Lifeway Mobility products

Lifeway Mobility offers products to make your home easier to live in. Whether you have a straight or curved staircase, indoor or outdoor stairs or a wheelchair you need to get up the stairs, Lifeway Mobility has products to help.

Straight stair lifts
At the time of publishing, Lifeway Mobility offers the following models:
  • Bruno Elan: This battery-operated lift has a weight capacity of 300 pounds. It has continuous charge strips, obstruction safety sensors and a padded swivel seat that can flip up along with its armrests and footrest.

  • Handicare 1100: This lift's 80-degree swivel seat can be manually or power-operated. Safety sensors stop the lift from running over obstacles, and brush heads on the rail clear dust. It comes with textured footrests, two remote controls and a retractable seat belt. Its weight capacity is 309 pounds.
  • Handicare 1000: This stair lift can be used indoors or outdoors. Depending on the model and seat selected, its weight capacity ranges from 300 to 440 pounds. It comes with multiple safety sensors and a retractable seat belt.
  • Savaria K2: This battery-operated lift has a weight capacity ranging from 300 to 350 pounds, depending on the angle of the stairs. Safety features include a seat that swivels and locks, a retractable seat belt, an anti-slip footrest and obstacle sensors.
  • Harmar Pinnacle SL600: This lightweight model has a weight capacity of 350 pounds and a height-adjustable seat. Safety sensors prevent issues or hitting obstacles. In the case of a power outage, this chair can continue operating for up to 40 trips.
  • Harmar Pinnacle SL600HD: This model is similar to the SL600, except it has a weight capacity of 600 pounds. A retractable seat belt and a key lock are available as optional features.

The Bruno Elan and Elite models are also available to rent.

Curved stair lifts
At the time of publishing, Lifeway Mobility offers the following models:
  • Bruno Elite Curved: This lift is battery-operated, and it comes with two wireless remotes. It has obstruction sensors, a swivel seat and a weight capacity of 400 pounds.
  • Harmar Helix: This model is built with a dual-style steel rail. It works with standard 90- or 180-degree turns as well as spiral staircases. There are charging stations at the top and bottom to keep it charged when not in use. It has a weight capacity of 350 pounds.
  • Handicare Freecurve: This single-tube lift comes with features such as a retractable seat belt, a swivel seat, top and bottom charging stations, and two wireless remotes. It has a weight capacity of 275 pounds.
  • Savaria Stairfriend: This battery-powered, dual-rail model is designed for both curves and landings. It includes a swivel seat and obstruction sensors and has a weight capacity of 350 pounds.
  • Handicare 2000: The Handicare 2000 is a twin-rail system that's custom built to fit snugly against your home's wall. You can choose between multiple rail color and seat options, and the company has an outdoor model available. The weight limit for the base model is 255 pounds, but a heavy-duty option can support up to 302 pounds.
Outdoor stair lifts
At the time of publishing, Lifeway Mobility offers the following models:
  • Bruno Elite Outdoor Straight: This model is designed to handle harsh weather, and it comes with a weather-resistant cover. It has all the standard features of other Bruno Elite models and a weight capacity of 400 pounds.
  • Bruno Elite Outdoor Curved: Like the straight model, this curved Elite is designed to deal with harsh weather. It also includes the standard Bruno Elite features and has a 400-pound weight capacity.
  • Harmar 350: This model comes with an aluminum track that’s designed to handle the elements, so it can handle temperatures from zero to 125 degrees. It mounts to the stairs instead of the wall and operates on standard 115 VAC household power. This lift has a 350-pound weight rating.
  • Hawle HW 11 Outdoor Curved: This lift comes with zinc-coated railing to withstand all seasons. This chair has a weight capacity of 350 pounds.
  • Handicare 1000: This stair lift can be used indoors or outdoors. Depending on the model and seat selected, its weight capacity ranges from 300 to 440 pounds. It comes with multiple safety sensors and a retractable seat belt.
Inclined wheelchair lifts
Inclined lifts use a platform to carry a wheelchair user over a flight of stairs. When not in use, the inclined lift can fold up so the staircase isn’t hindered. Lifeway’s offerings have a weight capacity of 550 pounds.

