I keep getting phone calls and messages about a payday loan that I supposedly took out in June of 2012 for $300! I have never taken out a payday loan period! They say it's from LoanShopOnline.com. I called my bank and they went through all of my banking history for 2012 and did find anything from a payday loan deposited into my acct! They are trying to serve me court papers at an address that I have never lived at and can't give me a number or email address to the supposed company that I supposedly owe money to! PLEASE if anyone has any info on this company or J. Power Group PLEASE let me know!!!
I received a letter stating I have an outstanding loan from 2012. I have not applied for a loan from this company but am not sure how to resolve this issue.
I took out a loan with the loan shop and I paid it back in a settlement agreement over a year ago. Now I am getting harassed by the NAM Group stating they need a letter stating my loan was paid in full. I have been told the company that hired them to investigate was Debt Management Partners. They are threatening to come to my house now. I paid my loan back and now I am being asked by this company I know nothing about to prove I paid it. They are rude and scary, and they have said if I don't have proof I will have to pay the already paid debt. They are a total scam and I am afraid of what they will do now that they have my personal information!
I had a loan with LoanShopOnline, in 2013. I changed banks and attempt to take care/pay my debt. I couldn't get touch with the right department. In March 2014, I received a phone call from a pre-trail staff **. Telling me that I am being sued by LSO, LoanShopOnline. I paid them the outstanding amount. Well four to six months later I received a phone call from another collection agency. They informed me, I owed LSO. Not true I paid them in full. I fax the information and they were satisfied. Last week 6-17-15, I a phone call from **, wanting my supervisor's name, so someone from her office could serve me with legal papers.
This company has been illegally harassing me, even though I explained to them that I have retained Jacoby & Meyers as my attorney for Chapter 7 Bankruptcy. I have told them that I am waiting for my court date, and they keep sending emails. By law I can have them pay for my case because of the harassment. I have a copy of all the emails, and I am going to send it in.

Last year, my information was compromised because I fell victim to a phantom call scheme. I have never in my life taken out a payday loan, but my account and social and all other personal info were compromised, and I noticed a lot of activity in my account from them since May of last year. As a result, I froze my account. Since then, these people have been harassing for money, and the overseas phantom calls have increased. I am beyond convinced of LSO and the international phantom calls I have been receiving. I want these people put in jail.
I had three companies taking payday loans out which were never applied for and now they keep calling my phone number. My information was lost at one time, so they had my banking information, social and my routing number. I put a stop to it at the bank and put in a fraud complain. I also wrote to the attorney general of NY. I would like these people to stop the harassment. I don't know who they are speaking to. I never signed any papers.
I received a payday loan in the amount of $250 from this company in March 2011. I made several payments every two week as this company was taking out a fee of $75.
However, sometime in May, I had to close my account due to being evicted and other financial problems. I received several threatening emails at work and phone calls back-to-back from Mr. **. I called Mr. ** back and explained that I could make monthly payments due to my financial hardship and that once I'm financially better, I would be able to do more. I asked him to never call my job again being that I could get fired. He stated he didn't care what my financial situation was, that I owed $700.
I do not deny that I received this loan of $250 but at this point in my life, I do not have a roof over me and my kids' head and facing losing my kids. I am willing to make monthly payments until this debt is paid. I can not afford for this company to continuously harass me and keep calling my job in risk of me being fired.
She calls my job several times a day, even after me asking her on several occasions. She was rude, she yelled at me and they are taking money out of my bank account without my permission. I fell so far behind on my bills because at one time, the deducted $300.00 from my account. I have had to close that account and open another one. Something needs to be done about her rudeness. But she is not the only rude person there that I've dealt with. This company must hire the most unintelligent people in the US. I want the harassing calls to stop, especially at my place of employment be for I get fired.
I received a collection letter for the above mentioned company stating that "I may have overlooked my account". I have never opened an account with this company nor have I signed any contract for a loan. My checking account was hacked in September and since then I have have received multiple calls and text messages letting me know that I have "been approved" for the loan I applied for (either car loan, cash advance and educational loans). I have left a message for the company requesting signed loan document. I will post my progress on this matter.
