Marin Mountain Bikes of Petaluma, Calif., is recalling about 3,000 mountain bicycles sold in the U.S. and Canada.

The bottom bracket can break during use, causing the user to lose control, posing fall and crash hazards.

The firm has received nine reports of broken bottom brackets. No injuries have been reported.

This recall involves the following 20 different Model Year 2021 Marin Mountain bicycles: San Quentin 1, San Quentin 20”, San Quentin 24”, Wildcat Trail 1, Wildcat Trail 3, Fairfax 1, Fairfax 2, Terra Linda 1, Terra Linda 2, Presidio 3, Kentfield 2, Kentfield 2 ST, Larkspur 1, Muirwoods RC, San Anselmo DS1, San Anselmo DS2, San Rafael DS1, San Rafael DS2, Hidden Canyon 20” and Bayview Trail 24”.

These bicycles were sold in various sizes and color schemes. The model name is printed on the top tube and a “MARIN” decal is on the down tube of the frame.

The bikes, manufactured in Indonesia, were sold at Bike Connection Palo Alto, City Grounds, and The Bike Rack stores and independent bicycle dealers nationwide from August 2020, through April 2021, for between $400 and $1,100.

Rossignol USA of Park City, Utah, is recalling about 174 Rossignol model year 2018 and 2019 All Track DH Bicycles sold in the U.S and Canada.

Cracks can form at the head tube area of the bicycle, where the fork connects to the bicycle. This can cause the frame to fail and allow the fork and front wheel to separate unexpectedly from the rest of the bicycle, posing a fall hazard.

No incidents or injuries are reported.

This recall includes Rossignol 2018 and 2019 model year All Track DH bicycles produced in Matte Black (2018) and Chartreuse green (2019).

The bicycle model name “All Track DH” is printed on the frame’s top tube.

The bikes, manufactured in Taiwan, were sold at Rossignol dealers/rental resorts nationwide from March 2018, through October 2020, for about $3,800.

Academy Sports + Outdoors of Katy, Texas, is recalling about 3,860 Ozone 500 Girls’ and Boys’ Elevate 24-Inch bicycles.

The rear shock spring on the bikes can become stuck, creating a pinch point between the spring and the seat, posing a risk of injury, or causing the bicycles to stop unexpectedly, posing a fall hazard to the rider.

The firm has received one report of a person injuring his hand under the seat when the rear shock spring compressed.

This recall involves the Ozone 500 Girls’ and Boys’ Elevate 24-Inch bicycles with “Ozone 500” printed on the frame.

The girls’ bicycle frame is fuchsia with black script and the boys’ bicycle frame is black with red script.

The style numbers -- 164538 for the girls' model and 164540 for the boys' -- may be found on the seat tube.

Trek Bicycle Corporation of Waterloo, Wis., is recalling about 345,000 sets of Bontrager Satellite City Bicycle Pedals in the U.S. and Canada.

If the pedals are incorrectly installed by the retailer during assembly, they can fall off the crank arm of the bicycle, posing fall and injury hazards to the rider.

The firm has received 132 reports of the recalled pedals loosening, locking up or falling off, including seven reports of riders falling and experiencing injuries, including scrapes, bruises and road rash.

This recall involves Bontrager Satellite City Pedals, which were installed as original equipment on Trek “Allant+,” “Dual Sport+,” “FX 2,” “FX 3,” “Verve 2,” “Verve 3,” and “Verve+” model bicycles.

“ZTR02” is stamped on the bicycle’s pedal and on the pedals that were sold separately as a replacement part.

The pedals have orange reflectors on the outside edges.

The pedals, manufactured in China, were sold at Trek Bicycle stores and other bicycle stores nationwide, and online at trekbikes.com from January 2018, through April 2021, for between $600 and $6,000. The pedals were also sold separately for about $30.

Due to a software malfunction, the electric system can continue to provide assistance to the motor, causing continued forward momentum when the rider is not actively pedaling, posing fall and injury hazards.

The firm has received one report of a bicycle providing continued assistance when the rider had stopped pedaling. No injuries have been reported.

This recall involves Brompton Electric Folding Bicycles with a three-section folding frame, 16-inch wheels sold in black, white, Turkish green & bolt lacquer.

The aluminum frame pieces could have experienced thermal damage during a non-standard paint stripping operation and can bend or buckle, posing a fall hazard.

The firm has received four reports of the recalled aluminum frame bicycle pieces bending or buckling. No injuries have been reported.

This recall involves the model year 2020 aluminum frames on Santa Cruz models Nomad 4a Aluminum, Bronson 3a Aluminum and the 5010 3a Aluminum and Juliana models Roubion 3a Aluminum and Furtado 3a Aluminum.

The Nomad 4a Aluminum is black or eggplant (purple) color; the Bronson 3a Aluminum is red tide or olive color, and the 5010 3a Aluminum is dark gray and robins egg (light blue).

The Roubion 3a Aluminum is maritime gray and the Furtado 3a Aluminum is fog (light gray).

The name “Santa Cruz” or “Juliana” appears on the downtube of the bicycle frame. The model names appear in different locations on the front and rear triangles, depending on the model.

Only frames without six small indents above the first letter of the serial number are included in this recall. The serial number is located on the bottom bracket shell.

The company has received 18 reports of the “Y” handlebars breaking with one injury when a child fell resulting in a bloody nose.

This recall involves Morfboard Skate & Scoot Combo scooters with “Y” handlebars.

The skateboard system has interchangeable parts that convert into a scooter by inserting the ‘Y” handlebar into the base board.

The scooters were sold in a variety of colors, including cyan (blue), chartreuse (yellow), lava (red) and mint (green).

An 8-character alphanumeric manufacturing date code is located on the bottom side of each skate deck that is sold as part of the Skate & Scoot Combo.

Peloton Interactive of New York, N.Y., is recalling about 54,000 PR70P Clip-In Pedals fitted on Peloton bikes.

The pedals can break during use, causing laceration injuries.

The firm has received 120 consumer reports of pedal breakages, including 16 reports of leg injuries. Five of the injuries required medical care, such as stitches to the lower leg.

The PR70P or first-generation pedal fitted on Peloton bikes were sold between July 2013 and May 2016.

The Peloton logo and the word "PELOTON" are molded into the pedal body. An orange Peloton symbol and white lettering spelling "PELOTON" are printed on the top of the cleat binding.

