1. The washer owner's manual provides no information about the various cycle selections. Must go to their site and dig to find that. Done. Information tells little about the actual logic of the cycles. So, I ran a few light things through three different cycle selections and watched through the glass top. On one cycle, during rinse, it actually loaded the tub with water, agitated, drained and rinsed. All as I would have expected. On two other cycle selections, during rinse, it only sprayed water from its faucet while rotating the drum for a minute, drained and repeated several times. The water spray was not sufficient to hit all of the three pieces of clothes. Therefore, the clothes were not fully rinsed. Pathetic!
2. Customer service was worthless with respect to whether that is how it is designed or whether a defect in the unit. On the first of two calls to Whirlpool, the guy told me to call for service and if it was determined that it was not defective, I would have to pay for the service call. He then hung up on me. On the second call, the lady read the same lame cycle info on their site and told me what I already knew. She could not tell me if the lame rinse cycles were by design or a defect, while her baby was crying in the background.
3. My opinion: Whirlpool is not what it used to be back in the day. They have joined the ranks of others with compromised, so called customer service. I would not recommend Whirlpool.

4.5 year old Whirlpool model WFW5620HW0, serial C907 51176, washer with defective plastic casing caused leak of drum water into bearing and seized. Stopped motor from turning drum. Purchased at Lowe's in Colorado on 3/9/2019, price $809.00. Worked fine until it just stopped turning the drum one day. $600 in diagnostics and repairman's last ditch check was to pull the back off and check the motor and bearings. Found the bearings seriously rusted from a drum leak due to plastic not fully covering the drum. No broken plastic pieces, this is a factory defect that somehow made it through quality assurance. Everything is connected to the bearings, rotor, motor and so the entire washer would need new parts to run properly again. I am very disappointed in Whirlpool that this made it through inspection. I will never buy Whirlpool again due to this oversight.

I grew up with Whirlpool products in our home. As an adult I have had 3 sets of Whirlpool front loader washer and dryers. This new set is absolutely the worst. Our warranty sucks. The washer still squeals in the spin cycle and apparently no one can fix it. The dryer is less than 30 days old and is making a knocking sound. I'm done.. I just want a new washer and dryer.

This washing machine is the worst product I've ever owned. From day 1, no matter what cycle used it does not get clothes completely wet. Even with “deep water” (which you have to use for everything) clothes come out with huge dry patches where the fabric IS NOT EVEN WET! You will have to wash everything twice. Sheet come out half wet and needing at least 2 washings. Whirlpool even reached out and brought up reasons that I must have caused for it to do this. Been doing laundry for 50 years so I do know how to load a washing machine. Doesn’t matter, large or small, every load comes out with huge dry patches where the items are not EVEN WET. Piece of junk. DO NOT BUY WHIRLPOOL WASHERS. I wish I could include pictures cuz every item came out half wet today.

Worse washer ever, so unhappy with it, water fills up only half way regardless of the loads size so clothes on top don’t get wet and it doesn’t wash the clothes at all, it barely moves the tub around, clothes come out the same way they were put into the washer, soapy and dirty not to mention the bulky sheets won’t even get wet. Whirlpool should remove those washers from the market. It’s a waste of money.

Garbage!!! DO NOT BUY A WHIRLPOOL PRODUCT. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED! Best Buy replaced the machine three times in two months, and this third machine has been serviced five times in the short THREE MONTHS we have had it. Best Buy says I am outside the return window, and Whirlpool says it will just keep putting parts into the machine. I asked for a return authorization - no go. I contacted Corie Barry, the Best Buy President, and just got the runaround. And don't buy Best Buy's total tech support - they only take your money and don't stand behind it! Even though it was only used for three months, it is going to our front yard with the trash pickup marked LEMON FROM WHIRLPOOL & BEST BUY! FREE. Buyer Beware!!

NEVER AGAIN!!! I will NEVER buy another Whirlpool or Maytag product again. 1st our fridge ice machine and water hose lasted a mere 2 yrs and now our 2.5 yr old washing machine tanked (needs a new transmission and agitator). Way to make things last and take the money of hardworking people. I'm truly disgusted and will never recommend or purchase a maytag/whirlpool appliance again. Good riddance.

I have been purchasing Whirlpool products (washers, dryers, refrigerators, ovens, microwaves, dishwashers) for 43 years ever since they helped me thru college with a job at a dryer manufacturing plant in Findlay, OH. Almost all products have been good... until this last front load washer... Model WFW5605MW0 purchased in November 2022 from Home Depot. The unit shakes the entire house. Leveling the legs did not help. Vibration pads under each leg did not help, a large vibration pad did not help. Two visits by repair people did not help. The only thing done by repair staff was to shorten the tube into the drain and that did not help. A phone call from repair staff to Whirlpool is not really a phone call to experts at the Whirlpool help line, they seem just to be staff that go through a checklist.
This model is a lemon. Worse, there is no real "objective" measure available from repair people of what unacceptable vibration or shaking is. There is just an observation of "subjective" measure stating some degree of shaking or vibration is acceptable. Again, repair people cannot measure vibration. Why is that? We DO NOT AGREE that the vibration is acceptable. We are waiting for the unit to pull the hoses our of the wall or shake itself apart. Or maybe even damage the house. We had a different front load Whirlpool model (Model WED75HEFW0) for 5 years at our last house and that model did not shake hardly at all, even with a big load. Why doesn't this model perform the same?

I’ve recently bought 3 new Whirlpool appliances. The new washing machine has been a pain to use ever since I got it. I have always washed loads of towels and washed lightweight blankets. After my first attempt to wash a lightweight blanket in it resulted in me, having to stop the machine after it had actually went out, went into my wall and made a hole upon using the rinse cycle. This machine will not spin and rinse towels even smaller towels. I will have to stop the machine, take out half of a load and let them rinse on their own, spin on their own then take that load out, put the other half of a small load in and rinse. It is the most frustrating machine I have ever seen. I had the repairman to come, he couldn’t do anything about it. He said just use it till it tears completely up. After using it a few months, I wished I had never bought this machine. Each time I use it with towels or blankets or sheets. I have to try repeated times to get it to spin out the water.

Sells defective products Model #: WTW6120HC, and sends out people to repair it over, and over again, about 10 times, and then doesn't replace the unit. When the warranty runs out, you're stuck with a bad machine that needs more repairs.
