1st of all they change the due dates at will. Theirs! Their computer makes illegal changes to 1st contract without permission and or consideration! I was charged for several items that were not received! I deleted the account.
Great support. Bad policy. After 30 days you can't get a refund. If an item takes longer than 30 days, or worse yet, you don't get the item at all, Wish.com and Geek.com can keep your money. If the small amount I paid is worth the price of a lifetime customer, I will do business with websites that a more reputable than these two.
*** If you opt to use this site make sure you use PayPal. *** Let's see, the prices look great until you factor the idiotic shipping charges. And THEN the idiocy begins. Delivery estimate dates change. Once you hit the 2 day mark it jumps back a week. Keep repeating that. Tracking information stops updating when the product leaves China. And who knows where it goes from there. 1-2 MONTHS after it supposedly leaves China until you might see it. Asking support what's going on starts with an auto chat system. Shocking it reads you the same month old tracking information that you had to scroll by to get to it... Tell it you want to speak to a human being, and you get an email with the exact same line.
Assuming you do eventually get your product (50/50 odds for me) there's questions of it being of any sort of quality. That of course is IF what you order is what you get. Ordered a smartphone on there. Waited and waited, and waited some more. A very low quality micro USB cable was the only thing in the package. As of right now, I've got 2 more items that are supposedly en-route that haven't been refunded yet. Don't care. Deactivated the account. Just don't care enough to keep fighting with them.
For some reason some packages fail to deliver and some even takes ages. Out of 20 items I ordered I just received 5 items. Some didn't even match the pictures. Of course, your money is refunded in some cases, but you waste a lot of time waiting and waiting. It's not recommend at all. You'd better stay away from this absurd website.
I ordered a cell phone and paid for my purchase. After my payment was made and a day went by I noticed the ad for the item I purchased had changed to another item. Original ad was in English and described a cell phone. The new ad was in Spanish and is for a USB cable. I notified the company and advised what happened, even provided screenshots when I ordered the item and what the company changed their ad. That's illegal! The company has done nothing and even gave me a hard time for a refund. No hassle guarantee is a joke. Never order with them unless you want to be ripped off.
I order a iPad for my son in December 18th for Christmas, we are now in January and still I don`t have any iPad, I call them. No answer. I send an email. In a last answer they told me that the iPad should arrive mid week (this week). NOTHING!!! And they don`t answer anymore... I`m not gonna stop, I am going now on BBB for CompGeeks and Sears. I will put a complaint.
I was lucky enough to be one of the people that was caught by the misleading products descriptions. I ordered 4 hard drives which ended up being rejected by customs in Hong Kong and am still waiting for a refund as customer service is pathetic. Then ordered 5 TB hard drives as per the description on the flash sale only to find out that the products were hard drive cases... How perfect was that to catch someone. (Cases don’t carry memory so why is it part of the description) This I found out after I took the time to read the fine print. I logged a support call to cancel the order but unfortunately for me they were late to reply which means the package was shipped as per the reply.
Strangely I asked for the order to be cancelled before the package was picked up by the courier, yet I got the short stick even though the package was at the first sorting center. Now I have to wait until end January 2018 to receive the package, take a photo and send it back. Explaining all this to the customer service did not help one bit. They answer questions without even reading what you are enquiring. How do you allow sellers to mislead a customer and then pull up your shoulders and tell me that I need to wait almost 3 months for a refund. I really hope that I get the rest of the stuff that I have ordered and everyone was ranting and raving about these apps. I can tell you now that everyone I know is aware of this issue and news spreads like wild fire. I will never use this app again which include Wish, Cute and Home.
Having previously purchased through Geek, I am appalled at the notion of NO Refund for items to which did not arrive. Purchased and paid close to 3 months ago and updates suggested that goods had been sent. Today I contacted support at Geek to advise goods still had not been received and that I wanted a refund only to be told that refunds are not given after 30 days of last update.
It is not the buyer's responsibility to chase goods not received or not sent by Geeks' suppliers. It is your platform. You take the money from customers then you should be refunding as you have taken your commissions based on the sale. This is quite frankly fraud. If a consumer was to take your money I'm sure you would like to be entitled to have it returned. Absolutely disgusting when most items on your site take 30-40 days to be received. Trust me I'll never purchase another item through you again.
I ordered 4 Bluetooths over 2 months ago in beginning of June and it's now August 10/2017 and no one has replied my messages of returning my 85$. They have blatantly ripped me off for 85$. There is no real human to put my complaint to and speak on the phone. I recommend do not deal with this company. They are a bunch of reprobates the way they run this business. Better off ordering online to Amazon who believes in customer satisfaction and treating people with respect.
Avoid shopping when you live in London. I was waiting a couple of weeks, finally I got fed up and when I asked for refund they rejected me by saying that I claim refund too late. Finally I started official claim with PayPal and only because of this I received back my money.