Pedals are warranted for one year and all remaining PR70P Clip-In pedals in service are out of warranty. Peloton recommends that consumers replace pedals annually.

The pedals, manufactured in Taiwan, were sold online at www.onepeloton.com, through Peloton telephone sales, or through Peloton showrooms nationwide from July 2013, through May 2016. The PR70P pedals were fitted on Peloton bikes that sold for about $2,000.

Specialized Bicycle Components of Morgan Hill, Calif., is recalling about 38,200 Sirrus, Sirrus X and Sirrus Sport bicycles with alloy cranks sold in the U.S. and Canada.

The crank arm can disengage and cause the rider to lose control, posing fall and injury hazards.

The firm has received 56 reports of crank arm disengaging, including seven reports of injuries. One injury involved a torn bicep tendon and the other six were minor injuries, such as road rash.

This recall involves the 2019-2020 model year Sirrus, Sirrus X and Sirrus Sport bicycles sold in 27 different colors.

An improperly manufactured electrical cable can cause the bicycle to accelerate unexpectedly, posing a fall hazard to the user.

The firm has received five reports of the bike’s electrical cable malfunctioning, causing the bike to unexpectedly accelerate. No injuries have been reported.

This recall involves six models of Pedego electric bikes. Models include the Interceptor (Including Platinum Edition), City Commuter (Including Mid Drive Edition and Black Edition), Boomerang Plus, Ridge Rider, Trail Tracker (Including Gorilla Edition) and Stretch (Including Dual Drive Edition).

The model name is printed on the chain guard or chain stay of the bike. The bikes were sold in various colors. Pedego is printed on the bike frame.

The front racks can detach and cause the front wheel to stop abruptly, posing a fall hazard.

The firm has received two reports of of the tray detaching and contacting the bicycle wheel -- one resulting in a fall involving minor cuts and bruises, and the other involving both bruising and a concussion.

This recall involves the front rack with a bamboo tray for Cycling Sports Group Cannondale Treadwell bicycles. The rack has a black metal frame and a bamboo tray.

“ISO11243:2016 YUENI MAX 10KG” is printed on the bamboo tray.

The racks, manufactured in Taiwan, were sold at authorized Cannondale dealers nationwide from April 2019, through June 2020, for between $950 to $2,750 for the bicycles sold with the front racks, and $100 for the racks sold separately.

The front racks were included as original equipment on some bicycles. On other bicycles, they were sold separately as ad-on equipment.

The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) is urging consumers to stop using about 8,500 Morpher flat-folding bicycle helmets and dispose of them to prevent further usage.

The helmets do not comply with the federal safety standard for bicycle helmets, posing a risk of head injury.

Morpher is no longer in business and is unable to conduct a recall. No incidents or injuries are reported.

This action involves Morpher flat-folding bicycle helmets sold in one size, fitting head circumference from 20.5 to 22.8 inches. The helmets were sold with a storage bag and in the following solid or dotted colors: Gloss or matte black, gray, red, silver, white and yellow.

The Morpher name and logo appear on both sides of the helmet. The Morpher logo appears on the back of the helmet.

The helmets, manufactured in Hong Kong, were sold online at Amazon.com, CyclingSafetyGear.com and MorpherHelmet.com from April 2017 through November 2019 for about $150.

The helmets do not meet the federal safety standard, posing a risk of head injury.

This recall involves woom bikes USA children’s helmets sold in blue, green, purple, red and yellow and in size S (for small size).

woom is printed on both sides of the helmets and the size “S” appears on the back of the helmet. Only the small-sized helmets are included in this recall.

The helmets, manufactured in China, were sold online at us.woombikes.com and Amazon.com, and through BikeShopGirl in Colorado and The Family Bike Collective in California from December 2018, through July 2019, for about $70.

All helmets have the manufacturing date printed inside the helmet with 2019 as the production year and a number between 9 and 12 as the production month. The model name is printed on a label on the rear back side of the helmet.

This recall involves Öhlins branded RXF36 Air and RXF34 Air suspension forks sold as aftermarket equipment and as original equipment on some Specialized-branded Enduro, Stumpjumper, Fuse, and Levo mountain bicycles. A bicycle fork is the part that holds the front wheel.

The recalled forks are black with “ÖHLINS” written in gold on each of the fork lowers. They have “RXF36” or “RXF34” printed across the fork arch.

RXF36 Coil Forks (no air valve on the right-side top cap and “TTX” and “Coil” written on the back of the left fork lowers) are not included in this recall.

An open quick release lever on the bicycle’s front wheel hub can come into contact with the front disc brake assembly, causing the front wheel to come to a sudden stop or separate from the bicycle, posing a risk of injury to the rider.

No incidents or injuries are reported.

This recall involves all 2003 through 2016 models of Rocky Mountain bicycles equipped with front disc brakes and a black or silver quick-release (QR) lever on the front wheel hub. Bicycles that do not have disc brakes are not included in this recall.

When the front QR is fully opened, if there is less than 6 mm -- or the width of a #2 pencil -- between the QR and disk brake rotor on the wheel, the bicycle is included in this recall.

SCOTT USA of Salt Lake City, Utah, is recalling about 1,600 SCOTT bicycles with SYNCROS seat posts in the U.S. and Canada.

The seat post can break, posing a fall hazard to the rider.

The firm has received 11 reports of broken seat posts outside of the U.S. No injuries have been reported.

This recall involves model year 2016 SCOTT men’s and women’s road bicycles with SYNCROS FL 0.1 seat posts. Bicycle models included in the recall are: Addict CX 10 disc, Addict SL, Addict Team Issue, Addict 10, Addict 15, Addict 20, Addict Gravel disc, Solace Premium disc, Solace 10 disc, Frame set Addict 10 (HMF), Frame set Addict CX 10 disc (HMX) mech / Di2 and Seatpost Syncros FL1.0 Carbon Offset 27.2mm. “SCOTT” is printed on the bicycle down tube and “SYNCROS” is printed on the seat post.

The bicycles were sold in black, grey and white with yellow, orange, green or blue decals. The serial number is printed on a white sticker and embossed on the underside of the bicycle frame near the pedals.

Stile Products of Lakewood, Calif., is expanding its earlier recall of Tern folding bicycles to 220. About 175 were recalled in June 2013.

