I am a real estate broker with 15 years experience with other flooring companies and consumers, and I was very familiar with LL Flooring's product and other customer experiences. I knew I was gonna work with LL for my own home. It was wonderful when I did my purchase. I walked into the showroom and talked with the rep that was there. I told him exactly what I wanted for the carpeting, that I have a dog, and that I wanted extra padding. It took me 15 minutes to pick out what I wanted for the carpeting and schedule the install. I explained that for work, I was going out of the country and I was trying to get everything picked out so the materials could come in for when I got back so I could have it installed. I gave about a month lead time from whenever I was in the showroom till when I got back so everything could be installed.

For the engineered hardwoods, what I originally wanted was sold out and wasn't being reordered. But it worked out seamlessly because it forced me to look around the showroom and pick out something that I ended up liking much better. What I ended up ordering was comparable in pricing as well. The carpeting went seamlessly. They were in and out less than a full day. The hardwood process was a little clunky, and I was not entirely thrilled with it. The contractors themselves were fantastic and all around good group of guys. But the materials being dropped off for the hardwoods, because they have to be in an AC environment, they did not communicate with the warehouse and the other vendor, so I ended up being a project manager for them. I am used to doing that because I've been around construction for almost 20 years, but that is not the consumer’s job. They should have someone on the inside doing that.

I had to talk to the driver and tell him the information that he needed for the job. For instance, the house was vacant because I had all the floors being done before I moved in. He was saying that the job was gonna have to be rescheduled because the flooring needed to sit for a couple days and we couldn't do install on the same day as flooring. I said, "It’s a two-part job. The carpeting is being done on one side of the house. You can deliver. The driveway will be empty. You can put your materials on the other side of the house. It'll sit for a full 24 hours before the team for the floor comes in.” I also had to walk him through every step of the job so he would deliver materials.

The flooring itself is seamlessly installed. It's beautiful. The guys took out my washer, dryer, range, and refrigerator which were the only things that were in the house. Then they put them back and rehooked them up for me. I was in and out because I thought the install was only going to take two days max for the flooring. I had surgery scheduled on day three and could not be here, so I had to send friends and family to check in on them periodically.

The installation took an entire five days. They were here a lot longer and the trim look a little unfinished. There are parts where they cut the trim and the bare, natural wood is exposed on the end where everything else is white. There are parts where they didn't do the trim continued on the stair rise, but they did it on the bottom where it met the floor so I can see light or darkness behind the steps where I need to go back in with my own nail gun and finish it off or have a handyman do it. Since the wood flooring rose the height of the floor up, my closet door could not go back on the hinges at the entry for the closet, so I have to find a handyman to plane it because I can't put it back on. It's off its hinges right now in the entry way and looks a little sloppy until I find a carpenter that'll come in just for a one-off job to plane a singular door. But I would still recommend LL Flooring. They're well priced.

I went to LL Flooring and the man was very clear about what I could look for, what I shouldn't look for, and he showed me what areas in the store to look at. I was looking for something that was durable with eight cats, a dog, and I had my father. I needed something very easy to clean because they cause messes. When I went there, I told the man, “I need something really durable. I need something really flat that won't basically move, because my dad sometimes uses the walker, sometimes he uses a cane. I don't wanna redo it in three years.” If it is a one and done kind of thing.

The man I talked to at LL Flooring was, “Walk over this area of the store. Look at these three shelves. Those are what you're looking for.” There was no hesitation. There was no back and forth. It was, “Look at these three shelves. If those colors don't match, we can always find you something else. But this is why you should do it this way.” He was incredible. In no way did he ever say to me, “Oh, maybe you should bring your husband back.” He talked to me direct, and wasn't patronizing. He was very kind, which if you're a single woman doing home improvements, you know that that does not always go that way.

The installers were very professional. As soon as those guys came in, I was, “I'm really sorry about the kitchen. I know it's kind of a F’ed.” But they got it all up and everything installed. They came in at eight o'clock when they said they would, and left at 6:00. One spoke English well, one did not. The one who didn't speak English great was also incredibly respectful. They looked at me when they were speaking to me. I didn't feel weird by having two weird dudes in my house. They were respectful.

