Public health alert issued for chicken noodle soup

The Agriculture Department ’s Food Safety and Inspection Service is issuing a public health alert for 34,200 pounds of ready-to-eat chicken noodle soup produced by RCK Foods of Kenosha, Wis.

The product contains egg, an allergen not declared on the label.

A recall was not requested because it is believed that the product is no longer available for purchase.

There are no confirmed reports of adverse reactions.

The following item, produced on March 11, 2020, is subject to the public health alert:

  • 15-oz. plastic cups containing “Fresh FOODS MARKET CLASSIC CHICKEN NOODLE SOUP” with a best by date 6/9/2020 and lot code 425798031120.

The product, bearing establishment number “P-33997” inside the USDA mark of inspection, was sold by Kroger stores nationwide.

What to do

Customers who purchased these affected product should discard or return it to the place of purchase.
