Are you in the market for a new smartphone but can’t imagine paying hundreds of dollars for the newest piece of tech? If so, you may be in luck. Verizon Wireless has a few offers on smartphones that should knock down prices and make things more affordable.
The first big deal involves a flat 20% discount on any phone’s normal price – and yes, that wasn’t a typo. Consumers can pick up any of the latest phones at the reduced price, including the new Google Pixel, Google Pixel XL, Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge, iPhone 7 Plus, or any other device. However, there are a few stipulations.
In order to take advantage of the discount, consumers will need to visit Verizon Wireless and pay for the phone of their choice AND a payment plan. After that’s done, continue to checkout and enter the code “SAVE20” into the designated area. This will automatically knock 20% off the price, which can add up to a lot.
For example, the new 32 GB Google Pixel phone is currently priced at $650. With the discount, consumers can pay $520, saving $130. The deal can be sweetened even further with a currently running trade-in offer on both the Pixel and Pixel XL.
New customers who want to buy either phone from Verizon Wireless and trade in their current device can save an additional $400 – or $300 for current customers. That will knock the price of the 32 GB model all the way down to $120, which is a pretty big steal. Combining the offers on the Pixel XL will knock the price down to $216.
A report from Droid Life suggests that this deal may not work if you’re buying a phone using a corporate or employer discount. However, there is one additional code that consumers can punch in to save some money; entering in the code “SMART100” will also allow consumers to save $100 on any smartphone bought with a payment plan.