They got it done in a day. And they told me what to expect and what not to do, which I appreciated. I brought coffee and I bought them lunch, and they were incredibly thankful. They had to put in a transition piece, and they told me. The glue for the transition piece would take 24 hours. So, just made sure our animals didn't pee on it so that way it would full seal to the flooring.

I recommended LL Flooring to three more people. I tell all my girlfriends every time they break up flooring, “Just go to them.” And I keep saying the vinyl I got, which is the higher end vinyl, that looks nothing like you used to remember vinyl looking. Everyone who has come into my house said it has made a huge difference. I have original wood floors. I like LL Flooring so much. I had them extended into the dining room. I was originally just going to do my kitchen. And after I talked to the guy, I was, “Screw it,” and I had it done through my living room into my dining room. I went with a bigger space and paid more money than I originally would. Everyone keeps saying how much better it looks.

We purchased the EVP in the past with LL Flooring, and then we went back to do another one of the LVP purchases so we can use it on our rental house and we just have been customers of them. We bought switcher blocks and flooring from them. I like the selection. It's the best selection I can find locally around town if I want something locally, and the folks that were in there working with us were extremely helpful. They had some clearance items with enough product for what I needed at the rental house. So, they went through different items, found what we needed, and they had enough product in-house that I was able to empty out a section of their clearance to do that one. The previous purchases have been some online and some in-store.

The representatives that I've dealt with have all been very knowledgeable, very helpful, very insightful, and they were able to find a product when I told them what I wanted in comparison to what I have through a picture. They found exactly what I needed. So, I didn't have any problems with the first purchase that I went for, and I knew exactly what I wanted. I had went online, looked at it, then went into the store and then selected what I wanted and I already had my own measurements because I do outfits myself and renovations.

The products I've bought so far has been great quality for my use. I didn't go with hardwood. I need to go with an EVP for a farmhouse because of livestock and muddiness. They hold up to scratches, durability, water retentions, and they wear well. So, there are no scratches on anything. We have a dog in the house and they got claws and there are no scratches visible. So, I thoroughly am happy with what I've got and the quality of it.

I highly recommend LL for a product search for flooring and switcher block because they got great prices and a great selection on that as well. I'm glad that they do have a local store in our area because if I had to go pick out something between Lowe's or what other place we had available to look at, definitely LL's got some better options. I'm a commercial leasing manager, so we do a lot of renovations and outfits and I do a lot of product buying for our business side of it. So, if I need something in particular, I always recommend to go to LL for floors.

I had flooring installed in my upstairs bedroom, hallway and a small office nook. I looked at the flooring online and then I made a trip to the store to look at it in person. I did not like the flooring that I chose online when I saw it in person. The guy that was helping me was really nice and showed me different floorings that I ended up liking a whole lot better. He gave me some more information about the difference between what I had seen online and what I ended up choosing and how that would work better for the bedroom, hallway and office.

I made a $35 deposit for the installer to come and do measurements and to give me an estimate and do a walk through. That appointment was set up really quick. The next step was to have the flooring installed and that happened rather quickly. The installers arrived about 7:22 in the morning. They gave a window of time and they were right on time. They were polite and very efficient. They got right to work. They stayed right out of the way. They seemed like they were very knowledgeable and cleaned up afterward. They knew exactly what they were doing.

Their head guy came in at some point and worked with them. He was also overseeing the whole project. After it was finished, we did a walk through and he had me look over everything and asked if I was happy with the way everything looked. I wanted the flooring to be scratch-proof and to look really nice. I got all of that from LL Flooring. I got a lot of compliments on it from everybody that saw it. I've been really pleased with the sound from being downstairs and having somebody walking around upstairs. The noise has not been really that much of an issue. I like everything about it. I've been very happy with all of it, from the moment that I walked through the door to the very end experience and just working with those guys. All of that was a good experience. It was easy.

