    Ford recalls nearly 400,000 Explorers and Lincoln Aviators and Corsairs

    The rearview camera image may not display properly

    Ford Motor Company is recalling 382,759 model year 2020-2023 Explorers & Lincoln Aviators, and model year 2020-2022 Lincoln Corsairs with a 360-degree camera.

    This expands and replaces a recall issued in October 2021.

    The video output may fail, preventing the rearview camera image from displaying.

    Loss of the rearview camera image can reduce the driver's rear visibility, increasing the risk of a crash.

    What to do

    Dealers will update the image processing module (IPMB) software free of charge.

    Vehicles repaired under the earlier will need to have the new remedy performed.

    Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed February 20, 2023.

    Lifetime Brands recalls hot chocolate pots

    The metallic paint on the pots can spark if microwaved

    Lifetime Brands of Garden City, N.Y., is recalling about 3,100 hot chocolate pots sold in the U.S. and Canada.

    The pots are mislabeled as microwave safe. If microwaved, the metallic paint on the pots can spark, posing a fire hazard.

    No incidents or injuries are reported.

    This recall involves hot chocolate pots with SKU/UGS number 9292417 located on the bottom of the box.

    The ceramic pot is white with a red lid and features a reindeer on the front side.

    It includes a battery-operated frothing wand with the date code 5/22 displayed on the bottom of the pot.

    The hot chocolate pots, manufactured in China, were sold exclusively at Williams-Sonoma stores nationwide, online at www.williams-sonoma.com and through Williams-Sonoma catalogs from September through November 2022 for about $100.

    What to do

    Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled pots and contact Williams-Sonoma for instructions on how to return the product for a full refund plus a $20 gift card.

      The owner's manual may contain incorrect instructions for adjusting the sensitivity of the High Beam Assist function.

      This may cause the lights to not be adjusted as intended, increasing the risk of a crash.

      What to do

      Subaru will mail an owner's manual insert containing the correct information free of charge.

      The garments fail to meet federal flammability standards

      Shanghai Jing Cheng Landscape Engineering Company of China is recalling about 3,300 sets of children’s sleepwear.

      The sleepwear fails to meet the federal flammability standards for children’s sleepwear, posing a risk of burn injuries.

      No incidents or injuries are reported.

      This recall involves Shanghai Jing Cheng Landscape Engineering Company’s NewCosplay long-sleeved, button-up one-piece sleepwear.

      The garments are made of 100% polyester and were sold in sizes 4T through 10 years in black cat, black penguin, black pig, gray elephant, gray penguin, kangaroo, koala, panda, pink pig, unicorn, red eye panda, white chicken and yellow chicken characters.

      The inside seam label displays the fiber content and washing instructions. The sewn-in neck label displays the garment’s size and “NEWCOSPLAY.”

      The sleepwear, manufactured in China, was sold online at www.amazon.com from October 2021, through May 2022, for between $17 and $26.

      What to do

      Consumers should immediately take the recalled sleepwear away from children, stop using them and contact Shanghai Jing Cheng Landscape Engineering Company for a full refund.

      Consumers should destroy the garments by cutting them in half and email Shanghai Jing Cheng Landscape Engineering Company a photo of the destroyed garment at 591025473@qq.com. Upon receipt of the photo, consumers will be issued a full refund of the purchase price.

      An electrical short may shut the engine down unexpectedly

      Chrysler is recalling 67,118 model year 2017-2023 Pacifica Plug-In Hybrid Electric vehicles (PHEVs).

      An internal transmission wiring connector may short circuit, resulting in an unexpected engine shutdown.

      This can cause a loss of drive power, increasing the risk of a crash.

      What to do

      Dealers will update the Power Inverter Module (PIM) software and -- if necessary -- update the instrument panel cluster (IPC) software free of charge.

      Meguiar’s recalls headlight sealant

      The packaging is not child resistant as required by federal law

      Meguiar’s of Irvine, Calif., is recalling about 140,000 containers of heavy duty headlight sealant.

      The headlight sealant contains low-viscosity hydrocarbons which must be in child resistant packaging as required by the Poison Prevention Packaging Act (PPPA).

      The packaging for the products does not meet the requirements, posing a risk of poisoning if the contents are swallowed by young children.

      No incidents or injuries are reported.

      This recall involves the Meguiar’s Heavy Duty Headlight Sealant, which is included in the Meguiar’s Heavy Duty Headlight Restoration Kit, product number G2980.

      The headlight sealant comes in a 2.5-ounce amber glass bottle and has “Headlight Sealant” in black lettering on a yellow background and “Heavy Duty” and “Meguiar’s” printed on the label.

      Only headlight sealant packaged in an amber glass bottle are part of the recall.

      The headlight sealant, manufactured in the U.S., was sold at Advance Auto Parts, AutoZone, O’Reilly Auto Parts and Walmart stores nationwide and online at Amazon.com and other websites from January through August 2022 for about $30.