The bike’s frame can crack at the hinge on the top tube, posing a fall hazard.

The company has received four reports of incidents of the frame hinge cracking, resulting in minor scrapes, bruises and one sprained shoulder.

This recall involves Eclipse S11i and Verge S11i, X10, X20 and X30h models of Tern brand folding bikes. The 24-inch wheel Eclipse model was sold in a silver/black color combination. The 20-inch wheel Verge models were sold in silver/black, orange/white, red/black and yellow/grey color combinations.

“Tern” is printed on the front end of the top tube and on portion of the frame. The model name is printed on the middle of the top tube. The frame has a 10-character alphanumeric serial number that begins with AM1A or from AM1102 through AM1208. The serial number is stamped on the bottom bracket shell of the bike.

The bicycles, manufactured in Taiwan, were sold authorized Stile/Tern dealers nationwide from January 2012, to April 2016, for between $1,800 and $3,000.

Mindware Corp., of Omaha, Neb., Northwest Synergy, of Redmond, Wash. and Wal-Mart Stores, of Bentonville, Ark., are recalling about 29,268 Chillafish children's bikes in the U.S. and Canada

Overinflated tires can cause the wheel rims to crack and send pieces of the plastic rim flying, posing a laceration hazard to consumers.

Chillafish has received 19 reports of plastic separating from the rims, including two reports of consumers being cut by flying plastic when pieces of the plastic rim were expelled.

This recall includes all Chillafish BMXie, Chillafish Jack and Chillafish Josie balance bikes, which are designed for children ages 2 to 5 and have no pedals and or chains. The bikes are made of plastic, are about 31.5 inches long with a seat that can be adjusted from about 12.5 inches high to about 15.5 inches high and have a detachable foot support. BMXie bikes were sold in the colors blue, lime green, pink, red and yellow. Item reference number CPMX01BLU, CPMX01LIM, CPMX01PIN, CPMX01RED or CPMX01YEL is on a label on the bottom of the bike frame.

Jack and Josie bikes have steel frames. The bikes are about 34 inches long with a seat that can be adjusted from about 14 inches high to about 17 inches high.

Jack bikes were sold in a black and orange color scheme with flames on the crosstube and item reference number CPJJ02BLA on a label on the bottom of the bike frame.

Josie bikes were sold in a white and pink color scheme with flowers on the crosstube and item reference number CPJJ02WHI on a label on the bottom of the bike frame.

The bikes, manufactured in China, were sold at Sam’s Club stores nationwide and online at Amazon .com, Target.com and ToysRUs.com from November 2013, through November 2015, for between $55 and $80.

The bicycle’s front wheel can detach due to improperly fitting retention washers, posing a fall hazard to the rider, thus failing to meet the federal bicycle standard.

The firm has received one report of an incident. No injuries have been reported.

This recall involves Stolen series BMX bicycles, including Stolen Agent 16CB and 16FW, Stolen Compact, Stolen Casino and Stolen Stereo models. “Stolen” and the model name are printed on the frame of the bicycles.

The Agent 16-inch bikes were sold in dark blue, the Compact 20-inch bikes were sold in neon orange and satin white, the Casino 20-inch bikes were sold in phosphate raw (gray), highlight yellow and electric red, and the Stereo 20-inch bikes were sold in satin black and electric green.

This recall involves all model year 2015 Felt Double Double 30, NINEe 20 and Edict 1 mountain bicycles. The bicycles were sold with carbon fiber seat posts.

The model name is printed on the top tube of the bicycles. The Felt logo is on the down tube of the Double Double 30 and the NINEe20, and on the top tube of the Edict 1.

The Double Double 30 was sold in the color blue. The NINEe 20 was sold in a gray and orange color scheme. The Edict 1 was sold in a black and blue color scheme.

The bicycles, manufactured in Taiwan, were sold at bicycle specialty stores nationwide from August 2014, through September 2015, for between $2,000 and $5,500.

Quality Bicycle Products (QBP) of Bloomington, Minn., is recalling about 110 WeThePeople Envy BMX bicycles and about 210 Eclat Aeon cranksets in the U.S. and Canada.

The left end of the bicycle crankset spindle can break, posing a fall hazard to the rider.

The company has received five reports of the crankset spindles breaking. No injuries have been reported.

The recall involves WeThePeople Envy BMX bicycles and aftermarket ECLAT Aeon BMX cranksets.

The Envy BMX bicycles have a 20.6 or 21 inch chromoly frame, painted dark gold. The bicycle bottom bracket has an “ENVY20.6” or “ENVY21” stamp.

The ECLAT Aeon BMX cranksets are the gears at the front of the bicycle chain with pedals attached to the outer ends. The cranksets have a steel, two-piece construction.

Printed on the left side of the spindle is ESS Eclat 22mm” and next to the pedal, on the crank arm is “Aeon.” Printed on the inside of the crank arm is “Eclat Germany” followed by the crank arm length “170mm” or “175mm.”

An open quick release lever on the bicycle’s front wheel hub can come into contact with the front disc brake rotor causing the front wheel to come to a sudden stop or separate from the bicycle, posing a risk of injury to the rider.

There have been three incidents reported in which an open quick release lever on a bicycle’s front wheel hub came into contact with the bike's front disc brake assembly and caused the front wheel to come to a sudden stop or separate from the bicycle. In one incident, a man suffered a broken finger, a wrist injury, a shoulder injury and abrasions. No injuries were reported in the other two incidents.

This recall involves bicycles equipped with front disc brakes and a black or silver quick-release (QR) lever on the front wheel hub. Bicycles that do not have disc brakes are not included. When the front QR is fully opened, if there is less than 6 mm -- or the width of a #2 pencil -- between the QR and disk brake rotor on the wheel, the bicycle is included in this recall.

Wishbone Design Studio Limited of Yardville, N.J., is recalling about 5,000 Recycled Edition Bikes.

The handlebar can pinch fingers placed at the center where the handlebar connects to the bike frame.

The firm received reports of four incidents, including two injuries. One required stitches and one required restorative surgery.

The Wishbone Recycled (RE) Bikes are made from recycled black plastic materials with 12-inch, air-filled white rubber tires. The adjustable seat height ranges from nine to 20 inches. The bikes weigh about ten pounds. The two recalled bikes include one three-in-one model, which is adjustable as a three-wheeler or two-wheeler with a high seat or low seat; and one two-wheeler model, which is adjustable with a high or low seat.

