This company is corrupt and will not let you backdate a renters insurance policy even when you provide all documentation that you moved out. I had everything sent to the email I was given and they decided to decipher the information their own way and keep my money even though I moved out over 6 months ago. I am blown away at this company and their reluctance to issue a refund like they state they do...but they don't. Avoid getting renters insurance through Travelers at all costs!

My experience with them from the start was extraordinary. We had an electrical storm that took out our power. We were without power for a little over 7 days but because of food loss they replaced our loss with no problem at all and it was expedient. Now since covid 19 hit they decided to give everyone a break on their bill. Most Americans would appreciate that. However some of us still paid our bill on time and in full when we were supposed to, but unfortunately those of us that still paid our bill and did not need any help have to pay the penalty because now our premium went higher and I know this is due to recovery of not being paid on time or not being paid at all because of covid-19, ask yourself was this our fault? I don't like being penalized for unforeseen circumstances. Whatever the reason we should have not had a higher bill both Auto and renters on the renewal policy.

I have never run into any issue where I had to submit a claim (knock on wood), but the ease of use of the rest of Travelers' features leads me to believe that if I did, it would be an equally smooth process.

Travelers was my choice because I went through Geico. They are easy to work with, they keep me updated and I don't have to stress. Their coverage is fair and the site is easy to navigate. I don't like bills that cause me a headache so I just pay it off for the year and rest knowing I'm covered.

I recently submitted a claim for my rental.... My renter overflowed bathtub and this did extensive water damage. Travelers came thru in a very rapid manner and, frankly, was the easiest part of the restoration process. I am ready to switch all my properties to Travelers.

On Memorial Day I had jewelry, a Elvis towel and other things at Ocean City Maryland travels. Don't want to pay me face value of my property. It's so wrong. I will never recommended this insurance company. They don't pay their claims but yet wants people to pay their policy. It's not right.

I purchased my Travelers Renters policy a few months ago when my area was under the threat of a hurricane. The agent who sold me the policy was very nice. I was very happy with the price. I bundled it with my car insurance so I got a good price. Luckily the hurricane missed us. Flash forward to the present. My vehicle was broken into and my medical bag which was full of my medications like insulin, glucose meter etc. was stolen. The agent in the claims center was very nice. Took my claim. I then sent all of the paperwork required when filing a claim.

I have yet to hear back from anyone. I have left messages for the claim agent. No response at all. When I spoke with the regular customer service center all of the sudden they are rude, not helpful at all and basically told me to shut up and wait for the claim agent to call me. I am disabled and cannot afford to replace my insulin so my health is being adversely affected. I'm so upset. Travelers Renters Insurance is a waste of money. They are all nice until it comes time to actually pay a claim.

I have loss of use for my condo. To no fault of ours my condo was flooded by the floor above mine. I couldn't rented for 3 months. I filed a claim and they refuse to pay. Stay away from this insurance company. All they do is collect premiums by refuse to pay claims. They should not be in business.

I had my Travelers insurance through my bank, attached to my credit card. This summer, I lost my job and my credit card got maxed out. Because of this, I was unable to maintain insurance coverage and let it lapse. Instead of just allowing insurance to lapse, as is standard, Travelers began to charge me late fees (without warning) that were greater than the cost/value of the insurance itself. When I called them to straighten things out and say I just wanted my coverage cancelled, they tried to bully me into agreeing to pay the balance which was far greater (more than 10 times) what I owed them, even if I had maintained coverage the entire time.

Unlike rent, credit card, car late fees though, insurance should not accrue late fees because 1) We weren't on a contract and 2) had we been on a contract, being that it was an insurance contract, it would have been void due to lack of payment. SO, had we tried to collect on our renter's insurance while we hadn't paid, we wouldn't have been able to. Therefore, they're attempting to charge us frivolous fees into the hundreds over a late payment on some $14/month insurance. This is absurd.

I’m very happy with Travelers Renters Insurance. They made me feel welcome and the company really cares about the clients. There are many different plans to choose from, more than enough to cover any interest I have, all priced very competitively, from partial to complete coverage with price replacement guarantee. I love the great coverage they offered and the working relationship with all involved.