At the time of publishing, Lifeway Mobility offers the following models:

  • Savaria Delta: This lift can be used indoors or outdoors on straight staircases. It can travel up to 80 feet, and it’s ADA compliant.
  • Savaria Omega: This lift can be used indoors or outdoors on curved staircases, too. It can travel up to 164 feet, and it’s also ADA compliant.
Lifeway Mobility also offers used stair lifts, vertical lifts, elevators and a variety of non-lift accessibility products.

Lifeway Mobility stair lift costs

It's difficult to find specific prices because a variety of factors affect how much a stair lift costs. However, Lifeway does outline some average cost on its website:

  • Straight stair lifts typically cost between $2,200 and $8,000.
  • Stair lifts for curved stairs start at $11,300 and range higher, depending on stairway configuration, location and upgrade options.
  • Outdoor stair lifts start around $7,000.

For information on pricing for used stair lifts and rental options, you'll need to contact Lifeway Mobility for a free quote.

I, like many in our circumstances, are very distrustful of most companies these days that offer services to those most in need. There are way too many horror stories online or in the news about how this elderly or disabled person was taken advantage of. Having worked in retail for the last 36 years, 28 of that in management, I am well versed and aware of how people exaggerate or plain out lie about their experiences, so, I spent a great deal of time researching the companies that sold stairlifts before I reached out to Lifeway Mobility. On all sites, Lifeway Mobility ranked in the top 4, consistently for customer service and responsiveness. There were very few negative comments or posts and the ones I did find were generally related to what I mentioned above concerning my own experience over the last 36 years.

Anyway, I have been very pleased with my experience with Lifeway Mobility thus far. Daisy reached out after I filled out the online form and she was knowledgeable and answered all my questions. Daisy scheduled their salesperson Bill to come out and give us an estimate. He arrived at the time I was told he would arrive and was very thorough in his assessment of what we were asking for and what we needed. He was not pushy and did not try to drive us into a lift with "extras" we did not need. We were sold and signed a contract for a stairlift.

We were scheduled for installation and the installer Kevin showed up when we were told he was going to be here. He was very personable and did a great job on our installation. He spent almost 2 hours fine tuning our lift because it did not sound or feel right after the initial install. The folks at Lifeway Mobility were fantastic. Lastly, another reason, besides their great reviews and (thus far) great service, I purchased from them is because of the Bruno lifts they sell. Made in America, Wisconsin to be precise (not a political statement), Family owned, and founded by a veteran. I highly recommend Lifeway Mobility and Daisy, Bill and Kevin!

I wish I had discovered this company earlier in my parent’s mobility journey. I cannot recommend Lifeway Mobility enough! Debbie, Andy, and Troy were all instrumental in finding the right solutions that were feasible and affordable for our situation. They were so caring and supportive, making their only priority my dad’s comfort and safety. I never felt pressured into something more than we needed, and they were so accommodating to ensure everything was in place asap.

The amazing customer service only continued when I met Rustin and Johnathon today, the installers for a stair lift in the garage and a modular ramp with handrails into the sunroom. They literally were angels sent into our lives today. The space for the ramp was more complex than imagined, but they worked so well together and came up with one idea after another. They even made an extra trip back to the shop and back to the house to ensure we had the best solution in place. It looks perfect, as if it was built with the house and my parents couldn’t be happier.

Their workmanship was incredible. Their flexibility, communication, patience, and kindness was like nothing I’ve seen in years. They were so thorough and helpful in every way, my family can’t thank them enough. Lifeway Mobility reminds me of the good days when customer’s needs always came first, I haven’t seen customer service this good in years, actually it may be the best I’ve ever witnessed in my lifetime. Thank you Debbie, Troy, Andy, Rustin and Johnathon!

