2 year old GE built in microwave interior light goes out. Guess what, you can’t change it as a regular user. Someone needs $300 later, the piece of $hit bulb is replaced, at 65% of the cost of a new unit. Criminal.

Purchase a GE Adora microwave from Home Depot in 2021. It was installed in a secondary kitchen and used very sparingly. This year the first keypad/control panel issues started to happen. Not all the buttons would work. Initially, the problems would correct themselves. This didn't last long. Eventually the keypad failed completely and the microwave doesn't work as a result. I've looked for a replacement panel only to discover that the part is no longer manufactured or available. GE has not responded to any of my inquiries about this. At this point, the only option is to toss the GE Adora and replace it with a quality product. The GE Adora microwave is a complete waste of money.

We bought a GE Microwave. It blew up, literally in our home. We were promised a refund check if we bought a GE replacement Microwave. We did, they sent a certificate, we sent back the proof and the certificate, they claimed they couldn't take a scan via email. After 6 months, ten calls by us, they still claimed they never got it. After we called and resent it - by email!! They sent a certificate that expired in literally 2 days from the date received. A month later still no word. These are the WORST service people. NEVER buy a GE appliance.

I purchased three GE appliances between 2022 and 2023: a 27" Smart Wall Oven, an Advantium Microwave Oven, and an Adora Dishwasher. I chose GE based on its reputation for quality — but I’ve been deeply disappointed. All three appliances failed within a short period of time. The dishwasher needed a new drain pump. The oven started throwing a fault code (F350), which I temporarily fixed by replacing the temperature sensor — only to have the problem return, now requiring a control board. The microwave stopped working entirely, and even after replacing the interlock switch twice, it remains nonfunctional.

I contacted GE's Consumer Relations department and was told that because I’m outside the manufacturer’s warranty and no GE technicians are available in my area, I’d have to accept discounted parts or appliance pricing as a resolution. I made it very clear that I would not invest more into broken GE appliances, especially when two are still unusable. GE repeatedly offered part discounts I had already declined and ignored the real issue: the appliances don’t work and they’re not standing behind their products. This experience has completely eroded my confidence in GE. Their “highest level” of support amounted to nothing more than part coupons and apologies. I will never buy another GE product again and strongly advise others to look elsewhere.

Bought house with over the range GE microwave, dated June ‘21. It’s barely been used because the house was empty a year & we only live here part time. After 3 years it just stops working. Then it starts again for a random time & stops whenever. I called GE repair/warranty and they said there is only a one year warranty and gave me numbers of people that will fix it. They won’t offer to pay anything or do anything to help with their complete trash product. It’s incredible when I compare it to the other appliance companies I have called that stand behind their product. I will never buy a GE and will make sure that anyone I know will hear about my problems with that company and their product.

Manufactured on May 2021. Now in the garbage. Microwave was a joke. 3 years old and just went black making a horrendous arching noise. Cheap China crap!!! All throwaways now. Why is there no more quality control.

Do not buy. The microwave that I purchased (over the range) has a maximum cook time of 8 minutes before it shuts down. Then I have to climb up on a chair, unplug it and resume cooking. I'll never buy another GE appliance again!

We purchased a GE over the stove microwave model JVM3160RF5SS in February 2020. In January 2024, it started having issues that seem to be arising from the door. Sometimes, we would close the door and the fan and the light would come on even before we had entered any cook times. At other times, we would enter cook times, and the fan and light would come on, but no cooking would happen. We had the door switches replaced, and the microwave worked for a month, and the problem has recurred.

I have a brand new house and the GE microwave over the stove was included. It is by far the worst microwave I’ve ever had. The turntable is always coming off the axis and it is very difficult to get it back on track because there are just a couple of bumps in the base that the turntable is supposed to clip to. If it wasn’t built-in already, I would definitely purchase a different brand and I wouldn’t be surprised if I didn’t actually do that in the near future because I hate it that much.

Bought model Jvm6175bl1ts April 2021 for my new house and it worked beautifully. Chose it because I always had them in my apartments and never a problem. That should have been a warning. Now the thing is smoking. Took it down and removed cover. It’s the transformer. I’m not spending more money to fix.
