Model DYF42SBIWR side by side Dacor refrigerator's 3 years old fan is out. Third repairman sent by American Home Shield does not know if he can repair or WHEN & IF he can get parts. The filter is so hard to replace. I pulled out the screws trying turn twist and push and pull. I hired it replaced before. All I can say about this Dacor is it looks nice in the kitchen but no one can work on it. Ugh!

Purchased HGPR36S/LP on 01/2021 for new house. I have 2 stove top burgers that will not light and the thermostat for the oven is completely off. When cooking baked goods it will undercook and most time overcook. Contacted Dacor for thermostat replacement part and was told they no longer make the part. Looked all over the internet with no luck for replacement part. I have a 4 year old gas range I now need to replace because I can longer buy a thermostat for it.

I loved my Dacor 36" gas range until I didn't. Their knobs are super flimsy and turn on with a light bump. A few weeks back, my dog set my kitchen on fire trying to get to food left on the stove. In 5 minutes, the entire house filled with smoke and ceiling high flames. Had my husband not been home to put this out, we would have lost all our pets and our house. While I love the look, the knobs are impossible to fit with knob protectors. Prior to this incident I had bought several options (even though I do not have kids in the house anymore) and not a single one fit. I opened an incident report with Dacor and they basically did nothing. I do not recommend this appliance to anyone with pets, kids, two arms or a body. Very disappointing.

I was really happy when my kitchen was remodeled and I brought a Dacor oven/microwave combination wall unit. After spending over $8000.00 expected it to last!!! The unit is 6 years old. The motherboard was replaced last year and yesterday the oven stopped working again. The warranty on the parts are only for 30 days. Just because you paid more does not mean you got a better quality. Please beware!!

We purchased the Dacor dual oven (gas/electric) back in 2001 and just last week the oven decided to conk out on us. We’ve had it all these years and ever had a complaint or issue with it! We’re going to see if it can be repaired and, if it proves to be too costly or parts are no longer available, we will look at other models as Dacor’s appliances nowadays are too costly.

Purchased 36" induction cooktop in Feb 2024. Worked great for 6 months until center module (control panel and center burner) died. Repair tech came out and replaced computer module that controlled this and got working again. Apparently, during this repair, he adversely affected the pan sensor on the right side burners. The burners fail to recognize a pan, or do so and cut off in the middle of cooking. Dacor has sent technicians twice to repair without success. The first time, the tech couldn't repeat the issue even though I have video proof. I was billed for a non-warranty service call. The second could reproduce but once he cut power to look, not find anything, cut power back on, the issue wouldn't reproduce. At that point he was at a loss and left without a solution. At this time, I'm done with Dacor. I'm currently building a new house in the mountains and Dacor won't be considered when we're furnishing the appliances.

In 2017 we bought all Dacor during kitchen remodel. The 36" SS fridge had to be replaced because wheel adjuster broke, then 2 years later the door hinges began to fail, door was scraping against pull out freezer. Repaired under warranty but fridge was leaning and could not fit the trim, Dacor said no to fixing the lean. After more out of warranty issues we scrapped the fridge and bought a sub-zero. 2025 the 48" range thermostat failed, NO REPLACEMENT PARTS EXIST for an 8 year old range!! I will scrap this range and replace with Wolf.

Nothing but problems the entire time! Bought their top of the line fridge and freezer from Coast in Vancouver BC in 2020, there were bad reviews but they assured me Samsung bought the company and all the products are better quality now. The fridge started not holding temperature and sitting around 10 - 12c. Called Dacor. They sent a repair company, they recommended replacing the cooling unit but Dacor sent someone to weld the line. Worked for another 6 months then wouldn't hold temp again. This has gone on for 4 years. Problem was never fixed. They keep saying out of warranty but they never fixed from the start. It's been serviced about 4 times now. Says they provide luxury experience but it's more like a 2 out of 10. This fridge should have been replaced the repair company said from the start. Dacor, get on top of your products!

