Progressive RV Insurance Reviews

Had my camper 3 years. Rv center had a third party spend 2 hours explaining all maintenance and recommend products to use. Did all the maintenance plus some. When a tree fell on my roof. Broke the wood underneath and stretched the roof material it started leaking. I called in a claim and Progressive guy came out, walked on my roof! You can't walk on the roof of a keystone passport ultralight, look it up. Now he claims he heard cracking everywhere and It wouldn't be covered because I didn't do enough maintenance to it. It never leaked before the tree hit it but they won't pay. I will be taking them to court.

Received an emailed RV quote of 598.98 and I called Progressive with a question. Once my question was answered I was ready to pay the quote for the year. The agent offered to process the policy for me so I didn't have to do it online and came back with 586.01 and when I asked about the price difference...I was told that it was less because I would accept electronic billing instead of paper statements. However, it was a switch and bait technique....The agent changed the policy coverage without telling me. This is definitely a phishing scam and feels very deceptive ...Downright fraudulent. PLEASE be careful. I was actually considering bringing over my other business - 3 autos and home ....BUT NOT NOW OR EVER.

The insurance was reasonable but don't be fooled by the included "roadside assistance". I have only had it for a couple of months. I called twice. They were not able to assist me because there was no one in their network that covers the area. They were more than happy to put me in touch with someone I can pay for assistance. Granted one of the times was in the middle of nowhere Texas. The second time I was in the DFW area. I am sorry but if they cannot find anyone in their network in a large metroplex like that, then the service is essentially nonexistent.

We have been paying Progressive for years for RV insurance and recently had our RV engine go out in the desert. We have waited two days and spoken with multiple representatives from all over the world who are unable to help us with getting our RV towed. They keep telling us there are no tow trucks available. Long story short, my husband was able to find a tow truck on his first phone call. I am now looking into new insurance with a reliable company who doesn't outsource to other countries. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY!

I recently purchased a travel trailer and was shopping for RV insurance as well as roadside assistance. I selected Progressive based on price and word of mouth. The day after I picked up my travel trailer, I blew a tire on the highway and was stranded in 95 degree weather. I contacted Progressive to get assistance with changing my tire as I did not have a suitable jack. After wading through the phone menu, I received a text with a link to fill in all the information about my issue, location, type of camper, etc. After 1 1/2 hours, I received a call from a tow truck company who did not have any of the information that I had provided. When he heard it was a travel trailer, he said "Oh, we don't do trailers". My wait clock for service would start all over again... Very disappointed at starting the wait time all over again so I had to pay out of pocket for another company to come help me out. Do not trust Progressive for roadside assistance!

I made a few changes to my policy via my policy holder portal before I left for vacation to include collision, update my deductible, etc. When I came home, I needed to file a claim due some damage to the rear of the vehicle. They denied the claim, stating that the "changes were never made." What is the point of giving policy holders the ability to adjust their coverage online if they aren't going to honor the changes!!!! I would not recommend Progressive and intend to go back to Geico! The only reason I switched to Progressive is so that I could get an umbrella policy via USAA:-/ USAA needs a new affiliate for their RV insurance!!!

My RV is parked in the Sierras where there was 60 feet of snow this winter. I cleared the roof every few weeks, but after a very heavy rain followed by 6 more feet of snow, the roof fell in several inches in one corner. I carry comp, so I reported a claim. I sent photos of the cleared roof, the sheer amounts of snow surrounding the RV, etc. They denied my claim due to "Several months of water damage". HELLO!! How was I supposed to remove the cover to inspect when the snow came up to the roof?! DO NOT USE PROGRESSIVE. They used to be good 20 years ago. No longer.

We recently had roof damage on our RV while relocating from Florida to MD. During a storm we experienced a large water leak near our rear window and roof area. I made a quick patch and brought it in to a Camping World for them to look at. They inspected it and advised me to submit a claim. I submitted the claim and waited for a response. Just prior to our relocation we had a 250 point inspection complete and a full service. The insurance adjuster denied our claim for seal failure due to lack of maintenance.

Have had Progressive RV insurance for about 3 years now. Last summer had my catalytic converters stolen and Progressive was there to help get them replaced in time for a cross country trip. When we go back still had some issues and ended up having to take to a dealer an hour away. The dealer caused some damage to the awning and refused to admit it. I thought, that is what insurance is for and started a claim. Progressive, again, did a great job on helping me get it fixed. The other day I got a non-renewal notice from them. Think it is odd for a company to non-renew a client that pays on time, had 1 moving violation in 40 years, has only ever submitted 2 claims to an insurance company for a total of $1500. Was going to switch my auto and home to them this year, glad I waited. I get having metrics and flags to ID poor risks, but think you need to look at all of the information about your clients.

I rolled my truck and camper which were total losses. The auto division handled my claim in a professional and timely manner. Camper loss was just the opposite. A month later and my camper has not been retrieved from storage for inspection. I had to call the storage lot and State Police personally to make sure it could be picked up by progressives towing service. Adjuster was sarcastic and I had to call towing service myself to make sure camper was picked up. Wish.
