Consumer Complaints and Reviews
I got ripped off in 2009 on 2 action figures I ordered. I not only did not receive the orders but they tried to use my credit card number to purchase a $99 item in Florida the next day. Glad I check on the status daily and caught it right away and cancelled it. Upon further investigation, I found ToyGlobe is a fraud online entity that has been operating since 2001 and no one has arrested these people. They are based in Toronto, Canada and it's run by a group of Nigerians. I reported them to everyone I could in 2009. Seems they are still doing a heavy business of stealing credit card numbers and not delivering anything ordered. When will it stop? They have 3 other businesses at the same address in Toronto. I can imagine a tiny office with a few phones and computers sucking in lots of credit card numbers daily.
On January 7th, I ordered a Paperweight set with a price of $91.42. The money was immediately withdrawn from my account. I still haven't received any sort of notification of shipping. I have sent them emails without any response and called their phone number to get the machine and they never returned my phone call. I have opened up a claim against them on PayPal and I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I will get my money back.
I should have looked at a review before I purchased. Like everybody, I placed an order with this company for a $40 item only to receive no confirmation of shipment, no item, and no replies to emails. I have made attempts to call and the phone seems to be disconnected. I currently have an open case with PayPal to hopefully get my money back.
I am utterly shocked at all the complaints! I too, did not investigate this company before purchasing an Atomic Betty Sparky Figure. I really wish I had done so. Now. It has been over 60 days, and no contact at all from the company! I have called, and emailed the "company", to no avail. I had to cancel my credit card, and contact the BBB, IC3, and open a dispute with my bank! I am disgusted by this company and urge everyone to contact BBB, IC3, and anyone else, who may be able to help, in closing this place down! I lost money, I have added stress for the holidays, and no resolution is in sight for this issue!
Stay away! These ** have ripped me and all of you off! If you can, get your bank to do a back charge because you will never receive your order. I ordered back on 10/04/2010, never received, etc., same story.
The women behind this is Jenny **. Her email is **, give her **. She'll tell you, she "use" to work for Toyglobe and call you an idiot and leave it at that. Research these sites before ordering. I've learned and become aware that there are intelligent people capable of creating a website to rip off hard working people like ourselves trying to make our kids happy for birthday's and Christmas. This site looks too good to be true and it is. I wish all you the best, but if you don't get a back charge your out of money.

Phone calls and an email have gone unanswered and I haven't received all my product.
I ordered a toy for my son for Christmas. I received an order number and notification of shipping date. Almost a month later, I have received nothing. Three phone calls and an email have gone unanswered. I am out $38.95.
I placed an order on 11-27-10. My credit card was charged immediately but I never received my order. I had the same problem as the other complaints on this site. You can't get in touch with anyone and there was no response to voicemail messages that I left or emails that I sent. I never received a confirmation email or tracking number. When I notified my credit card company, they issued me a credit.
In mid-November 2010, I placed an order with Toyglobe.com for a Terry Sawchuk figurine, listed at $15.95, with extremely high postage of $12.95. I received a confirmation email of this order, and was told that as soon as the payment was processed, that the item would ship. There was also a lot of fine print attached to their order confirmation, stating that if the warehouse prices go up, that the difference would then automatically be charged to my method of payment (my debit card). This was a red flag because this seems illegal, especially since this information was not made available to me, until after I had already placed my order. Days passed, and no charge was made to my debit card. On November 26, 2010, I got an email from Toyglobe.com saying, they have received the order in their system but their admin was upgrading their payment system, therefore the payment didn't go through, and asked me to reorder from their website. They apologized for this inconvenience.
I thought this also was suspicious so I went back to Toyglobe.com and looked at the Terry Sawchuck figurine, and the price had been raised a dollar. This company didn't honor a valid order, that had been placed and accepted at the base price of $15.95 for the figurine, and then tried to get an extra dollar out of me for the price increase of the item, by using some fake excuse of payment failure due to the upgrading of their system. I know a scam when I see it. This company is ripping people off, and manipulating situations, and pricing with unscrupulous practices. My only loss is that my husband will not get the item as his Christmas gift, so I am fortunate than the rest of you.
