Att now is a total scam! You may as well go with a different company! They charge you just as much as being in a contract but the customer service is beyond horrible! They want you to chat online but what the purpose of paying so much money if you have to chat online or speak to an off shore representative! My bill increased 3 time without my knowledge! The service rarely works! I want a full refund no exceptions!!!!

We moved to Kingsville, Tx. in August to to have DirecTV transferred from our San Antonio, Tx address and we're told that we must get ATT DirecTV for streaming since cable was not available. Moved back to San Antonio in September and were told to just transfer back services. We did so but were never advised to DROP or DISCONTINUE DirecTV NOW since we didn't need it. DirecTV NOW has been billing us for six (6) months. I called to complain and recover the 6 month charges only to find out that you CANNOT speak to a person but must chat. We were told they could only refund 1 month. My new step will be to fill a complaint with our state's Attorney General.

This service was great for the first year when I signed up. The 2nd (contractual year) has been horrible. Overpaid for Sunday ticket which is the only reason I chose Directv, $50 per month for 6 months. The 2nd month in, I could not access the games. It was 5 minutes before game time and it gave the option to "watch now" so we selected that so that we did not miss the game. I immediately called customer service and explained what happened. By the end of the hour and 1/2 phone call, she assured me everything was back to the way it should have been but couldn't explain why we did not have access to the ticket.

The next bill I received had my regular bill plus an additional $40.99. 1 of 4 payments for another Sunday ticket PLUS another $90 for "one day viewing" of sunday ticket. I called and spent an hour on the phone to get those additional charges removed. I have had to call EVERY month since then to remove the additional sunday ticket charge and have been ASSURED each time that the problem had been resolved only resulting in the same thing the following month. After 4 months of this, I have decided to cancel my service today. It would help if when you called into customer service, you could speak to someone who was not simply reading from a script but was intelligent enough to listen and understand what you are saying. I will find another way to get the football games, it is not worth the hassle and hours out of my life.

Increased prices and charged my card more than the agreed upon amount. Over a one year period the prices had increase three different times. I spent hour trying to talk with someone. They treat customers poorly.

I have been dealing with AT&T now for 7 months. I cancelled my DirecTV effective the end of June. I took my equipment in and paid my final balance on August 21 via that AT&T store and called to verify the balance as paid off. They told me I had a zero balance. NOW they want more money!!! $122.57 to be exact. They tell me it’s from the previous month. So why was it not included in my final bill??? This company is the worst I have ever dealt with. I have written every name and employee number down. I have told them every one. I have documented the hours I have spent on hold!!! How can the company stay in business!!!! I have all the proof I don’t owe them anything. Don’t get AT&T anything and don’t get DirecTV who Is owned by AT&T. I have an antenna and no internet because they are both the only ones I have here. NEVER AGAIN will I buy anything AT&T owned!!

When I paid my final bill, They added another $160.00 to the final bill. Their explanation did not add up nor made sense. Their internet service is crappy and slow. I would not refer my dog to them. Be aware of this company and do your home one them and their unfair practices.

After lengthy conversation 2yrs ago explaining I was unable to put a dish on rental property they came, hammered a pole into corner of yard trying to put a dish on top of it explaining the pole, not the dish, would actually be on property! On phone, agent told me dish had permission to put on telephone pole. At this confrontation in yard an ATT supervisor came over, identified himself and admitted it was ATT practice to lie/whatever it took to make sale. They proceeded to lie more promising 2 Firesticks for their stream over TV service when it finally became clear no dish would be erected today, when after much malarky, finally weeks later they gave me DirecTV Now, I Loved it! But almost immediately my pkg increased more than agreed upon price which after 2yrs Gone from $35.- 63. With 60 ch. plus HBO/SHO grandfathered, excellent right? NO!

