Humana was my worst nightmare. My wife and I signed up during the sign up window in 2024. Humana agent signed me up with wrong Primary Care Provider. I tried in vain to get Humana to assign and change my PCP. I called and called agent after agent, from Florida, to Texas, to San Francisco, Ca. to the Caribbeans to no avail. Finally We decided to change Health Plans to Alignment Health and this organization got it right from the start. I was finally able to see my PCP and get back on track after two months of hell. It took until March 10th 2025 to get back on track with a Health plan that knew what they were doing. Humana Never again!

Humana has a TeleHealth Program with Gold 365 that called me to setup a home visit and my incentive would be a gift card. Against my better judgment, I agreed. On 11/4/24 Humana telehealth sent a matrix nurse to my home. -On 12/30/24 I asked Humana about my incentive gift card(s) for Novembers home visit. -On 2/5/25 I called AGAIN for my incentive gift card(s) from the November 2024 Humana home visit. I was told from the representative Michelle with the Gold365 department to call Matrix for my incentive gift card. After speaking with Matrix I concluded that that was misinformation. I called back to Humana Gold 365 an was told to wait 20days which was 3/6/25 still NOTHING.

-On 3/6/25 I called about my incentive from the November 2024 Humana home visit and I then spoke to Ern a representative with Gold 365 an I was told to WAIT ANOTHER 20Days, which will be 4/3/25. >> I now know that I will NEVER receive my incentive gift card(s) for the telehealth Humana Gold 365 Program. Humana should STOP promising its members an incentive to agree to a Humana home care visit. Members who participate in the Gold 365 telehealth program should NOT believe that there is any Incentive, even if it is promised or suggested.

Just a terrible company to deal with. We have had relatives that end up on the hospital and have issue getting discharged. Also had family that needed to go to rehab per the doctor as hospital yet were denied by Humana. All the doctors and hospitals I work with say better to do original Medicare and not have Humana be the approver on everything. It seems much easier to deal with Medicare directly.

I need a new aortic valve. Cardiologist and healthcare pros all agree. Yet some bureaucrat deems it unnecessary and denies the authorization! Hopefully this gets resolved before it kills me. I can see why Humana is getting dropped by so many.

Humanas otc allowance for Medicare customers is not very friendly. You can't use it at retailer locations any longer. If you need anything right away you have to order it from Centerwell Rx. Then you'll get it in 5-7 days....really unacceptable. Plus you cut the benefit amount to protect the bottom line. It's true they don't care about their customers..remember I have a choice as to where I get coverage from.

I always liked Humana but lately got denied on a basic claim. For back decompression, laser, and exam, the Medical office said, "No problem, would be covered, got a order from my doctor thought all good, "NOT." They said didn't recognize the codes and needed to be performed my medical doctor which he is. Even the physical therapy, never had a problem before, something has changed. There was a big write-up in Serenity magazine on Medicare advantage being a rip-off due to wrong coding, hopefully, I can change back to regular Medicare.

Humana is an absolute fraud. I paid for a whole year of insurance when I had the money. And the next year my money was running funny so I decided to pay month to month. I called humana to let them know and the representative that I spoke to had the nerve to tell me that I couldn't make a month-to-month payment because I already paid my insurance up for the previous year so I signed up for the "annual" membership plan and that I had to continue paying my member ''annually' and if I wanted to change my "annual" membership to a "month-to-month" membership, I would basically have to start over and get a new membership, AFTER I ALREADY SPENT ALMOST FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS. The representative that signed me up originally didn't tell me anything about that. WHAT A SCAM AND I'M PISSED.

I have no complaints regarding my Humana health plan, however the problem comes up when you try to call their customer service line. If you can go through the computer questions and finally get to speak to an advocate, you are then in real stables. Your advocate barely speaks English and mostly don't understand your question. They are trained to say "thank you very much" for everything you say whether they understand or not. You really don't know if your message was understood or not, then you get surprised when you get a response that doesn't relate to your question at all. You get frustrated so you hang up and try again. Maybe you get lucky second time and get a better advocate, third and maybe Fourth time. This is not a customer service line, it is a customer no service line.

HUMANA started out being a wonderful health insurance. Last year I had unlimited rides. This year they changed their transportation system. The representatives and supervisors don’t know anything. All I get is the runaround. Now I don’t have transportation to go to the doctors that I need to go to which I do go every day. Just horrible.

I have been a longtime member of Humana PPO. I have used the MD Live program and have never had a fee. I fully understand that to see a specialist in-office has increased to $55.00. I have used this doctor via MD Live for two years. I was told on 1/16 when I booked my MD Live appointment that there is now a fee. I called Humana three times and was told there is no fee. I called MD Live, they said to call Humana, and vice versa. After seven calls, today, 1/4/2025, a Humana agent was rude and cut me off as I spoke.

My specific question was why there had never been a fee in the past two years, even for the specialist I use for telephone visits, and now there is. Is there a change in my policy? I was told no, the appointment should be free. I called MD Live back, and they disagreed. I asked Humana if there was a change in benefits in my plan for 2025. The call was rude, and he answered no, then said, "I don't know," etc. I will pay the fee as it was deducted on 1/21/2025 for my 1/17/2025 appointment, but I was told this was free, with no changes, and nobody at Humana could answer or wanted to take the time to answer. I am very disappointed and will no longer refer people to Humana PPO.