The date codes for production appear in a round dial on the front frame of the bikes under the seat. Date codes are either December 2013, or May 2014. The year appears in the center of the dial and the arrow points to the month. There is also a Wishbone logo embossed on each bike fork.

The bikes, manufactured in China, were sold at independent toy and bike stores nationwide and online at www.amazon.com from July 2014, through June 2015, for about $200 for the two-wheeler and $230 for the three-in-one.

The front fork can separate from the wheel, posing fall and crash hazards to riders.

The firm has received 22 reports of the front forks separating from the wheel, including 11 reports of minor injuries.

This recall involves Baja Motorsports gas-powered mini bikes manufactured during November 2014 and December 2014. The recalled mini bikes have a black frame with a black padded seat, a storage tank and fenders that are camouflage, side reflectors, a headlight and a tail light. A decal with model number “Baja Warrior 200” inside a circle with wings attached is on both sides of the storage tank. The date of manufacture is printed on the bottom right of the Vehicle Emissions Control Information label in the MM/YY format. The label is attached to the front side of the engine.

The mini bikes, manufactured in China, were sold exclusively at Tractor Supply Company stores from February 2015, through August 2015, for about $650.

The OPI stem/steering tube assemblies can fail, posing a risk of injury from a fall.

This recall involves all model year 2011 through 2015 Flash, FSi , F-4, F-5, F-29, Lexi, RZ, Scalpel and Trigger Cannondale mountain bicycles, with OPI stem/steering tube assemblies. “OPI” is printed diagonally across the stem/steering tube in black letters.

The bicycles, manufactured in Taiwan, were sold at authorized Cannondale dealers nationwide from July 2010, to July 2015, for between $2,000 and $10,000.

The recalled products are all model year 2014 Huffy TR 745 and TR-S 740 bicycles with 27.5-inch wheels. “Huffy” is on the downtube of the frame of both bicycles and model name TR 745 or TR-S 740 is on the rear portion of the frame.

The TR 745 has a green frame with model number 26504M on the bottom of the frame near the pedals. The TR-S 740 has a white frame and model number 26604M on the bottom of the frame near the pedals.

Bicycles that have a green dot on the inside of the quick release lever are not included in this recall.

This recall involves model year 2015 Trek 9.8 Superfly FS SL, X1 and XT bicycles equipped with Bontrager Approved Carbon seatposts. Recalled bicycles have a serial number ending in J or K. The serial number is located on the bottom of the bicycle frame. Superfly FS, X1 or XT is printed on the bicycle’s top tube. Trek is printed on the frame downtube. “Bontrager Carbon” is printed on the seatpost.

The bicycle pedal can separate from the spindle (axle) during use and cause the rider to lose control, posing a crash hazard.

The firm has received 12 reports of pedals separating from the spindle. No injuries have been reported.

This recall involves Breezer Bicycles models Downtown 3, Downtown 3-ST, Downtown 8, Downtown 8-ST, Downtown EX and Downtown EX-ST. The main frame is made of steel and has either a single or dual water bottle mount, and the wheel sets are aluminum.

The bicycles come in eight different sizes and a variety of gloss colors, including candy apple, chartreuse, chocolate, dark blue, dark green, shale and slate. The model is printed on the top tube of the bicycle.

There have been 10 reports of the pedal extenders breaking, including 2 reports of minor injuries, involving scrapes and bruises.

This recall involves Specialized Body Geometry Pedal Axle Extenders that are used to extend the outward reach of the pedals. They are sold in pairs and mount directly into the bicycle crank arms. Pedal extenders are made of stainless steel and fit a 9/16 inch pedal thread. They are labeled with an “L” and an “R.”

The extenders, manufactured in Taiwan, were sold at authorized Specialized retailers and online at www.specialized.com from January 2009, to June 2015, for about $40.

The bolt that attaches the upper part of the bicycle’s fork to the lower part of the fork can break or separate and cause the front wheel to come off the bicycle, posing a crash hazard.

There have been 15 reports of the bolts breaking or separating from the bicycles, including 2 reports of minor injuries, including abrasions, cuts and bruises.

This recall involves Cannondale, Diamondback, Giant, GT, INA International, Schwinn, Scott and Trek brand bicycles with SR Suntour bicycle forks models M3010, M3020, M3030, NEX and XCT.

The recalled forks have serial numbers in the top row beginning with “K” and ending with a number between 141101 and150127. The fork model and serial numbers are located on the back of the fork’s crown. The serial number is the first row. The model number is in the second row. “SR Suntour” is printed on stickers on both sides of the fork legs.

This recall involves all Colnago CF10 and Colnago V1-r racing bicycles and bicycle frame kits that fit 28-inch wheels. "Colnago for Ferrari" is on the downtube and the Ferrari logo is on the seat tube of the CF10. "Colnago" is on the downtube and the Ferrari logo is on the crossbar of the V1-r. Model numbers CF10 or V1-r are on both sides of the front fork.

Model CF10 frames come in the colors black with white letters and red trim, and black with white letters and yellow trim. Model V1-r frames come in the colors black with white letters and red trim, gray with black letters and black trim, gray with white letters and white trim, and white with silver letters and silver trim.

The bicycles, manufactured in Taiwan, were sold authorized Colnago dealers from August 2014, to April 2015, for between $4,800 and $12,000.

Consumers should stop using the recalled bicycles and bicycle frame kits and contact Colnago America for a free inspection. If the hole in the front fork for the brake mounting bolt is not at least 12 mm in depth, the front fork will be replaced free of charge.

The front wheel hub can break and cause the disc brake system to fail, posing crash and injury hazards to the consumer.

The company has received 2 reports of broken hubs. No injuries have been reported.

This recall involves all 2015 model year GT Fury Elite and GT Fury Expert downhill mountain bicycles. The recalled 2015 Fury Elite model is white with blue and red accents. The recalled 2015 Fury Expert model is metallic grey with lime green accents.

The bicycles have front and rear disc brakes and come with rear shock absorbers and front suspensions. "Fury" is printed on the top tube, the GT logo is on the down tube and the chainstay. The model names are printed in small letters on the top tube of the bicycles near the word Fury.