Because every 2 mos I was battling $10 hike -tired of this constant battle, even with allegedly in account notes as grandfathered price each and no exaggeration every other month, tried to sneak increases on auto pay, many online fights for agreed prices. I actually argued...I'm 60 on fixed income out 3yr on illness disability so hands tied until Dr. Approves... Had to leave finally and unbeknownst to me, as I assumed the basic channels were basically same all over, they are Not! Consumers BewaAffairsw dealing with NEWS deficiencies as it's not a priority in streaming pkgs. Had I known, I'd paid the 73.00, with its increase so now there's other issues at play for consumers -at least in Salem, Ma 01970 we're stuck with Comcast, no choices for TV, totally unfair to consumers.

Streaming pigs. Providers Do More for news! Not local, that's offered but Why can't consumers pick say 2 other news stations out of 10, pay 5.$ or pick 6 for 30.$ monthly. TV Providers need to work harder to add other news channels. For example CNN has a few programs offered besides news, shows people enjoy so that's a win win station to add into provider pkgs. Cmon, make it work, make it happen for everyone not some!! Consumer Affairs, help us regular folks out, elderly, fixed incomes, working poor, middle class (lightly I add that word) but Families- CHOICES are important, make your own pkgs. Could work for many, and companies make more money and we're happy, what's the problem, come together as Communities #teamwork Negotiate for Us Consumer Affairs, please help.

Price went up earlier this year $5. Now it's going up again for a second time. $10 more this time. The app isn't that great. For the money, NOT worth it anymore. Joining everybody else in canceling my subscription!! Bye bye Direct!

2 price hikes in less than six months. I started at $65 a month and now it's $80. Constant buffering even though the TV and Roku are hard-lined into my router (I have a 1GB brand new fiber line that averages 600-700mpbs down and 500mpbs up). Blackouts because they are holding, and last night was the final straw when every single AT&T TV Now device I have (my living room TV and Roku, every computer, my phones, my bedroom TV, the projector in the basement) all had the same "upgrade to start watching, to start watching this channel now, please upgrade your subscription package" no matter what channel I tried.

Couldn't get a hold of customer service online or on the phone. Total crap and by far the worst TV provider I have used. Only giving them 2 stars based on channel selection. They do provide the channels me and my wife want, but then again they have like 6 different packages to choose from, and I can see to where the average new customer would be confused and off put by so many different package selections. Keep it simple stupid!

Since the change over from DirecTV Now, which was barely adequate, nothing works regularly: channels don't load, videos don't stream, videos stop in the middle, no movies stream on computer or iPad, half the time it doesn't recognize me as a paying customer, your "customer service" sucks, but the spinning wheel of death is getting a lot of time when I try to get your service... You service is HORRIBLE!!!!

I have had DirecTV Now for a while after switching from Sling. For the last couple of months it has been nothing but a headache. I cannot watch a channel without having to change channels and come back to the channel I was watching. Mind me that it looks like it does this when it gets to the good part! Contacted DirecTV Now by email without a response then I call AT&T which they transferred me to DirecTV Now and was told that they were aware of the problem and it should be corrected in a few days. To no avail nothing, I ask for a partial refund and was told that I would get it, nothing. But I did receive an email regarding a refund saying it was due to not being advised of the price height? I did like Sling, but the channels I needed they didn't carry. I wouldn't get DirecTV Now. It's not worth the price and time.

I have had trouble since they started the new format. I have made a complaint through Atlanta Georgia BBB. I've had AT&T IT Department call. While my case was open I never had a problem. As soon as IT close the case the problems started back up getting even worse. Cannot watch an hour-long program without changing channels and then changing them back. AT&T tech support says just get the channels app and use our login to watch our program. If I wanted to do that why would I want DirecTV? Now save your money and get local cable. You will have better service with them than you will with DirecTV now.

I cancelled my service and was told my card info was removed. A couple days later I was still charged. After chatting forever I was told they could only refund half. This company is a total scam preying on people who aren't computer literate. Do not use this company.

I just spent 56 minutes on the phone with DirecTV trying to cancel a service I never ordered but was charged through AT&T (a deal they offered for a new phone, but that I NEVER authorized, never purchased or received, never signed anything). This is my 4th phone call to get them to stop charging me for a service I never ordered and do not want. After being transferred three times, each time I was told I was being transferred to a DirecTV Now specialist ultimately to a supervisor, I was finally told there are no specialists, no human beings one can speak with at DirecTV.