We got an engineered hardwood floor from LL Flooring. They used a subcontracting company to come in and do the installation, and everything went really well. They delivered the goods ahead of time so it could precondition to the temperature of the house. They had done all the measurements previously and talked us through our floor selection when we went to their store. It was a large, multi-day job for a 2,600 square feet area. They completed the installation very efficiently and on time then followed up later to make sure everything went well. We had it installed before we moved into our new house and they worked with us on scheduling and got everything done. They were awesome. They had to make some adjustments as they went along but they kept me informed of any adjustments in price and the quality of the install.

Tabitha was the store manager who worked with us. She was fantastic. She was very knowledgeable about the different products. She was in charge of and completely accountable to this project from beginning to end. I could talk to her and she knew where we were at and what was coming up next. She was responsible for the coordination of the project. She had to coordinate getting someone out to do the measurements then she took the measurements back. She talked them through it and knew enough about the process to ask the right questions to challenge if they factored in enough of waste and if they thought about all the trim molding. She also explained the differences in adhesive. She wasn't always trying to upsell me. She was trying to help us get the best outcome. She’d say, “Here's where you can probably be more conservative and here's where I probably would pay more.”

This is a 22-year-old home and we were ripping up some flooring that was already in here and it was going on a slab. We had to put some leveling and plan on some leveling of cement to make sure that the floor was gonna be flat before they could install it. That's what she made an estimate on. As they went along, there were some adjustments to some of the quantities that we had estimated. But she was very upfront with it and if we had any unopened boxes at the end, we could return them. They came and got them, and we got credit for it. LL Flooring wasn't the cheapest option that was out there, but you sometimes get what you pay for. I'm pleased with how everything turned out.

Stay far away. They stuck me with 2 gentlemen who didn't speak English, I don't speak Spanish so a lot of what I needed didn't happen. They tore up my baseboards, carpet was so poorly nailed, it started coming off the floor in less than 2 months. But then, like they do, they declared bankruptcy so they didn't have to pay what they owed or honor their warranties. Naturally, they're back in business again, looking to see who they can rip off.

Ordered and paid for products. They knew the order was incomplete said nothing. During installation we notice we are missing pieces. Called the store, they acknowledge the paid for order but stated they didn't know where the missing components were. This started the blame game, distribution, lost order, computer issues, etc. This went on for nearly 2 weeks. Complaining to local store was useless. Called corporate. I was told I should expect these issues. Ridiculous. Zero customer service.

Purchasing the flooring for my new home seemed to be easy, the salesmen seemed knowledgeable and understood what we were looking for. Less than 2 years after install, the floor is cracking in 9 separate boards and the company refuses to honor their warranty in any way. Don't waste your money on subpar product or the people that peddle it.

Lumber Liquidators LL Flooring Installation Review - Buyer Beware. On November 27th, 2022, we had Lumber Liquidators install new flooring in our home. Following their instructions, we brought the flooring inside to acclimate on October 16th, 2022, and removed all furniture from the rooms on October 28th, 2022, in preparation for the floating floor installation. Unfortunately, just one year later, we are experiencing significant problems with the flooring. The floor has separated in multiple areas, and in one spot, it has chipped and broken apart quite severely. We had a contractor assess the damage, and the repair cost for just one of the damaged areas is estimated to be thousands of dollars.

I have absolutely no confidence in the installers Lumber Liquidators uses. Despite the clear issues, Lumber Liquidators has evaded responsibility, passing the blame onto others. I was told they are not liable for the problems. Based on this experience, I do not recommend using Lumber Liquidators for flooring installation. Furthermore, given their evasive behavior and unwillingness to take ownership of the poor installation, I would not even purchase flooring from them again. It's clear they do not adequately oversee the quality of work performed by their contracted installers. This experience is a prime example of "buyer beware." Everything may seem fine initially, but be prepared for potential problems down the road, especially after the one-year mark. Our floor looked great until it started falling apart. I strongly advise potential customers to consider other options.