      What to do

      The glass container may break, posing fire and injury hazards

      Ross Procurement of Dublin, Calif., is recalling about 5,800 Taylor and Finch six-wick scented candles.

      The product can combust while lit causing the glass container to break, posing fire and injury hazards.

      The firm has received five reports of candles combusting and the glass container breaking, including one report of minor injury.

      This recall involves Taylor and Finch 6-wick scented candles in Spiced Apple & Rosewood and Cedarwood & Clove scents, and sold in 44-ounce red or white glass containers.

      The scent of the candles and “Taylor and Finch” are printed on a label on the side of the glass container.

      The SKU number, which may be found here, is located on the price label on the bottom of the container.

      The candles, manufactured in China, were sold at Ross stores nationwide from August through October 2022 for about $17.

      The pajama sets are a two-piece long-sleeve shirt and pant pajama, made of 95% polyester and 5% elasthane with ribbed cuffed wrists and ankles.

      The pajamas were sold for ages 3 through 12 and in 26 designs: Birthday Boy, Birthday Boy (The Tot Exclusive), Birthday Girl, Birthday Girl (The Tot Exclusive), Cutesy Christmas, Dinosaur, Easter (The Tot Exclusive), Funny Bunny, Halloween (The Tot Exclusive), Hanukkah (The Tot Exclusive), Hanukkah, Happy Holidays, Ice Kream Kitty, Kawaii, Let It Snow, Mermaid, Positivity Powers, Princess, Reindeer, Sleeping Sloth, Space Adventures, Superhero Comic, Trick Or Treat, Unicorn, Valentine’s Day and Yule-Icorn.

      Honda expands recall of Talon 1000 ROVs

      The engine may fail, causing a loss of control

      American Honda Motor Co. of Torrance, Calif., is expanding an earlier recall of model year 2019-2021 Honda Talon 1000 ROVs.

      Roughly 3,200 of the vehicles were recalled in Match 2022.

      The vehicle's intake funnel band screw can loosen and enter the engine through the intake funnel and cause sudden engine failure.

      This can result in a loss of control, increasing the risk of a crash or injury.

      The firm has received a total of 18 reports of incidents, including one report of a loss of control, resulting in a crash with minor injuries to the occupants.

      This recall expansion involves an additional 2,000 model year 2021 model year Honda Talon 1000 side-by-sides with model numbers Talon 1000 S2 and Talon 1000 S4.

      The vehicles were sold in various colors including red, blue, green, gray and yellow.

      “HONDA” is printed on the front, sides and the rear of each vehicle. “Talon” is printed on a label located on both sides of the vehicle. The Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) number is stamped on the frame on the left side under the left front fender.

      The ROVs, manufactured in the U.S., were sold at authorized Honda Powersports dealers nationwide from March 2019 through September 2022 for between $20,000 and $27,000.

      What to do

      Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled ROVs and contact an authorized Honda Powersports dealer to schedule an appointment for a free inspection and repair, which includes proper tightening and thread deformation of the intake funnel screw.

      The tilt latch can cause the window opening control devices to malfunction, posing fall and injury hazards.

      No incidents or injuries have been reported.

      This recall involves the MI Windows and Doors 1620 vinyl single-hung impact windows with window opening control devices sold in a variety of sizes and colors.

      The recalled window has two surface-mounted tilt latches and two window opening control devices, on the left and right sides of the window. 

      This recall includes only 1620 impact windows with window opening control devices manufactured prior to November 2022.

      The window label is located at the top of the window and has the manufacture date on the far right of the label.

      The windows, manufactured in the U.S., were sold at independent window distributors, including C and C Window & Door and Southeastern Sash, in the U.S. southern coastal region, including in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina and Texas, from September 2017, through November 2022, for between $500 and $700.

      What to do

      Consumers should immediately close and lock the recalled windows and contact MI Windows and Doors for a free repair. MI will arrange for a free in-home repair to replace the window opening control devices.

      BISSELL Homecare of Grand Rapids, Mich., is recalling about 65,300 BISSELL Cordless Multi-Surface Wet Dry Vacuums, models 2551, 2551W and 25519 sold in the U.S. and Canada.

      The circuit board inside the vacuum’s battery pack can overheat and smoke, posing a fire hazard.

      The firm has received 66 reports of the vacuum smoking and emitting a burning odor, including five reports of the battery pack catching on fire, three of which resulted in minor property damage and one resulting in a burn injury.

      This recall involves BISSELL Cordless Multi-Surface Wet Dry Vacuum models 2551, 2551W and 25519.

      “BISSELL” is printed on the foot of the product.

      The model numbers are visible when the clean water tank is removed.

      What to do

      Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled vacuums and contact BISSELL for a free battery pack replacement.

      Consumers may either take the product to a local BISSELL authorized service center for a free battery pack replacement or schedule a free in-home repair visit from an authorized BISSELL service technician to replace the existing battery pack.