You must go onto the website, log in (but I do not have a log in because I never received any info because I never had an account!). Then you chat with someone and explain your situation. I tried to find their online chat. Maybe I'm just old (ok, I am kinda old) but I could not find a way to chat with anyone. After, not so politely telling the supervisor that I cannot find anything online, he said he would search for a phone number for me. OH, so NOW there is someone I can contact?! Imagine how many people simply give up over the frustration. They are stealing our money and that is exactly what I told the supervisor I would write in my review.

I have signed up for their streaming services (just Right plan for $54.99) since last year even though their streaming services was full of problems and promise that they will fix my DVR issue (does not record new shows, and the deleted old shows keep coming back). As an insult, they have dropped some of my local channels CBS, CW, etc. and they jack up the price to $64.99. The customer service has told me that since I have the grandfathered plan nothing will change and I can keep the same plan at the same price. To my surprise, they jacked up the price by $10 without notifying me and never honored the grandfathered plans as promised. Is that how business now should be? You can't trust anyone anymore not even a big company like DirecTV Now (AT&T)? I decided to cancel my plan right away and I will take my business somewhere else.

I signed a 7 day trial but was charged as soon as I signed up. Directv Now did not work so within an hour I cancelled. I was told I would be refunded. I have contacted them 3 times and was told I would not be refunded, I was lied to 3 times. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. I’m putting in a complaint through the Better Business Bureau.

I did not have this service for a complete 30 minutes before wanting to cancel, and they refuse to give me a refund or any kind of credit. I signed up for DIRECTV NOW, which is the streaming service, with the sole purpose that they were one of the few to have the YES network. I used a coupon code for 15% off. As soon as I logged in, I saw that the Yankees game was not airing, so I contacted support and they informed me that there was a blackout in my area for that channel. As soon as they told me that, I said I understand there will be blackouts, but it did not make sense for me to keep the service, since I was going to get blackouts anyway. The agent reluctantly cancelled, but did not tell me that I was going to be billed nor that I would have it until the following billing day.

I contacted CHAT 3 SEPARATE TIMES, and asked for supervisor. One agent first said he could get me a manager but then changed his mind and said since I had signed up myself, that there was nothing a manager can do. One agent offered me a $5 credit for the following month, and failed to acknowledge that I did not wish to continue the service, and had not even used it. NOWHERE ON THEIR SIGN UP PAGE DOES IT SAY "SUBJECT TO BLACKOUTS" and for someone who is not aware of that term, they would blindly sign up not knowing. The website also seems to pride itself on the CANCEL ANYTIME feature. Their NO REFUND policy is ridiculous, and their agents all use the same line "I UNDERSTAND". I had to ask the same question 4 times in order to get a link to lead me to the answer. I will never deal with DIRECTV AGAIN. I should have remembered their lousy Dish service years ago.

We have had a rainy season, my TV goes out during wind, rain and unknown reasons. I was told by the salesman that I would receive all the channels, I had on Uverse, a lie - 50% of channels were with additional charge of $7.99 each. If you considering purchasing, you will be very disappointed. For some reason channel 3 NBC AND KMTW are not available anymore. Just disgraceful. I have 2 yr left with with this crap. The TV guide disappeared for 4 day. I was told that if I didn’t take out service call plan for $8.99 the service call would be $99. Just one more irritant!!!

Was not honest, is not what we expected, should have asked more questions. Most channels we love we don't get, sure it is lower then Dish, but Dish is much better. Now if we want those channels we love we need subscribe to more channels so we gain nothing by going lower, plus satellite is on my roof because that is best place they said, I was more home and my husband d gave permission for them to do that I was against because how can a roof be replace. Very unhappy, 2 years we're switching. I highly do not recommend DirecTV.

