 2023 Range Rover Sport vehicles.

Moisture may accumulate in the right-side tailgate and body mounted lights, which can cause the right-side exterior vehicle lights -- including the brake, outer marker, reversing and turn indicator lights -- to fail to illuminate.

Exterior lights that don't illuminate can decrease visibility and increase the risk of a crash.

What to do

Dealers will replace the right-side tailgate and body mounted lights free of charge.

Homedics of Commerce Township, Mich., is recalling about 87,000 Therapist Select Percussion Personal Massagers sold in the U.S. and Canada.

The massagers can overheat while charging, posing fire and burn hazards.

The firm has received 17 reports of the massagers overheating, including one report of a burn to the consumer’s thumb.

This recall involves the HoMedics Therapist Select Massagers, model number HHP-715.

The product has a 120 VAC, 60 HZ power cord, with “HoMedics” printed on the side of the barrel of the product.

The products are black with a handle, housing, massage head attached to the end and four interchangeable massage heads.

Only manufacturing dates through the end of 2022 and prior are included in the recall. The manufacturing date is represented by a date code found on a sticker on the underside of the product’s barrel. Date codes are a 4-digit number WWYY where WW is the sequential week of the year and YY is the last two digits of the manufacturing year.

Only products with a YY of 20, 21 or 22 are being recalled.

The massagers, manufactured in China, were sold at Macy’s, BJ’s Wholesale Club, Lowe’s, JCPenney, The Home Depot and other stores nationwide and online at Homedics.com, Macys.com, BJs.com, Lowes.com, HomeDepot.com and Amazon.com from September 2020, through November 2023, for about $100.

What to do

Retrospec of Perris, Calif., is recalling about 72,000 Scout kids' bike helmets sold in the U.S and Canada.

The helmets do not comply with the coverage, positional stability, and labeling requirements of federal safety regulation for bicycle helmets, and can fail to protect in a crash, posing a risk of head injury.

No incidents or injuries are reported.

This recall involves Scout model Retrospec kids' bike helmets in sizes XS and S.

The helmets were sold in the following colors and designs: Blippi, Blush, Brash Blue, Chameleon, Cool Mint, Matte Forest Green, Matte Black, Matte Navy, Matte White, Matte Burnt Orange, Matte Green, Matte Royal Blue, and Matte Whisper Pink.

A green hang tag label lists the name “Retrospec,” the Scout brand name, the helmet size.

The word Retrospec or the Retrospec “R” logo appears on the right side of the helmet.

The helmets, manufactured in China, were sold at T Scheels, Play it Again Sports, and independent bicycle stores nationwide and online at Retrospec.com and Amazon.com from February 2019, through March 2023, for between $18 and $23.

New Age Industries of Vietnam and 31 furniture companies are recalling millions of New Age Industries furniture tip kits or tip restraints.

The plastic zip tie used with the recalled furniture tip kits can become brittle or break, which can allow a clothing storage unit that is anchored to the wall to detach, posing a tip-over and entrapment hazard that can result in death or serious injuries to children.

Furniture companies have received two reports of the New Age tip kits breaking. No injuries have been reported.

This recall involves plastic New Age furniture tip restraint kits that were sold and distributed by various furniture companies with clothing storage units.

The kits included a plastic zip-tie, two brackets, and two screws and were sold with clothing storage units.

The date of manufacture should be listed on a sticker or stamped on the clothing storage unit as November 2019 or later.

The packaging of the recalled tip kits is white with black lettering and includes directions on how to anchor furniture. The bottom of the packaging states “Manufactured by New Age Industries.”

Blue Ridge Beef is recalling 2 lb logs of Kitten Grind, 2 lb logs of Kitten Mix and 2 lb logs of Puppy Mix.

The products may be contaminated with Salmonella and Listeria monocytogenes, which can affect animals eating the products.

Humans handling contaminated pet products may be affected, especially if they have not thoroughly washed their hands after handling the products or any surfaces exposed to these products.

No illnesses have been reported to date.

The recalled products include:

• Kitten Grind, UPC 8 54298 00101 6 and use by dates N24 1114 to N24 1224,

Bell Sports of Irvine, Calif., is recalling about 11,000 Bell Slope adult helmets.

The strap anchor can become dislodged from the helmet when sufficient force is applied, and therefore violates the CPSC federal safety regulation for bicycle helmets.

The helmets can fail to protect in the event of a crash, posing a risk of head injury.

No incidents or injuries are reported.

This recall involves Bell Slope adult bicycle helmets sold in dark green and light blue.

The recalled helmets can be identified by the inner helmet sticker which has the model’s name “Slope” and B1161X written on it.

The helmets, manufactured in Rantoul, Ill., were sold at Target, Fred Meyer, Academy, other stores nationwide and other websites from January through April 2023, for about $30.

What to do

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled helmets and contact Bell Sports for a refund.

Porsche Cars North America is recalling 41,345 of the following vehicles:

When using the industrial 220V/240V plug at the 100% charge setting, some home power outlets may be incapable of handling the electrical current required to utilize the compact charging system, causing the outlet or charging cable to overheat.

An overheated outlet or charging cable can increase the risk of a fire.

What to do

Owners should not use the 220V/240V compact/portable charging cable and only use the 110V home charging cable or public charging stations.

Dealers will supply a new 220V/240V compact/portable charging cable with an incorporated temperature sensor free of charge.

Interim owner notification letters explaining the safety risk are expected to be mailed February 9, 2024.

A second notice will be sent once remedy parts become available, anticipated mid-2024.

Brandline of Dallas, Texas, is recalling about 820 HEAO 4-in-1 High Chairs.

The high chairs pose a suffocation risk because they were marketed, intended, or designed for infant sleep, and have an incline angle greater than 10 degrees in violation of the CPSC’s Infant Sleep Products Rule and the Safe Sleep for Babies Act.

In addition, they pose finger laceration and entrapment hazards as they failed to meet mandatory requirements under the high chair standard.

The firm is aware of one incident that resulted in a laceration to a child’s finger requiring medical attention.

The recall involves HEAO’s 4-in-1 adjustable height and multiple recline positions high chairs sold in black, blue, gold, green, gray, pink and red.

The high chairs have a footrest, a detachable tray, seat cushion, and four static or rotating wheels with locks.

“HEAO” is on the high chair’s head support of the seat cushion and on the front of the tray.

“Max Lead Int’l Ltd. 3113 Glenfield Ave., Dallas, TX 75233 (302) 448-4207” is printed on a label stitched on the back of the seat cushion.

The high chairs were sold exclusively online at Amazon.com from November 2022, through September 2023, for about $170.