After reading all of your horror stories, I will be keeping an eye on my bank account, to make sure this company does not charge me for this order. I strongly suggest you all report this company to the FBI IC3 Internet Crimes division. The report can be filed right at their site here **. You may also want to contact the New York State Attorney General's Office at this site **. Use the "contact Us" link at the upper right hand side of the page. If enough complaints are received at the NY State Attorney General's Office, an investigation will be started.
Ordered 3 piece Uruk-hai set to complete characters on Lord Of The Rings pinball machine I needed to sell. Placed order on Aug 12 and received a backorder notice. Sent email for status and was told order due any day. Repeated emails go unanswered and I have no merchandise. Requested refund and got no reply.
I wish that I had googled this scamming website before I made my purchase, but I didn't. I noticed that most of the reports on here are about a year old. Don't let that fool you into thinking they are better now! ToyGlobe is still scamming people!
I ordered a MacFarlane NHL figure from them on Oct 10th. On Oct 11th, they sent me notification that I was being billed for the in-stock items that I had ordered, and on Oct 12th the money was taken out of my bank account. This implies to me that the product was in order and that they charged me so that they could ship it. However, two weeks later, I still had not received my product. I sent them a message via their website contact on Oct 24th asking if the product had been shipped and if there was any tracking information available.
John replied and told me that my item was on backorder and that it was being shipped that week and I receive it within 7 days, and I would receive tracking information for it. My first problem with that statement is that it is in contradiction to the first email I received that stated that I was being charged for in-stock items. But, that was fine, as long as I got the product. I wasn't going to fuss about the terminology used. However, it has now been another 2 weeks and I haven't received my product, and I haven't received any tracking information. I sent them another message via this site, which no one responded to. I then sent them a third contact via the site today and I tried calling the phone number and got the same "mailbox full" message that so many others have reported. It has now been a month since I ordered the product, they took my money, but have not given me the product that I ordered.
I ordered a Star Wars figure over a month ago. They sent me a confirmation number 309626 over three weeks ago and charged my credit card last month. I still do not have the toy which they said would be here in three to seven days. Can you help? I notice that I am not the only one cheated by this firm.
I placed an order 2 months ago, for $94.00 and I never received it. When I e-mailed Toyglobe to inquire about my order and credit card being charged, they told me that some of my order items were on backorder and will be shipped within 7 business days. It has been 2 months and I have not received any thing. I have sent numerous e-mails to inquire about my order and have gotten no response. I've tried calling and left several messages, much to no avail.
Toyglobe is nothing but a ripoff. They have charged our credit card for an order and we haven't received it. When I contact them, one of the nameless sales people even had the gall to ask if I was okay as we threatened to contact any relevant authorities about them.
I ordered merchandise in July and have not received it. I paid and they received payment. They said they would ship it, but now close to 3 months, and nothing shipped.
On July 14th, 2010, I ordered a Bratz Princess Cloe doll on toyglobe.com. The doll was $20 in stores in 2006, but she's now hard to find, so I paid $60 for her here! Now it is August 16th, 2010 and I have not received my doll, or the promised tracking number! I have sent in multiple e-mails, none of which were returned. I also called plenty of times. The first time, some old guy told me to leave a message, and since then every call has been forwarded to voicemail, which is permanently full.
I don't even know where to start with this company. I have been buying comic collectibles on the internet for 10 years and for all the talk I heard about various scams, I previously never ran into one. You don't even need to read my review, go check out the hundreds others just like it complaining about the conduct of this "company". I use the term “company” loosely as it paints the picture of an entity that wishes to sell a product at a set price to a consumer in exchange for money. The latter half of this process, they have no problem with. Your money will be taken immediately, whether or not the product is in stock.
The price you are charged will be somewhat of a loose floating figure dependent, it seems, on how the person robbing you of your money is feeling that day. I ordered a set of Hulk action figures. I was told I would be sent a tracking number and I would be charged only for the items that were in stock. I was charged the full price 4 days after my order and told I would receive the figures at most 15 business days after that. Now first off, I am a resident of Canada and the company operates in Canada, but I am charged in US funds and charged as an international shipper. Ok, some companies deal only in US funds. I can deal with that. So a month goes by with no tracking number, no emails to explain the lateness and no figures. I do what I should have done before placing the order and do a search of Toyglobe reviews.