Loanshoponline.com and its partners and affiliates violated California state laws in regards to my loans by the following actions. Loanshoponline.com is not licensed in the State of California to provide deferred deposit transactions, a violation of California Financial Code section 23005. Loanshoponline.com provided two loans to me--one for $400 and another for $100--a violation of California Financial Code sections 23036 and 23037. Loanshoponline.com charged 30% fees on the loans, maximum allowable in the State of California is 15%, a violation of California Financial Code section 23036. Loanshoponline.com loaned more than the allowable amount by the State of California. Maximum allowable is $300; first loan was $400, a violation of California Financial Code section 23035.
Loanshoponline.com continuously rolled over the loan which is not allowed by the State of California. 1st loan rolled over 43 times at $120 per time., 2nd loan rolled over 40 times at $30 per time, a violation of California Financial Code sections 23035, 23036 and 23037. Loanshoponline.com did not provide the written disclosures required under California law, a violation of California Financial Code section 23035.
On November 23, 2009 the State of California’s Department of Corporations filed an Amended Desist and Refrain Order against Loanshoponline.com and its partners and affiliates to desist and refrain from engaging in the business of deferred deposit transactions in the State of California due to the above actions and violations of California Financial Code Sections 23005, 23035, 23036 and 23037. The legal amount that could have been charged for my loans if they were licensed by the State of California would be the principal amounts and a one time fee of 15% of that principal amount. The total amount debited from my back account from the company is $6,360.00.
PROBLEM #1I took out a loan in July 2008 for $300 and owed the loan shop online $390 total with interest included. after having to move to a new location while trying to pay rent and car fees it wasnt easy to pay it back. Every one to two weeks they posted payment to my empty bank account, which started to accumulate NSF (Non Sufficient Fund) fees because of their attempted withdrawals. within 3 months, the account was closed by the bank because the fees escalated over $700 in negative balance. The loan was also accumulating late fees as well, so i now owed a total of $1,020 for a $300 loan!the problem is, while you are paying it in portions, the late fees still accumlate bi-weekly...almost making it impossible to pay off, unless in whole.
PROBLEM#2 (as of today)
After calling the company to make a payment arrangement, i was told that i could pay $255 every month for 4 months. After setting the dates with them, i saved them in my calender as a reminder of when the withdrawal will be made from my checking account. After considering the amount of bills i had and other obligations larger than this, i called the comoany back to cancel our arrangement, and pay off the balance as i could-since arrangements can only be made by them THAT MONTH, and i knew i wouldnt have all of it. My accoutn manager Kristen says "it boggles my mins that you are not taking this seriously.your acting very nonchalant about this". i told her "i have priorities beyond my financial capability, and this can be paid after these have been settled next month, since its already in collections." she said "fine, i will put in in the notes that you have refused payment. goodbye maam"
After this i was ****** because of how rude she was. 3 days later(today), i was doing online banking and noticed that the loan shop had posted a payment of $390 to my checking account without my approval or notice!this was a random withdrawal, and had not been one of the dates i had originally set at time of arrangement. because of this, my bank added another NSF fee! i called immediately and was told that they had every right to take funds from the account without my permission, because i had signed a contract when i took the loan. Keep in mind, this is a completely new account. I didnt have this one open when i took out the loan. they only had it because i tried to make an arrangement.The woman got really loud and rude with me, saying that they can post when they want because its their attemp to collect a dept.
I hung up on her, and called back to speak to someone else. While i was on hold..i noticed that they were calling my job while i was still at my desk! they also called the CEO of my company, and the HR department. As soon as another representative was on the line, i asked "why are you guys calling my job?" and she said "please hold." At this point i am boiling angry. Although this new customer service rep woman was nicer in her tone, she said the same thing and included " we have many means to get your employment varified, and we will call whatever number we need to to get that imformation. If you want to decide to not give us another date to post payment, we will attemp in other ways to collect this dept." so i told her "well you wont do it with my checking account. My bank has blocked all future posts from your company to keep you people from closing yet another account due to negative fees!" then she said "well, we will call your job if we need to, have a nice day maam."
On 12-10-2008 I noticed a charge to my checking account for $160 from Loan Shop Online.When I called this company I was told that I had signed a contract and that they could debit this account at any time.She refused to put her Supervisor on the phone.She also refused to send me a copy of this contract.
Right now my bank account is overdrawn and the $160 that they took was to pay my electric bill.I also was charged an overdraft fee from my bank.
