Liberty Home Guard cost

Liberty Home Guard offers flexible payment options. You save money by purchasing an annual plan, but month-to-month plans are available.

Total home warranty costs vary by plan and location, so you have to request a custom quote to get the most accurate information.

Liberty Home Guard coverage exclusions

Liberty Home Guard warranties cover breakdowns caused by regular use and expected wear and tear of your appliances and systems. A warranty doesn’t cover damage caused by abuse or a natural event, such as a hurricane, tornado or earthquake. Here are items not covered by the company, according to a sample contract:

  • Routine maintenance
  • Improper installation, repair or modification
  • Commercial-grade equipment or systems
  • Professional or luxury appliances
  • Flues, vents, chimneys and exhaust lines
  • Electronic, computerized or smart components
  • Filters associated with covered items
  • Cosmetic defects
  • Items under manufacturer recall or safety warning
  • Costs related to refrigerant recovery or disposal

Liberty Home Guard claims process and coverage limits

You can file a claim with Liberty Home Guard 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year online or over the phone. You can track the status of your claim from your account online.

Once you’ve submitted the request, Liberty Home Guard notifies a local technician. This service provider will work with you to schedule an appointment when convenient. Typically, you’ll have someone there to make repairs within 24 to 48 business hours.

Coverage limits

Liberty Home Guard's coverage limit is $2,000 per covered item and resets every year. Diagnosis and repair/replacement is limited to $500 for plumbing, electrical and optional items. It's also limited to $250 within the first 90 days of your coverage.

Liberty Home Guard has an extensive network of licensed contractors nationwide to complete home repairs, and each repair comes with a 60-day workmanship guarantee.

Liberty Home Guard Mobile

Liberty Home Guard Mobile, the company’s mobile app, lets you manage your home warranty from one place. The app lets you file claims and gives real-time updates on their progress and is available on iOS and Android.

The app also lets you make and keep track of payments, connect with the company’s technician to get immediate assistance or schedule service or access troubleshooting tips and resources.

    I have two properties and I’ve been using Liberty Home Guard for years. I was with another company and their customer service had language barriers and slow response times, while my encounters with Liberty Home Guard have been much better, efficient and prompt.

    One notable memory with Liberty was around two years ago when they assisted with an electrical issue. We had lost the remote for an outside light on a fan, and Liberty not only corrected the issue but even installed an alternate solution. Since then, we've faced no problems with it.

    However, a plumbing issue wasn't as smoothly resolved. When our toilets weren't flushing, the technician sent was quite far away and his attempts to fix the problem, including pouring vinegar, didn't address the issue. Despite the inconvenience, we didn’t follow up with Liberty and have made peace with the current situation.

    In terms of overall experience, I'd rate them around a 4 out of 5. Their customer service and the quality of repairs have been commendable, especially when they acted swiftly during an emergency with our garage door. The process of requesting service, either online or through a representative, has been relatively easy, though sometimes there's a delay in notifying us when someone is assigned which does get a bit annoying.

    Pricing-wise, they regularly provide new deals, and for the price, I'd also rate them as a 4 out of 5. I'm extending their coverage to another property, which will result in three total under their protection, which is a testament to my satisfaction.

    Their website and app, for the most part, offer a convenient user experience despite the communication delays. Overall, Liberty Home Guard has proven dependable, and I've decided to continue with their services for my expanding property needs.

      However, one of my main concerns is the expertise of the technicians provided. In one or two instances, the technicians were not well-versed in handling the issue, which honestly, was a bit of a hassle. This doesn't happen frequently, but it's an area where I'd like to see some improvement.