Like everyone else here, I was panicked after about 15 seconds of doing so. I started to leave messages with them. I filled out the order form on the website indicating I had still received no tracking number or items and was growing concerned and after 48 hours, which is the amount of time they promise to return your message within, I had heard nothing. I called the phone number on the web page for about 3 hours. Each time I got a message indicating the mail box was full. I finally did get through to a machine and took full advantage leaving several messages stating my intention to contact authorities as I now believed myself to be a victim of fraud. After about 8 hours and some pretty damning messages, I got an email response saying simply sorry for the lateness, one of my items was back ordered, and that I would be receiving them within 7 days.
So they lied about their policy of charging only for items that were in stock and going to be shipped and that is assuming they actually ship the items after his debacle. I responded that they could keep the toys, that my credit card was canceled, and that I would be requesting a charge back with my bank to get my cash back. I urge anyone who has an order with them to cancel it, cancel your credit card (many complaints directed towards them indicate people were often the victims of credit card fraud after their dealings with Toyglobe at the hands of overseas criminals) and get your money back.
Even if they were going to actually send my figures I have no wish to do business with a company who conducts themselves so poorly. I have in fact read many accounts of people who simply do not pursue action afterward and these people are the ones they make money off of and have been doing so since 2002 it seems. I have one name only that I've been able to find synonymous with Toyglobe, Google it. See her online resume indicating she worked for them. It also indicates she owns a company (it appears she does not), Eventualities Event Planning. So I don't believe for sure that she no longer works for this company Toyglobe as her resume states.
In fact you will find a toyglobe.com blog that she is still linked as a contributor for. You will find a phone number for Toyglobe that is not the main one on the web page. This phone number is linked to several other company names, including one that is run by her husband, a trucking company. Though the phone number is listed to 3 different companies with links to her, the person who actually owns the phone number is someone with a different name who says they work for Procter and Gamble on their answering machine. There is something very illegal going on here which I hope to uncover. Anyone else who wishes to share information, please contact me.
I ordered 4 Stargate action figures from the Toyglobe website and they immediately charged my credit card. Initially they sent me a couple of emails stating that one of my items was on back order and I would receive my order within two weeks. This was nonsense.
3 months later I have received 2 of the cheapest of the 4 items I paid for and have had no response to the many emails i have sent Toyglobe requesting an update on the status of the remaining 2 items or a refund. It's no big surprise after reading hundreds of bad reviews on the internet about Toyglobe.
Also note, Toyglobe does not give a shipping total cost when you order your products and they often mislabel products. They advertised an action figure as color prototype Colonel Mitchell, when the product was really an Atlantis Daniel Jackson in BDU's.
I'm in the middle of reporting Toyglobe to IC3, FBI, NYPD, Canadian Police (their contact phone number is in Montreal), National Consumers League, Federal Trade Commission, BBB and every other internet fraud investigation agency I can possibly find, as well as all consumer review websites, action figure collector sites and bulletin boards. I suggest all victims of Toyglobe do the same and let's try to shut down these crooks. I fully intend to devote the next few years to putting these guys out of business. I'm on disability and rarely leave my home and will fight any pathetic institution that takes advantage of disabled people and honest people in general. I also recommend all ripped off customers contact their bank and have the fraudulent credit card charges reversed.
On March 27, 2010, Toyglobe charged my credit card for payment. Order is still not received and this is June 14th. No reply to e-mails, phone calls or their site inquiries. Toyglobe needs to be boycotted. I’m a very disappointed boy on his birthday. I was very frustrating for me and I have lost faith in online shopping. So this company is affecting other companies as well and the public needs to be aware of this and get them shut down. Anyone have any ideas on how to get rid of Toyglobe?
I ordered an action figure for my son at 4/06/2010 for $31.00. They charged my credit card that very day. I inquired about it a couple weeks later because of no delivery. Got a response from "John" saying they screwed up, it'd be another 2 weeks and that I would be updated. No updates. I called and left a message on their voice mail as well. I have sent follow up e-mails on 5/16, 5/21 and 5/31 all with no responses. The voice mail box is now full and cannot leave messages. I sent another e-mail on 6/13 cancelling my order wanting a full refund. With all these other complaints being made, (I wish I had read them first), I know my money is gone. Thankfully, it's not a great amount. This business should be investigated.
They charged $129.72 to my credit card and never sent the items and will not respond to calls or emails. They stole money from me.