The bicycles, manufactured in Taiwan, were sold at authorized GT dealers from November 2014, to March 2015, for between $3200 and $4400.

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled bicycles and return them to the nearest authorized GT dealer to have the complete front wheel replaced free of charge.

Felt Bicycles of Irvine, Calif., is recalling about 200 Felt Cruiser bicycles

The bicycle’s brakes can fail, posing a crash hazard.

The company has received 26 reports of incidents with the recalled bicycles. No injuries have been reported.

This recall involves beach cruiser style Felt Deep Six and El Guapo model bicycles with one speed and coaster brakes. “Felt” and “Deep Six” or “El Guapo” are printed on the bicycle’s frame.

The Deep Six was sold in black cherry with white sidewall tires and the El Guapo was sold in matte black with white tires. The Deep Six has a serial number between YI31106188 and YI31106287. The El Guapo has a serial number between YI31106288 and YI31106387. The serial number is printed on the bicycle’s bottom bracket.

The bicycles, manufactured in Taiwan, were sold at bicycle specialty stores nationwide from June 2014, through March 2015, for between $600 and $750.

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled bicycles and contact their local Felt bicycle dealer for a free inspection and replacement of the rear hub cog/driver.

Pedego Inc., of Irvine, Calif., is recalling about 5,000 lithium ion rechargeable batteries.

The batteries can overheat, posing a fire hazard.

The company has received 6 reports of batteries overheating and catching fire, including 1 report of property damage. No injuries have been reported.

This recall involves 36-volt and 48-volt lithium ion rechargeable batteries sold separately and as original equipment with Pedego electric bikes. Recalled batteries of each voltage came in two styles.

One style has a silver or black metal case that measures about 13 ½ inches long, 6 ½ inches wide and 2 ½ inches high, with black plastic end caps and a handle. The other style has a black or white plastic case that measures about 14 inches long, 6 ½ inches wide and 2 ½ inches high with a red indicator lamp on one end.

The batteries have serial numbers that start with “DLG.” A label with the serial number is on one side of the metal batteries and on the underside of the plastic batteries.

The batteries, manufactured in China, were sold at bicycle stores and electric bike retailers and online at www.pedegoelectricbikes.com from January 2010, through September 2013. The batteries were sold separately for about $600 to $900 and on electric bicycles that sold for between $2,000 and $3,000.

Consumers should immediately remove the battery from the bike and contact Pedego for a free replacement battery.

Trek Bicycle Corporation of Waterloo, Wis., is recalling about 998,000 Trek bicycles equipped with front disc brakes in the U.S. and Canada.

An open quick release lever on the bicycle’s front wheel hub can come into contact with the front disc brake assembly, causing the front wheel to come to a sudden stop or separate from the bicycle, posing a risk of injury to the rider.

The company reports 3 incidents, all including injuries. One incident resulted in quadriplegia. One incident resulted in facial injuries. One incident resulted in a fractured wrist.

This recall involves all models of Trek bicycles from model years 2000 through 2015 equipped with front disc brakes and a black or silver quick release lever on the front wheel hub that opens far enough to contact the disc brake.

Bicycles with front quick release levers that do not open a full 180 degrees from the closed position, are not included in this recall.

The bicycles. Manufactured in China and Taiwan, were sold at bicycle stores nationwide from about September 1999, through April 2015, for between $480 and $1,650.

Consumers should stop using the bicycles immediately and contact an authorized Trek retailer for free installation of a new quick release on the front wheel. Trek will provide each owner who participates in the recall with a $20 coupon redeemable by December 31, 2015 toward any Bontrager merchandise. (The coupon has no cash value.)

Civia Cycles, of Bloomington, Minn., is recalling about 1,000 Hyland bicycles and aluminum fenders.

The fender mounting bracket can break or bend, posing a fall hazard to the rider.

The company has received 1 report in which a consumer stated that a bracket broke and resulted in the consumer suffering a cervical spine injury and nerve damage.

This recall includes all Civia aluminum fenders sold separately as aftermarket sets and all Civia Hyland bicycles sold with the fenders as original equipment. The recalled fenders are round, designed for use with 700c wheels and tires and have the Civia logo on the front and rear sides of each fender. Fender sets came in black, blue, green, olive, red and silver.

Hyland bicycles came in blue, green, olive and red. The bikes have "Hyland" on the top tube, "Civia" on the down tube and the Civia logo on the seat tube.

The bikes and fenders, manufactured in Taiwan, were sold at independent bicycle retailers nationwide and online from April 2008, through March 2013, for about $60 per Civia fender set and between $1,200 and $4,500 for Civia Hyland bicycles.

Waterloo Industries of Waterloo, Iowa, is recalling about 120,000 Husky Securelock vertical bike hooks in the U.S. and Canada.

The mounted bike hooks can detach unexpectedly, allowing the bike to fall posing a risk of injury to bystanders.

The firm has received 22 reports of the bike hooks falling from the mounted Trackwall, including 12 reports of property damage to bicycles and/or nearby vehicles. No injuries have been reported.

This recall involves Husky Securelock vertical bike hooks used with a Husky Trackwall garage storage system. The 3 by 3.5-inch black metal plate is mounted to the grooves in the Trackwall and the bike’s tire is attached to a hook protruding from the plate.

There are no markings on the hook. The Trackwall has “Husky” printed on the lower left corner. The hook holds up to a 35 pound bike.

The bike hooks, manufactured in China, were sold exclusively at Home Depot stores nationwide from April 2011, to March 2015, for about $9.

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled hooks and return them to the nearest Home Depot store for a full refund.

This recall involves carbon and alloy Aerobars sold individually and with model years 2012 through 2015 Specialized Shiv bicycles and model year 2013 Specialized Transition Apex bicycles.

The carbon Aerobar was sold in black with a white Specialized logo on the top side of the handlebar, and the alloy model was sold in black with no markings.

The boy’s bicycles were sold in red and have serial number HA14980XXXXXX. The girl’s bicycles were sold in purple and have serial number HA14982XXXXXX. Serial numbers are printed on a foil label affixed to the underside of the base of the down tube. “Marin” is printed on the seat and the downtube. “Tiny Trail” or “MBX 50” is printed on the bicycles chain guard.

The bicycle fork can bend or break, posing a fall hazard to the rider.

No incidents or injuries have been reported.

