Not three years old started making so much noise I feared a fire hazard. Could hear it all over the house. CF E code noise stopped. Repair next week. CRAFT ice maker replaced three times. 5 star design with 2 star engineering.

We bought a LG refrigerator in Oct. I like the way the ice maker didn't take up a lot of room and that it had two freezer drawers. I also wanted filtered water so that I didn't need bottled water or a separate water filter. Ever since I got the refrigerator, the water tasted horrible. I've called LG customer service multiple times. They blamed the filter and the water line. We've changed both 3 times. They said to get a plumber because the problem must be with our water. It wasn't. They plumber said it was with the filtration system because the filter won't click in and no water comes out of the filter. LG's response, we'll sent another filter. LG has the worse customer service of any company I've dealt with. Don't buy from this company!

The Temp Sensor stopped working days after the 1 yr warranty! I paid thousands for this defective refrigerator and now have to spend $400 to replace the sensor! Don't buy LG. Whirlpool is now not great either. The more we pay for a fridge the more it breaks down. Companies are just screwing us now so they can make $$$. Hundreds in lost food! We are totally disgusted. Go back to a simple fridge and save $ and time.

If I could, I will give zero stars for product and service. This has been the worst experience with a new product i.e. refrigerator. I bought the refrigerator at Home Depot exactly 18 months ago. A couple of weeks ago I found my kitchen floor next to the refrigerator full of water, I looked around and notice that the water was leaking from the door ice maker, when I opened the door, I noticed an error message displayed lE and to call LG tech support. When I called, I was asked to provide a credit information for a charge of $450 since the one-year warranty has expired, since I wanted it fixed, I did.

They scheduled a tech to come over and fix the problem and they mailed out a part to me. When the tech showed up, and when he tried to replace the part he couldn’t since it was the wrong part, that same scenario repeated itself one more time. I received the wrong part and supposedly another part was ordered and I received a text to confirm an appointment on Dec. 24. I did but no one has showed up so I tried to reschedule and got a text that it was set up for Dec. 27. I still don’t know why I must pay for a faulty part within an expect reasonable time of purchase of a new product.

Avoid LG Products! Here's Why: I’m sharing my experience to save others from the nightmare we’ve endured. Over three months ago, while my wife and I were out of town, our LG refrigerator broke down, causing us to lose all our food. When we returned, we contacted LG and discovered that part of our 5-year-old unit was still under warranty. LG scheduled an appointment with one of their authorized service companies, A-Fix Service. Over a span of 1.5 months, A-Fix canceled on us twice and sent out three different technicians, none of whom could fix the fridge. Frustrated, I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau (BBB) in New Jersey, where LG USA is headquartered.

Following this, LG sent one of their own technicians. After three visits, the fridge finally worked—though only for a week. By then, LG had assigned me a special customer service representative. When I reported that the fridge had stopped working again, the representative claimed the issue was due to a rodent infestation and insisted we call pest control. Though this claim was absurd, I complied. Pest control confirmed what I already knew: there were no rodents in my home. Despite this, I demanded LG send a different technician. This time, LG sent another authorized servicer, who managed to get the fridge working. But, like before, it only lasted a week.

At this point, I informed both LG and the BBB that it was clear the unit could not be repaired and requested a full replacement. Four days later, the LG representative informed me that the last technician had reported a roach infestation and that my case was closed. This was completely untrue, and now, my fight continues. The only reason I haven’t replaced this refrigerator is because of how unjust this situation is. As an advocate, I want LG to be held responsible. I will keep fighting and sharing my story to ensure no one else has to go through this.

We purchased LG French door 5 years ago and have loved it until 5.2 months later it all of sudden stopped cooling, both top and the freezer section. After spending numerous hours with LG customer service, we come to find out no one can service and replace the compressor in our area. Some repair companies refuse to work with LG and some are not certified. So far LG is not sending us (consumers) the compressor without a certified technician available. So we are pretty much stuck with huge appliance that doesn't work properly. 1 repair company from 2 hours away said even if they come out and they send the compressor, the warranty doesn't cover the other parts and labor and they usually run $1500 to 2100. Do not buy LG, after asking customer service a buy-out option they are not fixing our French door light up fancy fridge with water dispenser and all because no one can service!

Our LG refrigerator's compressor stopped working in December 2024. Bought it in April 2021. We called up LG customer service, spoke to Leo and received excellent assistance in getting our compressor fixed. He sent us a text requiring a receipt and a picture of the refrigerator label, told us how to obtain the receipt (we bought it from Home Depot) and informed us that someone was going to contact us. Later on the same day, an authorized appliance repair company, Total Appliance Solutions contacted us to set up an appointment for the next day.

A technician came as scheduled (even called before arriving), replaced the compressor on the spot and gave us a follow up call the following day to ensure that the refrigerator was cooling. We had thought that it would have taken longer between setting up the appointment and getting the parts to repairing but pleasantly surprised that the process was fast, efficient and smooth, in 2 days I had a working refrigerator back. Fingers crossed, hope the new compressor would last us another few years! Overall, from beginning to end, we had excellent service that exceeded our expectations!!

Control panel malfunctioning. Can't change functions. Can't get water. Rings incessantly at times. Called LG tech support because it is within 1 year manufacturer warranty. Requested service. 3rd party tech cancelled the service and nobody told me. I called back LG customer support and found out it was cancelled. They rescheduled for 2 weeks later. Took the day off. Nobody showed up in the 4 hour window. Called LG and was informed that it was rescheduled for a week later without any notification. Now it has been escalated to their presidential liaison who they promised would call me. Zero confidence. I wish I had called a professional appliance repair company and paid out of pocket!

Purchased a LRFCS29DS in August of 2023. All was well until I was wiping front today and a finish started to peel off (not the plastic protection when new). This is a print free refrigerator and I think that finish is what is peeling. Can't be sure of that, as all the customer service rep could say was, "Over one year old to expensive to fix, you will have to live with it or purchase an extremely expensive new door.". How can these places not back their products - they charge plenty they should stand behind them. Beware if you are looking to buy an LG refrigerator..

LG customer service is beyond terrible to put it nicely. I had an issue with a refrigerator (one that MANY others have had) and it took them forever to fix the problem. Then, they as a company didn’t even reimburse for the life saving medication and food loss I experienced. I will NEVER buy from this company again.