Scammed... Ordered cars figurines online at a cost of $40.56 including shipping. Got an instant e-mail saying the items were in-stock, my credit card would be billed and I'd get my order in 10 days. Plus it said I'd receive a tracking e-mail. Checked credit card statement and was billed $51.65 to Jeux Toyglobe.com Saint-Laurent. A month goes by and nothing. I e-mailed and got a reply a few days later saying the reason I hadn't got my order was because 1 item was back ordered but now I would get my order in 7 days. Another month goes by and nothing. E-mailed again asking to be refunded. Now all contact has stopped. E-mails not replied to and phone calls not returned. Like I said, scammed. Lesson learned. No product, no refund, feel like a fool, sad child.
On January 07, 2010 I ordered nine action figures $239.42 at toyglobe.com. It is May 20, 2010 and I still have not received my order and my credit card was charged for this order back in. I gave them additional time and then began around February 20th trying to contact Toyglobe to obtain a USPS tracking number so I could locate my purchase. They email me immediately that they had received my question and would contact me within two days.
On 04/26/2010 I received an email saying: Hello. Sorry for the delay. One of your items was back ordered. Your order will be shipping out this week. You will receive it within 10 days. You will receive an email with all the tracking info. Thanks for your patience. So far not received 05/20/2010. I'm from Brazil, very little I can do, help me! I ordered some LPS animals on February 16, 2010. It was for my daughter's birthday, 127 dollars. I received an order confirmation, but I never got a track and trace number and never received the items. Sad that I didn't check up on the company before I ordered anything. Why can't anyone shut this company down when so many people never received the things they have paid for? I never had these problems when I buy things in Danish internet stores. Very frustrating!
I ordered a product from toyglobe.com for my son's birthday. I was charged $73.39. Two days later, I received an email saying that it will take 2-3 days to process and that I will then be contacted with a tracking number.
I was never contacted with a tracking number and it is a month later and I still haven't received the merchandise. I have called the number on their website about 100 times but no one ever answers and the mail box is always full so I can't leave a message. I emailed them my concerns about not receiving the product or tracking number and they said that they "really screwed up" my order and that they "went to pack and ship the product and didn't realize it was out of stock". They went on to say that they have word that they will be receiving the product from their distributor within the next 14 days and asked if I still wanted the product. I said no and that I wanted a credit but of course, I haven't seen one.
I have disputed the charge with my bank, canceled my card and hope to receive my money back that way. This company is a fraud and needs to be investigated and shut down!
I also purchased from this site right mid-December 2009. I immediately received an email notification and my credit card charged. The purchased items were never received. I emailed the company and also tried calling (mailbox full). This company is a scam and needs to be shutdown. Do not purchase from Toyglobe.com.
Took money out of account, never sent the three items. I have e-mailed and called time and time again. All I got were e-mails saying send ASAP. Never did I get them though. I am really ** of that they can get away with this. Going to the bank today to charge them with fraud. Fakes.
I ordered for $85 on 12/06/09 for some toys from Toyglobe.com for my son. It is January 20, 2010 and I still have not received my order and my credit card was charged for this order back a day after my order. I have emailed the company many many many times. I have no response back. I have not even a tracking number as promised.
On December 2, 2009, I ordered three items totaling $161.77. All items said they were available when I placed my order. When the order came finally around December 20, only two of the items were in the package with a note saying that the third was currently out of stock and that they would be shipping it in two to three weeks. Well, the items were for Christmas so I went to the site and told them to cancel the last item instead of sending it and credit my account the amount of $49.99 for the missing item. It is now January 12, 2010. I have emailed them twice and received no answer or credit back into my account.
In October 2009, I ordered five Clone Wars action figures from Toyglobe.com for 103.24 euros ($116.37), shipping expenses included. I received notification from Toyglobe on October 23rd that my order would be shipped within 15 days and my credit card account was charged immediately. As my items didn't arrive, I e-mailed Toyglobe asking for some explanation; they emailed me immediately that they had received my question and would contact me within two days. When that time passed and I had not heard anything, I emailed a second, more strongly-worded complaint, and again only got the canned, "We'll get back to you," response. I emailed them a third and a fourth time with the same results. Now it's December 25th. I'm angry, out the 103.24 euros and a much longed Christmas gift for my son. How sad that this company is allowed to stay online and deceive honest, hardworking customers out of their money.