I had mounting concerns with mobility and difficulty navigating stairs and chose Lifeway Mobility for our stairlift. Initially, the installation was carried out well, with no issues from the team. They seemed knowledgeable, and I was impressed with their professionalism.

The lift itself is compact enough when the seat and arms are folded up, retaining ample space in our relatively wide staircase for others to pass by. So from a design perspective, it seamlessly integrates into our home without being too obtrusive.

However, the initial positive impression has been somewhat overshadowed by a recurring issue. Over time, the lift has become difficult to engage. I often find myself needing to jiggle the seat or hit the paddle several times to get it moving. This wasn’t the case during the earlier days, and as it's now happening more frequently, it's becoming a source of frustration for me. Although the stairlift has not ceased to function completely—a situation that would have prompted me to call immediately—it still poses an annoyance that hasn’t yet driven me to reach out to Lifeway directly, though I intend to.

Because of this complication, if I were to recommend Lifeway, I would advise potential buyers to be aware of this potential issue. Despite the inconvenience, the lift continues to make a significant positive impact on my daily life, enabling me to do activities I likely couldn’t manage otherwise.

For now, my overall sentiment is cautious optimism. If Lifeway can resolve these issues swiftly and efficiently, my inclination to recommend them would increase, but until then, I'll proceed with some reservations.

      Reviewed July 22, 2025

I went with Lifeway Mobility for a stairlift after facing challenges following a hip injury. It became essential as my lung disease worsened, causing difficulty with stairs. My research led me to Lifeway, especially after considering options locally available in Denver. I preferred a company with local support since, at that point, I couldn’t manage the stairs, risking access to my bedroom and bathroom if it needed repairs.

Lifeway's swift response was a crucial deciding factor because some others were either too expensive or did not offer the features I needed. Though my stairway is quite narrow, the Lifeway stairlift fits better compared to bulkier options like Bruno, which I felt wouldn't suit my stair space.

I am very pleased with the stairlift's performance. The only slight issue is that it doesn't fold as thin as I would like, which requires me to be cautious about backing fully against the backrest to avoid my knees hitting the rail. Maintenance is straightforward–I simply run a rag over the wires occasionally to prevent build-up which might cause it to stop.

This stairlift has been life-altering, allowing me to remain in my home and avoid the added cost and stress of relocating to assisted living or finding a new single-level home, which is out of my budget. It's been over a year, and Lifeway has exceeded my expectations.

I had been searching for a chair lift for some time, and my ex-son-in-law, who I'm very close with, had purchased one from Lifeway. I decided to have Lifeway come out a couple of years ago, though I wasn't in a position to buy it at that time. When we moved again and the need became more pressing, I was able to manage it with the help of my bank.

The sales representative was fantastic, introducing me to features I hadn't considered. As an amputee living in a two-story house, the stair lift was essential. She recommended the extension at the bottom, which I could lift to prevent trips—since we have grandchildren visiting—and also suggested a rotating chair at the top, which, considering my disability, was a great idea.

I think the stair lift is wonderful; it operates at just the right speed, and even my dogs like it. This product has significantly impacted my life, allowing ease of movement between floors in our home, which also includes an office upstairs. I can't imagine living in a two-story house without it.

Lifeway's follow-up service has been excellent as well; they've done repairs and a one-year checkup, showing me how to maintain the device. The price was very reasonable. Without my son-in-law's recommendation, I might not have chosen Lifeway, especially after a disappointing experience with another company requiring multiple credit checks.

Overall, I'm incredibly satisfied with Lifeway Mobility—it was a transformative and smooth experience.

We are very happy with our Lifeway Mobility stair lift. It is easy to operate ( once we got used to needing to fasten the seat belt before doing anything else, which is a good thing to learn to do) and we feel safer. Brandon, the installer, called when he was about half an hour away, and showed up on time. He competently assembled and installed the stair lift, explained its operation, and left us with a full instruction manual. We are very satisfied.