A year ago we decided to replace our Samsung refrigerator. There was absolutely nothing wrong with it. We just wanted a new one. We was going to move the Samsung to the garage and make that one the back up. (My beer fridge) Went to Best Buy and that's where we learned that Samsung has a high end refrigerator called Dacor. Had never heard of it up until then. We liked it, we bought it, couldn't wait to get it delivered. A few weeks later it was delivered. Out to the garage the Samsung went.

Now fast forward about 6 months. We start noticing a bunch of small dents across all 4 doors of the Dacor. Some high end I told my wife! I went out to the garage and tried to find a single dent on the Samsung, and nothing. Not one dent on it. We called Dacor and they tell us it only comes with a 30 day cosmetic warranty. Go figure. We then start to look at reviews and there they are. Lots of them with dented doors. You would think for a $3500 fridge that it would come with better doors. At least that's what the salesman told us.

Now, fast forward a couple of more months and we notice water leaking from under the left crisper drawer. I open the drawer and notice a thin layer of ice forming under it. I peel the ice away and throw away in the sink just to have another layer form again a few days later. So, on the phone with Dacor again. Get an appointment with a local appliance repair center. A few days later they come out and replace a part and it appears to be fixed.

Fast forward a month later. Now the freezer is making a horrible noise making ice. After looking in the trays after ice drops, there is some ice cubes and some water in the trays. Here we go again. On the phone with Dacor yet once again. And here comes the same repair place out to our house again to fix the broken fridge. We are 15 months into a 24 month warranty period with our Dacor refrigerator. Something tells me I will be on the phone with Dacor again in the next upcoming months. And when the warranty is up, my Dacor will be at the curb replaced with a different brand fridge!

We purchased our Dacor oven in April 2016. Since Dacor appliances are made in the United States, it is difficult to submit an unflattering review, however, we have not had a good experience with the appliance or with the company’s efforts to help us to solve our problems. One of the first things I noticed was that two of the sliding racks were missing a screw. Four screws attach the racks to the device containing the roller bearings which enable the rack to slide easily in and out. Two of our four racks with the roller bearings were missing a screw.

We had to get adjusted to our new oven, as one might need to adjust to any new appliance. Our first several efforts at baking resulted in overdone or burned food. Obviously, this convection oven cooks hotter than our previous oven, but this would simply be an ordinary adjustment that one would need to make whenever purchasing a new appliance. We noticed also that even when the oven was not on convection mode, a fan in the back continue to run, forcing heat from the rear of the oven.

The result was that bread, cakes, cookies, and other foods were overdone or burned on the backside. My wife made three phone calls to customer service at Dacor and the response, to put it kindly, was not helpful. A few years ago both of the oven lights in our upper oven stopped working at the same time. I replaced them, but the design was such that gaining access to the bulb socket was nearly impossible. First, they are placed in the front of recesses on the side of the oven so that it is impossible to see where your hand holding the bulb is going. Secondly, a rack is in the way so that one’s access to the light bulb housing is impeded. Thirdly, we had to buy four bulbs at a cost of $125.

Once I replaced the bulbs, they still would not light, and the Dacor assistance team simply conjectured that there must be a blown fuse somewhere in the oven. I attempted to troubleshoot this problem and found first, that the fuses are accessible only by removing the ovens from the wall. Secondly, one source online said that Dacor’s oven light bulbs are not even connected to a fuse. We have limped along with our Dacor oven for nine years, and even though it is still working as it always has (not satisfactorily), we decided to replace it.

When the appliance store rep asked me for our model number I discovered that it is located on the inside of the oven, inside a grate through which one must shine a flashlight to be able to decipher one digit at a time. I finally determined that our oven model number is RNO227FS. Even this was accessible only with considerable difficulty. We have been disappointed with our oven and regret having to replace it, but we have lived with numerous design flaws in this appliance long enough.
