Bought new GE washer 7/1/2023. Jan. 2025 The bolt that holds the agitator on rusted out and broke off inside the transmission shaft and now the agitator does not stay on the transmission shaft. Seems to be a common problem as I have seen reviews from others experiencing the same exact problem. Very poor design and workmanship! The bolt can't be removed because the head of the bolt has snapped off due to rust. Only 1 1/2 years old.

We purchased this GE washer after returning an LG washer thinking that Made in the USA would be better. WRONG!! It has been a disaster. Had GE Service twice and the issue is still unresolved (the 20 year old LG works better). If you only have 1 item in the washer, for example a queen bed sheet, it will not spin. The water remains in the twisted, knotted sheet at the bottom of the washer. In order for it to spin all of the waster out of the sheet you must manually either twist the water out of the sheet or use a 1920's clothes ringer. Pretty sad for a high tech, modern, App ready machine. As the return period is only a week, we are stuck with this unacceptable washing machine.

The 5th load I ran in the washing machine somehow snagged on the door seal shredding the throw pillow and the rubber seal. When I returned the set, there were 3 other people's sets returned in the open box section of the store. The delivery guys said they have been picking them up all week, this machine needs to be recalled.

Worst washer to ever own. I would never buy this brand ever again. My top load washer has been a nightmare to fix it. Three times and still does not work. It spins and ends cycle. I had multiple technicians come out to attempt to fix it and nothing yet.

I purchased a GE Profile Model #- PTW605BSR1WS almost a year ago. I can’t believe the good reviews people submit on GE’s website of this washer! I’m 59yrs old used a few washers in my life. **Buyer BEWARE**!!!! VERY loud/twists&tangles clothes like they're knotted/80% of the time I have to balance machine myself (any size load)/water level ridiculously low/agitator barely rotates clothes top items are half wet & dry 1/4 of wash cycle before agitation pulls them down. Worst washer I have ever used in my entire life!

Purchased GE Front Load Washer March 2024. Appears control panel has gone out on 9 month old washer. GE service department scheduled service. I have to WAIT almost a MONTH for service! Lowe's extended service is effective after manufacturer warranty expires. DO NOT PURCHASE GE appliances unless you are willing to wait.

I just bought a new one and it acts out of balance and doesn't finish spinning most loads. I've tried small loads and big ones. I've been washing clothes for 30 years and do NOT recommend this product. Very disappointed. The repair man came out and said nothing wrong with the machine and he has many other customers with the same issue. Unable to return to Lowe's or I most definitely would. Do NOT waste your money!!!

My wife and I bought a GE profile washer and dryer less than a year ago. Top of the line. I began cutting itself on and only way to turn it off was to unplug washer. A GE repairman had no idea what to do. Another service came and replaced the electrical panel internally. Took care of it for a while, but the problem started again. Motor started running and no lights on the front to turn it off. Had to unplug it again. Have had repairman back out 3 more times and he reports to GE nothing is wrong with our expensive washer. GE refuses to replace this lemon we got and just do not care. GE is another example of how businesses take your money and when you have problems, they DO NOT CARE. Beware of buying anything GE. If you buy anyway, I've tried to warn you!! These people are crooks and make crap to sell!!

I bought GE Profile Top Loader washing machine and dryer 6/23. We bought GE Profile appliances in years past and assumed they were still as good. We were wrong. Even though we have been happy with the machine, overall, we are so extremely frustrated that during the drain and spin cycle it makes so much noise as the drum hits the sides of the washer. I'm talking noise so loud we can hear it at the other end of the house and even in the garage. There is no way I can do laundry in the early morning when my son is still sleeping. If I wash a blanket or a few rugs, on really any cycle, it makes noise during the drain and spin cycle. I've had to use that cycle a few times before the clothes are dry enough to out into the dryer.

We have contacted GE a few times and no one has been able to fix the noise. One repairman said the parts are made cheaply overseas and that there is nothing more they can do. Today, 1/9/2025, we purchased a new GE Profile front Loader. We had no choice but to get another GE washer as we bought the blue and wanted a matching set. Hopefully the front loader will be better. So what are we doing with our 1.5 year old washer? We want to junk it, but will probably give it away to keep it out of the recycling center. We were going to originally purchase LG. Guess we made the wrong decision.
