Springfield Smoked Fish of Springfield, Mass., is recalling Prescliced Nova Salmon that may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes.
No illnesses have been reported to date in connection with this problem.
The recalled packages were distributed to customers in Rhode Island and Connecticut through retail stores.
The recalled product, which comes comes in a 1-lb., clear plastic package marked with lot # 42173 on the back, an expiration date of 12/22/17 and the UPC 811907018018, was sold in retail stores in Rhode Island and Connecticut.
Production has been suspended pending the outcome of an FDA investigation.
What to do
Customers who purchased the recalled product should return it to the place of purchase for a full refund.