After regular DirecTV added $65 in fees to our long-time package we switched to DirecTV Now. Forget these people. Use another streaming service. There is no useful tech support. There are some things you need in-person help with. AT&T will not help. There's no "Geek Squad" to the rescue. Customer service has fallen off a cliff. Since I'm getting zero support, I'm dropping their service. Can I give them -2 stars? Disappointing.

I’ve had DirecTV services for many years now. A year ago my husband passed away. His name was the one on the account. In this past year I’ve contacted DirecTV for several issues, changes and services. Every time I call I get the same reply, "we cannot help you since your name is not on the account". I struggle with this provider every time I call, having to relive the pain of explaining my husband has died and I need to make changes. Always the same answer, “sorry for your loss but that’s our policy”. I’ve decided to stop paying this bill since I’m not a recognized customer. I will have DirecTV forward all future statements to my husband at his place of rest. Their customer service is the absolute worst!

Been a customer for over a year, streaming service frequently unavailable. Company eliminated offering my plan to new subscribers but charged another $10/mo for me to keep it. Now have frequent interruptions in streaming where advertising should be. New plans offer fewer channels for much more money. Canceled subscription but they are still going to charge for another month even though cancel was before the new billing date. Customer service is abysmal. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS SERVICE AS IT IS NOW.

I haven't had a problem since September 2018. I changed my phone service from AT&T today, because I wasn't receiving phone calls or voicemails. My DirecTV Now service dramatically declined after I switched phone service today. I've never had a problem and today it took 30+ minutes to turn on. This is while I'm paying about $60/month for service. My internet service has not changed and is not down. Really disappointing service!

So I simply wanted to change our cable service from Spectrum to AT&T's DIRECT NOW (DIRECTV NOW). And I contacted AT&T to do this on a live chat. The first man to speak with me, very helpful, understanding, spent 20 minutes with me explaining everything and how much the cost would be, and said all I had to do was call Spectrum, cancel my cable service with them, and then call him back. Well, when I called him back, I got a person, I'm gonna say, from India that called himself Steve, who was so rude, and obviously, a lying, thieving employee that wanted to take away the commission from the first man that I talked to, who I said, "I want him to have my commission. He was very nice with me. He spent time with me." And he said, "Oh! It's fine! Just give me your information. We share our commissions." And I said, "People live off of their commissions. I know that." He said, "Well, he's busy on the phone." I said I'd wait. And he said, "Well now, he's talking to our supervisor. And now, he's talking to another customer, he's back on the phone," and blocked me from trying to talk to the first man, along with giving me deals, like, "I'll give you a $20 off of the first three months of showtime." And I just was adamant that, "No, I wanted to give the commission to the person that had actually helped me." So I said, "I'd like to speak with a supervisor." Seven minutes past, and then a man that I'm sure was also fake Steve came on with a name that was just a bunch of digits and letters and said exactly the same thing that fake Steve had said. You know, "Oh, we share commissions. He won't mind. Blah blah blah." And I finally ended up saying, "Well enjoy your great review, Steve." Because I knew I was going to do this review. It is the first review I've ever done - a video review. But AT&T, our store in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin - excellent, pleasant, helpful, will spend all the time that you need to explain things to you. It's just that when you call that store, you're directed to the same Steve, the answering service, and you'll get exactly the same go-around as I did on the live chat. So beware. Take care. Thank you.

I had DirecTV Now since last Aug. 2018, had so much trouble on glitches and hanging up for hours on their guide. I cancelled service Feb 23rd, and billing date run from the 25th of the month to the 25th. You always had to pay in advance the month before. After disconnect on the 23rd of Feb 2019, I had auto pay and of course they pulled the money out for March. I spent 5 hours on phone to try and resolve this. DirecTV Now has no phone numbers, live chat, so when I go to Directvnow.com, I find a place at bottom of page, says contact us, click on it, several choices come up, click on billing, it says must list account and password to live chat. I put in my old password and user ID. Message comes up, not recognized, user ID and password disconnected.