This recall involves all aluminum Salsa Bearpaw forks sold separately and on Mukluk bicycles. The forks have date code 20130524, 20130710 or 20130826 stamped on the fork steerer, followed by “CWI2201BAN2” and a Salsa compass graphic on the bend of the fork blades.

Consumers or the dealer will need to disassemble the front of the bicycle to access the steerer tube with the date code and model information. The forks were sold in “tequila lime” with black paint, “metallic gold,” red and black. The bikes were sold in sizes x-small, small, medium, large and x-large.

The forks, manufactured in Taiwan, were sold at bicycle stores nationwide and online at various websites from September 2013, through November 2014, for about $250 separately and for between $1,850 and $4,400 for the bicycles.

The shock absorber is marked with graphics that incorrectly identify the adjustment directions for High Speed Rebound (HSR) damping. Following these directions will cause unexpected behavior by a bike’s suspension and pose a fall hazard to a rider.

The company has received four complaints from customers, one of which involved a report of injury with bruises in the midsection.

This recall involves Cane Creek Cycling Components DBINLINE bicycle rear shock absorbers marked with graphics that incorrectly identify the adjustment directions for High Speed Rebound (HSR) damping.

The shocks come in black anodized aluminum with the words “INLINE” marked on the air can portion of the shock and are attached to a full-suspension mountain bike frame. Recalled products have a serial number on the underside of the top valve body in the following ranges: AA00002 – AA07304 and SA00077 – SA03926.

Scott has received one report of a broken SR Suntour fork. No injuries were reported. Trek has received 28 reports of broken forks. Five injuries have been reported, including minor bruises, a separated shoulder and broken bones.

Recalled Scott bicycles have 700c wheels, disc brakes and one of the following Suntour front fork models: NEX or NCX. Bicycle model names and numbers are on the main frame of each bicycle in a location that varies by model. The model year can be identified by the color scheme of the bicycle frame. The fork’s model name is printed on the outer sides of the fork.

The following Scott bicycles with Suntour forks are being recalled:

Recalled Trek bicycles have disc brakes and one of the following Suntour front fork models: NEX, NRX (with IS mounts), XCM (on bicycles with 29-inch wheels) or XCT (on bicycles with 29-inch wheels). Bicycle model names and numbers are on the top tube near the seat tube or near the head tube. Bicycles with a serial number ending in F, G or H should be taken to the dealer for inspection. The serial number is on the frame of the bicycle under the bottom bracket. The fork’s model name is printed on the outer sides of the fork.

The bike’s frame can crack at the hinge on the top tube, posing a fall hazard.

No incidents or injuries reported in the U.S. The firm has received 11 reports of the bicycle frames cracking including five reports of minor scrapes and bruises from outside the U.S.

The recall involves Link Uno, Link D7i, Link D8, Link P9, Link P7i, and Link P24h models of Tern brand adult folding bikes. These six models were sold in black/blue, black/green, black/grey, black/red dark grey/light grey, grey/orange and white/pink color combinations. “Tern” is printed on the front end of the top tube and on other portions of the frame. The model name is printed on the middle of the top tube.

Recalled bicycles have a 10-character alphanumeric serial number that begin with either AI1133 through AI1137 or AI1151 through AI1213 stamped on the bottom bracket shell of the bike. An alphanumeric service tag number is located on the front of the seat tube and this number can be used to determine if the bicycle is affected by going to the firm’s website www.ternbicycles.com.

The bicycles, manufactured in China, were sold exclusively at authorized Stile/Tern dealers nationwide from November 2011, to April 2014, for between $600 and $1250.

The company has received one report of a fork breaking. No injuries have been reported.

This recall involves model year 2014 Scott men’s and women’s road bicycles, models Speedster 30, Speedster 40, Contessa Speedster 25 and Contessa Speedster 35. The bikes have the brand name “SCOTT” and the model name “Speedster” on the frame. They were sold in black and white with blue, green, purple or teal accents.

The following serial number ranges are included in the recall: AS30500001–AS30504930, AS30700001–AS30704651, AS30900001–AS30903278, AS31100001–AS31103744 and AS40101604–AS40105463.

The serial number is printed on a white sticker and embossed on the underside of the bicycle frame near the pedals.

The bicycles, manufactured in Cambodia, were sold at authorized Scott dealers nationwide at retail and online from about August 2013, through May 2014, for between $1,000 and $1,300.

The bicycle forks can crack or break above the brake mount posing a fall hazard to consumers.

The recall involves certain models of Alpenchallenge, Urbanchallenge and Masschallenge bicycles equipped with full carbon Aprebic bike forks model ACC-A704DN50B.  The fork model number is printed behind the top arch. Specific bicycle models included in the recall are Alpenchallenge AC01 105 Tiagra, Alpenchallenge AC01 Rival, Masschallenge MC01 Team and the Urbanchallenge UC01 Alfine 11. Both the Alpenchallenge and Urbanchallenge bicycles include the 2012 and 2013 model years. The Masschallenge bicycle includes model year 2012. The model year is printed on the top tube of the bike. The bicycles come in black and yellow, or black and red color combinations.

The bicycles, manufactured in Taiwan, were sold at authorized BMC bicycle dealers nationwide from December 2011 to June 2013 for about $1,000.

Cycling Sports Group of Wilton, Conn., is recalling about 80 model year 2014 Cannondale tandem bicycles.

The bicycle fork can break and cause the riders to lose control, posing a risk of injury.

The company has received two reports of loose steerer tubes. No injuries have been reported.

This recall involves three models of 2014 tandem Cannondale bicycles, road 1, road 2 and 29 tandem. The road 1 and 29 tandem bicycles were sold in black with white graphics and the road 2 was sold in white with red and black graphics. “Cannondale” and “T1” or “T2” are printed on the aluminum frame bicycle. The 29 model is a mountain bike with 29-inch wheels and a 29 graphic decal affixed to the frame.

The bicycles, manufactured in Taiwan, were sold at authorized Cannondale dealers from October 2013, to December 2013, for between $2,700 and $5,400.

Consumers should immediately stop using the bicycles and return them to the nearest authorized Cannondale dealer to receive a free replacement fork.

Felt Bicycles, of Irvine, Calif., is recalling about 3,500 2008 Felt S22 and S32 triathlon bicycles and 2010 Felt S32, B12, B14 and B16 triathlon bicycles in the U.S. and Canada.

