Everything started out fine, then 2 years into my homeownership my roof started leaking. Insurance adjuster states that there is no damage to roof, but poor sealing around roof vents is evident. Adams Homes was informed and said they don’t have any responsibility over that because their 1-year warranty is up.

I bought a home in March of this year built from the ground up in Auburndale Fl. New subdivision called Cadence Crossing. In August when we got the Tropical storm the baseboards started to separate from the walls underneath the windows!!! I called Adams out and they said it was up to me to fix it!! Keep in mind this home was 400,000 and still under warranty as I have not lived in it but about 5-6 months. Please look elsewhere!! The septic tanks are garbage and the A/C units as well!! Please enlarge the pictures I uploaded so you can see better.

Both the sales agent and sales manager lied repeatedly and made promises they wouldn’t keep. Sales agent is totally inept. Wasted 6 weeks and a 20 hour round-trip drive trying to get a contract. Can only imagine the nightmare of getting a home built. Stay away. Thankful to have dodged a huge bullet.

We have been in our new Adams Home since the beginning of August and we wanted to wait until an ‘issue’ came up and see how it was handled before leaving a review. So here it is, from start, to closing, to finally how Adam’s homes reacted with a home warranty concern. At first, we were skeptical about purchasing an Adams home because of the horrible reviews from other areas, but we are glad we decided to give it a chance! They were very helpful and accommodating from the beginning to the end. Before closing, I noticed several black widows outside of the house. Having a curious 2-year-old, this was not going to work.
Even though the realtor told me no for them to get rid of them, when reaching out Valerie, the closing manager, she went above and beyond. She made sure pest control arrived to eradicate the spiders and left documentation showing they paid for this service to be done. It was a sigh of relief for our family. At the walk-through, the builder, Angela and her other builder met us there and even helped with blue taping. They were extremely helpful and personable. (One thing, make sure to check all doors). Closing day, we were able to move in with no issues.
After moving in, we came across normal new build issues (loose door handles, crooked plug-ins, etc) but nothing unexpected from a new build home. We did, however, have issues with our bottom downstairs toilet. It was having issues with water backing up, and we had only used ‘number one’. We contacted Valerie and Amanda, the person in charge of home warranties. Not only were they very responsive, they had a plumber out the very next day to figure out the issue. Turned out it was a huge piece of cement that got in there during construction. It was fixed, and the warranty covered all work. We love our new home, and we would recommend this division (Elk Creek) to anyone looking. My advice is to do a thorough walk-through and if there are issues, speak to Valerie.

Hello everyone, if you are thinking of buying a new house in the Cape Coral area and you want the rooms in your newly built house to have almost no air conditioning and to be hot all the time and have to sleep with a fan, then don’t hesitate and buy from Adam Homes, where the air conditioning system doesn’t work properly and “has a warranty” but they don’t give you a solution to the problem. Where the floor tiles barely have cement and they come off on their own and the door hinges squeak as if it were an old house. If you want to save money, don’t hesitate, buy from Adam Homes! .... My review has one star because I have no option to remove it.

We closed on our home Dec. 31, 2020. We did all our walk thrus and had a short list to be fixed. Those were completed but one was crappy. To begin with, when we decided on the model, 2265, we made them fully aware that the livingroom/den would be used as a bedroom for a teenager. We wanted doors installed with NO GLASS. I don't care to see my teenager do their thing. That was one thing off that bat that was wrong. They installed glass doors. We complained and they only exchanged the doors out, not the entire frame and doors. They installed doors and they did not properly fit. So the Super or project mgr, placed a folded piece of cardboard behind the hinge to "fix it" which we discover when the door started falling off. Which leads to the next issue. Every door has fallen off the hinges because the screws used to install are too small to hold the weight of the door. One door even came completely apart.
Next issue, the drywall itself seems cheap along with whatever is sprayed for texture. Curtain rods that have the drywall plugs installed to secure the screw, none hold! Every one of them have slowly came out and we rarely open the curtains. Next, flooring. We have tile in all wet areas and of course homes settle. They allow one repair of tile and grout. We had to wait till end of that year mark to get everything fixed at once. Well instead of removing flooring in the areas, the guy scrapped out the grout and then just filled it in. Well guess what, none have held up. His repair has all chipped out and they won't fix it.
Lastly, the flat paint used is crap. Instead of a decent paint on walls, the flat paint was used and even in bathrooms. Nothing was sealed, so around the garden tub, the moisture has caused paint to bubble and come off. No, they do not install tile around garden tub. I have to now have flooring redone in all wet areas, house repainted, and tile installed in bathroom. Then try to figure out how to keep window treatments up!

My first home! We all dreamed of it, well Adam's homes Title company (Straughn and Turner), closing coordinator (Raquel **) and Manager Frederick **, are the worst person you can ever do business with. From day one they gave us a nasty attitude to me and my agent, the date of the closing was a nightmare, a total disaster. We were driving 4 hrs to get to them and the numbers were still not correct, we had to stop on our way to get into a bank to perform the wired based on the numbers they sent.
At the end they asked us for 2,422.00 more and there was no time to get to a bank. I did a wired in front of them and they just did not give us the keys until next day even though it was not our mistake and we explained to them that we were 4 hrs away, that we could not come back the next day, still nothing. In the morning we saw the wired went thru and let Susan from tittle company know and still she said... "Bank opens at 9am..." When we can all check accounts at any time, is like they try to make your closing a nightmare from start to finished, every single email was not answer after 2-3 emails after, and they never answer what we asked, then Susan will send another different email with a different answer.
I'm telling you that their service is HORRIBLE, and Federick the manager has the same bad attitude as all of them, no one there to help you, to make the process easy. If you are buying from this people take a deep breath and have a seat because trust me is going to be a hell of experience. The house is very nice, so far we really love it. Would we recommend someone to them... ABSOLUTELY NOT. They do sell their houses because they are 'ok' but they could sell even more if they had a better service and knew how to treat buyers with a little respect. My agent has 20 years of experience and she said she has never worked with a title company and closing coordinator as bad as this one, even my lender was amazed on how they deal with the emails and the way they reply to us. So my advice is... think about it, if you decided to buy with them as we did, enjoy the ride!!!

This was my first home purchase and let me tell you Adams Homes has proven to be the worst company I have ever done business with. From plumbing issues, to light fixtures, my closet and bathroom getting flooded from rain now to my roof sinking. This house was completed January 2022. When you call for help they are rude and quick to tell you the warranty has ended.

Took care of us during and after close. Quality needs to be improved during build, lots of defects in drywall and paint work, there is no warranty for grass or plants, unlike a lot of other builders the outside walls are concrete block making it very sturdy and durable.

My fiance' and I bought a new Adams home in Grand Oak Preserve in Parrish FL. We LOVE our house and the neighborhood couldn't be any better. We had a great experience up until our wall began leaking when it rains. Take my advice, If you decide to buy an Adams home anywhere, make sure you get a very thorough home inspection done before closing because it's impossible to get any warranty work done! the date today is 1/3/24 and I've been trying since October 2022 to get a leaking 2nd story wall fixed!
I've contacted their warranty person, Doris ** and get nothing but blown off. She stopped answering my emails altogether. I moved up the ladder to Tim ** September 2022. He was appalled that it had taken so long to get results. He set an appointment with Tibbits Lumber for October 26th to remove the siding from my house and fix the leak. They never showed. I called them and they said they had to call Tim to set another appointment. I also called Tim. He said he'd reschedule the appointment and then I never heard from him or anyone again. My 2nd story wall has been leaking during every rain storm for almost a year and a half. It makes me wonder what kind of mold is growing in the walls and floor