After 5 hours and 12 different people, I got what was suppose to be DirecTV Now billing. Rep I was talking with said she couldn't help me, even though she found old account, passed me to her supervisor, he said, "Yes I see the charges but I can't remove them," passed me off to a rep. She said she didn't know why I called her. She had no way to fix problem. I advised her a supervisor in billing had transferred me to her to research it. She said, "I ain't researching nothing," and hung up. Not only does their streaming service have problems, try to find a phone number with DirecTV Now, their service is filled with glitches and their billing dept is a cluster.

Have had DirecTV now for a few months. The first 3 weeks, nothing but trouble. Had to call every day, change password, and sign in again. Finally got rid of that trouble, then started getting channels saying "taking time to load, check your connection". I have 75 mb on fiber to the house, but I would shut everything down, computers phones, alarm system and leave just one tv on. Would still say same thing, check your connection. I would try Sling, Netflix, HULU, Roku, all would work without any problem.

I still on occasion, get message saying "taking to long to load" you may want to watch a different channel, but a new problem has cropped up in past 2 weeks. The guide is loading wrong program for channels, you may look at the History channel guide. It will show a football game or a movie. You can click guide 2 or 3 times either up or down, then back to guide on History and it will have the right program listed. If you click down thru the guide at a moderate rate, you will see the same program at about every 5th channel. You can stop on it, saying ESPN, and it will be on the weather channel.

It's slowly getting more and more problems, I have had it since last SEPT. You never know if you are going to get to finish the program or movie you are watching. I was watching the Saints versus Rams playoff game, and when it went into overtime. About 2 minutes into the overtime, a little circle started spinning, message came up, saying, having trouble loading channel, be patient, missed 2 or 3 minutes of game. It finally came back on about 30 seconds before the Rams checked the winning program. My wife and I was watching a 2 hour movie last week, with about 10 minutes left, the channel went out and a little circle spinning said trying to load be patient, never came back on, then a message said may want to watch another channel, cannot load now. This was a murder mystery, and we still haven't found the movie to know who the killer was, So let's put it simple DIRECTV NOW SUCKS.

DirecTV now comes with HBO Go which is good; AT&T originally misstated how NFL Sunday Ticket was associated with this product - you have to be in a rural area to subscribe to NST (which in the end I did not).

DirecTV now seems to have buffering issues. I either have to restart the wireless router and/or restart the device. I do not like that they now require location services to be on in the app. Also, there appears to be no software release plans as many times their updates are buggy and the app doesn't work.

Newest version of DIRECTV NOW app and NEWEST Fire Stick w/ Alexa not able to connect 90% of time, too much buffering with 50-meg download speed from AT&T, tech support worthless! On Demand libraries are old, missing, episodes/seasons and they can’t fix these issues on their newest platform and blame the once a week download from networks sources as why On Demand libraries are totally messed up. My Apple iPhone 10 seems to have no CONNECTION ISSUES, but DIRECTV NOW will lie to your face and tell you that the newest Amazon Fire Sticks w/ Alexa are great. There are NO INSTRUCTIONS for the cloud DVR. Luckily sometimes I find a recorded show or two. The HBO for $5 is a $5 option - only HBO East, Family and Spanish. The best technically working streaming services with the same Fire Sticks w/ Alexa is Netflix, Hulu, Sling, DirecTV Now, Hulu live TV.

The best package for your dollar, if they all streamed equally, but they don’t, would be DirecTV Now for networks, sports, family, news. HULU live TV is a very close 2nd to DirecTV Now but tied with Sling Blue & Orange for value but asking leans towards SPORTS and old movies, Hulu is newer movies and less sports, but Hulu is making a big push to cover more sports. If sports, popular networks and old Westerns, Hallmark types aren’t for you, then NETFLIX AND HULU are very good choices and less expensive and they have the best streaming platform or apps, even with the newest Amazon Fire Sticks.

You can get cable tv cheaper by just getting it on your phone or tablet. I have unlimited AT&T data plan and they gave me a permanent $15 per month discount off the service. It's very affordable. I love being able to watch the news anywhere I am at. Data FREE streaming. Unlimited watching of my channels and movies.