The steer tube on the bicycle fork can break and cause the rider to lose control, posing a risk of injury.

The company has received 18 reports of the bicycle forks breaking, including five reports of minor injuries.

This recall includes all 2008 Felt S22 and S32 triathlon bicycles, and 2010 S32, B12, B14 and B16 triathlon bicycles. The bicycles have aluminum frames with carbon fiber forks and aluminum steer tubes. The Felt logo is on the seat, frame and tires. The model number is printed on the frame, next to the Felt logo.

The 2008 S22 model was sold in gloss white and the 2008 S32 was sold in gloss red. The 2010 S32 model was sold in gloss black, the 2010 B12 was sold in gloss white, the 2010 B14 was sold in gloss pewter and the 2010 B16 was sold in matte black.

The bicycles, manufactured in China, were sold at bicycle specialty stores nationwide from October 2007, through February 2014, for between $1,500 and $3,000.

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled bicycles and contact their local Felt Bicycles dealer for a free inspection and steer tube replacement.

BMC-USA of Boston, Mass., is recalling about 1,311 Stromer ST1 electric bicycles in the U.S. and Canada.

The bicycle fork can break, posing a crash and injury hazard to the rider.

The company has received one report of a fork breaking, resulting in minor scrapes and bruises to the rider.

This recall involves all 2013 Stromer ST1 women’s and men’s pedal-assist electric bicycles, models M33 Elite and P48 Platinum. The bikes were sold in three colors; black, red and white. They have an integrated lithium battery located inside the down tube, motor on the rear hub and a three-button LCD system display on the handlebars. “Stromer” is printed on the top tube of the bicycle frame and on the seat and chain guard. The fork’s serial numbers for the recalled bikes start with: ST1S2F, ST1S2G, ST1S2H, ST1S2I, ST1S2J, ST1S3A, ST1S3B, ST1S3C, ST1S3D and ST1S3E. The serial number is etched at the bottom of the rear fork.

The bicycles, manufactured in Switzerland, were sold through authorized Stromer dealers nationwide and online from January 2012 to May 2013 for between $3,500 and $4,000.

Consumers should immediately stop riding the bicycle and take it to an authorized Stromer dealer. Consumers with a recalled bicycle will receive a free replacement fork and have it installed at no cost.

Tektro USA/TRP of Ogden, Utah, are recalling about 2,000 Spyre and Spyre SLC dual-piston mechanical disc brake calipers.

The brake cable actuator arm can over-rotate, dislocating parts, causing the brake calipers to fail. Lack of brakes results in loss of control and a crash hazard, posing a risk of injury to the rider and others.

The company has received one report of a brake caliper failing in this manner. There have been no reports of injuries or property damage.

This recall includes Spyre and Spyre SLC dual-piston mechanical disc brake calipers sold as original and aftermarket equipment in 2013. Spyre calipers have a black anodized caliper body and a silver actuator arm with “Spyre” on it. Spyre SLC calipers have a polished aluminum caliper body and a black composite actuator arm with “Spyre SLC” on it.

Recalled calipers have a fastening screw with a hollow six-pointed star-shaped head with no markings on it and a 3 millimeter pad adjust screw on the outward side. The recalled calipers were also sold as original equipment on bicycles manufactured or distributed by BTI, Diamond Back Bicycles, Giant Bicycles, Hans Johnson Co (HJC), Kona, Marin Bikes, Quality Bicycle Products, Raleigh America

The calipers, manufactured in Taiwan, were sold at retail bicycle shops nationwide and online at universalcycles.com, tektro-usa.com and trpbrakes.com from April 2013, to December 2013, for about $90 for the Spyre caliper and about $110 for the Spyre SLC caliper.

Consumers should immediately stop riding bikes equipped with the recalled brake calipers and return the calipers to the original place of purchase or Tektro USA/TRP for a free replacement with an improved version.

3T Design of Hong Kong is recalling about 1,525 Cervelo P5 bicycles with 3T Aduro aero handlebars in the U.S. and Canada.

The forward extension mounts can detach from the base bar causing the rider to lose control, posing a risk of injury.

The company has received 28 reports of incidents, including one report of a broken collar bone and four reports of abrasions.

The recall includes 2012 and 2013 Cervelo P5 bicycles equipped with 3T Aduro aero handlebars. The bicycles are black with red and white stripes. “P5” is on the seat tube, "Cervelo" is on the top tube and a large “é” is on the down tube in white lettering. The handlebars consist of four major components: a base bar, which attaches to the bike; a forward extension mount, which attaches to the base bar; forearm rests and forward extension bars, which attach to the forward extension mount. The base bar is black with red and white stripes and has “3T” on the top and rear. The handlebars come with both a high and a low forward extension mount, one of which will be installed based on customer fit. Consumers can purchase an ultra-low forward extension mount separately.

The words “Ultimate Performance” are on the forward extensions. The handlebars were manufactured between January 2012 and July 2012. Serial numbers for the handlebars are on a label inside the base bar under the stem cap on the rear wall. The serial number is the seven-digit number following “FM78-Basebar-.” The manufacture date code is the first four digits of the serial number in the MMYY format. Date codes for the defective handlebars range from 1201 to 1207. P5 bicycles which have already been inspected and passed at retailers are distinguished by a green sticker with an “é” on the underside of the Aduro base bar.

The bicycles, manufactured in China, were sold at Cervelo retailers nationwide from May 2012, to August 2013, for between $7,000 and $10,000.

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled bicycles and contact 3T Design to have the recalled handlebars replaced free of charge with a modified set of Aduro aero handlebars installed with the high or low mount. Consumers who also purchased the ultra-low mount can receive a full refund for the ultra-low mount and a free modified Aduro aero base bar for use with the originally purchased low mount, or replacement of the Aduro aero handlebars with 3T Mistral aero handlebars with a low-position mount, which places a rider in a position similar to the Aduro ultra-low position mount.

West Marine Products of Watsonville, Calif., is recalling about 4,600 folding bicycles.

The bike’s frame can break during use, posing a fall hazard to the rider.

The company has received three reports of the bicycle’s frame breaking, resulting in bruises and scrapes to a rider.

