Santa Fe Importers of Long Beach, Calif., is recalling approximately 143 pounds of pork salami that may be contaminated with extraneous materials -- specifically metal shavings.
There are no confirmed reports of adverse reactions due to consumption of these products.
The following item, produced on Aug. 3, 2017, is being recalled:
- 3.5 to 4.0-lbs. random weight of plastic wrapped packages of “MARISA PREMIUM QUALITY GENOA SALAMI ITALIAN BRAND,” with a packaging date of Sept. 14, 2017 and a lot code of 257-100161 in the upper right hand corner.
The recalled product, bearing establishment number “EST. 4118” inside the USDA mark of inspection, was shipped to retail locations in California.
What to do
Customers who purchased the recalled product should not consume it, but throw it away or return it to the place of purchase.