Geeks.com: my advice would be DO NOT buy from them unless you are in the US. They claim they deliver to Australia. I paid with my credit card, then received an email that they are "currently reconsidering their payment policy" they haven't put on their website yet. And that they will only accept a wire transfer ($20 fee + extra days of waiting). When I asked them to stick to the terms on their website, they turned deaf and rude (did not bother to respond back). Unprofessional, unclear in their terms, wasted two days of my life. By the way, the funds they authorized on my credit card (yes, they did not accept my card yet took funds from it) may remain blocked for another 30 days.
I bought a PC from **** and what they sent me was a non-working PC. They requested that I send it back and I did so. Once I had returned it, they said they did not have a suitable replacement so they refunded the cost of the PC. However, they have refused to refund the $64.78 that it cost for me to ship it back to them.
Overpaid for shipping on second day; didn't receive it for five days. No one will refund my money or any portion of it.
Don't count on these people for quality service.
I purchased a refurbished HP computer (HP Compaq dc7600 Pentium 4 3.2GH) for $169.99 on 27 May 2011 via PayPal. I received it in about a week after my purchase. I tried to use it on my existing system (i.e. monitor, keyboard, etc.) but I could not set it up completely. In trying to effectuate the setup, I somehow lost the installed MS Windows Home edition program. I wrote twice to Geeks.com for help. I have not heard a peep from them. They are just ignoring me. I have bought other items over the past 1-2 years with satisfaction; but this is the first time I needed their help after the purchase. They are on my "rogue's list" now and I will not buy from them again. I am taking them off my subscription list. I am out the $169.99 as of now. It makes a good bookend.
I received a Biostar motherboard from them in March of 2010. The motherboard was defective so I returned it at my expense. I got another defective one and returned it. Then I got another one which is defective but this time, I complained and they paid for return shipping. I was able to get a promise of an in-house credit to use on my next purchase but, to this day, the in-house credit does not show up when I try to use it.
I have contacted the company many times by e-mail, and my last few e-mails have gone unanswered.
I purchased a DVR-4GB-PEN - 4GB USB Digital Pocket 640x480 Video Recorder and Ballpoint Pen for $40.99 and paid shipping of $9.00 for a total of $49.99. The item was defective so I had to return it. Since I am from another country, I had to pay $15 USD to return it. When the item was replaced, I had to pay $5 USD to clear it. This item was also defective. Now, I have to pay $15 USD to return it. The company says its policy is not to pay for shipping returns. This is unfair to me since both items were defective. Now, I will end up paying almost double for this item while this company will continue to sell defective items.
The "debranded" computer I bought from Geeks.com was defective. So I returned and paid my own shipping. They told me nothing was wrong and shipped it back. Now, it fails again, so they are willing to pay the shipping for me and reexamine.
The thing I want to point out is not that, however. Their debranded computer seems to be problematic in general (GPU error). I searched online and found HP recall model "slimline 3120n" to be similar. Since the brand on my computer was "Global" (the original manufacturer in China), I think they are trying to dump the defect stock that HP stopped buying. Please tell me if that action is legal or not.
For the last couple of years, I have been ordering things for mostly family members from geeks.com computers, motherboards, memory and almost every time they fail to send all that is included with the purchase like drivers, cables and etc. Sometimes, the product is broken in the package, on three different occasions for me. But this last time, my mother bought me a server motherboard combo kit for my 38th birthday and when I received it, low and behold, the driver disk wasn't there, the IDE cable wasn't there, the SCSI cable wasn't there and one of the CPU heat risers looked like it was stepped on.
Now when you call them, they will give you a RMA no. and a printable label so you can return damaged items at your cost. Yes, I know how generous of them and because the family members I did the repairs for ordered the parts with their credit or debit cards, geeks will only talk to them. Unfortunately they do not know anything about the parts of a computer. So geeks.com will just frustrate you until it's no longer worth the time and effort, it would just be easier to go to the local computer parts store and pay twice the price, which after dealing with geeks.com seems like a bargain.
So this is a friendly warning. Their ad wording is deceptive and their customer services [are bad]. Just think long and hard before you order. Well my mother was heartbroken because she felt like she bought me trash for my birthday and now she’s out $80.00, but hey what the geeks care. They made their sell.
I bought a computer with this company **. On the website, it stated that the system did not come with any operating system. I understood that. When I received the computer, I had a technician installed a brand new operating system. Then a few problems came up. First they debranded the computer and did not want to speak to me about resolving the issues. The tech said on the website, that the system had no driver and it would not work. Now, if I saw that, (which is a lie) I would not have bought this computer. they keep blocking my calls and avoid my complaints. Now I have no computer and no help. My OR number is 340 644. This computer came with no operating system and I'm not able to install any operating system because they debranded the system. So it's useless to work with.