This recall involves two models of folding bicycles: the Jetty Express 2 and the Port Runner 2, which are designed for use in and around docks and marinas. The Jetty Express 2 has a blue and white frame and folds at a hinge in the middle. Jetty Express 2 is printed on the bike’s frame. The Port Runner 2 has a red frame and folds at a hinge in the middle. Port Runner 2 is printed on the bike’s frame.

The bicycles, manufactured in China, were sold at West Marine stores nationwide, online at www.westmarine.com and in the West Marine catalog from March 2010, through July 2013, for between $300 and $400.

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled bicycles and return them to West Marine for a free replacement.

SRAM is recalling SRAM Hydraulic Road Rim Brakes and Hydraulic Road Disc Brakes for bicycles. The brake systems can fail, posing a crash and injury hazard.

The recalled bicycle brake models include SB Red Hydraulic Road Disc, SB Red Hydraulic Road Rim, SB 700 Hydraulic Road Disc and SB 700 Hydraulic Road Rim, used as   either front or rear brakes. The SB RED brake lever is labeled “RED” on the body of the lever assembly.  The SB 700 brake lever is labeled “S-Series” on the body of the lever assembly.  The serial numbers for the recalled brakes have the digit “3” as the fourth digit of the serial number.  The serial number can be found on the bottom of the caliper body. 

The firm received 95 reports of brakes failing in the U.S.One minor injury was reported in the U.S. and another in Australia

Consumers should immediately stop using bicycles equipped with the recalled SRAM brake systems and contact any SRAM dealer to arrange for a free replacement product to be installed and to receive a $200 product voucher or cash per customer.

Specialty bicycle retailers nationwide from May 2013 to December 2013 for between $285 and $581 for the disc or rim brakes. Bicycles sold with the SRAM disc or rim range from $2,500 to $7,500. 

Specialized Bicycle Components of Morgan Hill, Calif., is recalling about 173 2012 Source Eleven and Source Expert Disc bicycles with Supernova Switchable Dynamo Front Hubs

The set screws in the front hub of the recalled bicycles can loosen and stop the front wheel from turning, posing a fall hazard.

No incidents or injuries have been reported.

The recalled products are 2012 model year Source Eleven and Source Expert Disc bicycles with Supernova Switchable Dynamo Front Hubs as part of the original equipment. The name “Specialized” is printed on the bicycle’s down tube and “Source Eleven” or “Source Expert” are printed on the top tube. The front hubs have “www.supernova-lights.com” and one of the following model numbers printed on them: 1207, 1208, 1226, 1227, 1228, 1241, 1254, 1263, 1284 and 1344.

The bicycles, manufactureed in Taiwan, were sold at authorized Specialized Bicycle dealers in the United States from October 2011, to September 2013, from about $2,000 to 2,700.

Customers should immediately stop riding the recalled bicycles and bring them to an authorized Specialized dealer for a free replacement front wheel and new Supernova front hub. A list of authorized dealers is available on the company's web site.

Fox Factory of Watsonville, Calif., is recalling about 12,500 Evolution 2013 mountain bike suspension forks in the U.S. and Canada.

The suspension fork’s damper cylinder/piston can separate and cause the front wheel to detach, posing a fall hazard.

The company has received one report of an incident in Italy resulting in shoulder injuries.

The recalled suspension forks are model year 2013, 32 and 34 Evolution Series with 120mm to 160mm of travel. The Evolution name and logo are on a sticker on the front fork with the FOX brand name logo. Recalled forks can be identified by the serial number, which is found on the underside of the crown after removing the front wheel. The forks were sold as original equipment on some of the following 2013 model year mountain bikes: BMC, Cannondale, Commencal, Diamondback, GT, Kona, Lapierre, Norco, Orbea, Raleigh, Rocky Mountain, Santa Cruz, Scott, Specialized and Trek. A small quantity of suspension forks were sold to retailers or distributors as aftermarket accessories.

The forms, manufactured in the U.S, were sold at bicycle retailers nationwide between August 2012, and October 2013, as original equipment on bicycles priced from about $2,000 to $4,400. Products sold for aftermarket use for about $600 to $650.

Consumers should stop using the bicycles with recalled Fox Factory suspension forks and bring them to the place of purchase for a free repair. Trek Bicycles of Waterloo, Wis., is recalling about 6,800 model year 2013 Madone bicycles.

The bicycle’s front brake can fail, posing a crash hazard. The company has received five reports of loose front brake attachment bolts. No injuries have been reported.

This recall involves model year 2013 Trek Madone bicycles with model numbers 5.2, 5.9, 6.2, 6.5, 7.7 or 7.9, and serial numbers starting with WTU and ending with G or H. A list of all serial numbers included in the recall is at www.trekbikes.com. Some of the recalled models are custom-ordered Project One Madones. The model number is printed on the bicycle frame. The serial number is printed on a sticker underneath the frame of the bicycle. The bicycles were sold in a variety of colors.

The bikes, manufactured in Taiwan, the U.S. and Germany, were sold at bicycle stores nationwide from July 2012, through December 2013, for between $3,400 and $6,300, and between $4,000 and $15,000 for custom models.

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled bicycles and take them to a Trek dealer for a free replacement front brake system.

SRAM LLC of Chicago, Ill., is recalling about 1,700 bicycle chain derailleurs.

The rear derailleur’s rear pivot pin can loosen or dislodge causing the rear derailleur to jam or interfere with the wheel, posing a fall hazard. The firm has received reports of 43 incidents in the U.S. with one report of scrapes and bruises.

The SRAM RED WiFLi Rear Derailleur is a device that moves a bicycle chain gears on the rear wheel. The name SRAM RED and the serial number of the derailleur are located on the back of the inner pulley wheel cage plate and visible when looking thru the spokes of the bicycle wheel. Serial numbers of affected products begin with one of the following four-digit codes:

The derailleurs, manufactured in Taiwan, were sold at specialty bicycle retailers nationwide from September 2012 to November 2013 for approximately $380 as an aftermarket installation. They were also sold as original equipment on new high-end bicycles.

Consumers should immediately stop using bicycles with the recalled SRAM RED derailleurs and return the bicycles to the place of purchase or any SRAM dealer for a free replacement, including installation. Consumers who bought the derailleurs as a stand-alone product can take them to the place of purchase for a free replacement or, for those who can make the equipment change themselves, contact SRAM for instructions on how to return the recalled product for the free replacement.
