Chris from Culligan Dayton provided our service call today for our Culligan well water arsenic filter. After many months of zero As, our arsenic checks showed the levels slowly creeping up. Chris, in consulting with his company, set a more frequent back flush. And he has ordered more medium, which when replaced last year promptly brought us back down to zero (our original pre-treatment levels were 56-80 ppb). Our back up point of use RO filters keep us safe through possible fluctuations, but Culligan allows us to keep our high volume well safe for all uses. We trust Chris and Culligan to continue to manage our well water. We fully understand that the wells in Greene County and Southwest Ohio are prone to naturally high arsenic (both As 5 &3) from the makeup of the bedrock.

10/10 – World-class service, start to finish. I own a water jet machine, and from the very first call, Michael Nesheim immediately understood exactly what I was talking about. He clearly knows the technical side of the business, which made the entire process smooth and efficient from day one. What truly sets him apart is the follow-up. More than a year after the sale, Michael still answers every call and text promptly. That level of consistency, availability, and accountability speaks volumes about his professionalism and character. Real service doesn’t stop once the deal is done—and he proves that every time.

Culligan as a company has been consistently responsive, reliable, and easy to work with. The technician Fernando was equally impressive. He is extremely knowledgeable, takes pride in his work, and approaches everything with attention to detail. He carefully inspected each component, took his time, and explained the entire process step by step, making sure everything was done right and fully understood. This team represents what true professionalism looks like—before, during, and long after the sale. Reliable, knowledgeable, and committed to excellence.

I recently had to install a water softener system for my well water. I always had City water and never had a well before I purchased this house. I interviewed other companies about what I needed to have installed for my water system. They were very expensive. You can imagine my surprise when Dan ** (Vietnam Vet) did a free water test and he said you don't need this thing or that thing for my system. He sold me a basic system which was all I needed and really wanted. He told me If I desired anything more at any point it could be added. Then I met Doug ** who installed the system. Even though I tried to make his job easier for him to set up, he insisted on the best set up that fit the area of the installation rather than what was easier for him. I have been impressed by all the people from Culligan Water of North Central Ohio and I highly recommend them for any water needs you might need.

Today the install tech came and worked for hours setting up my water treatment install. The young man who did the install did a very professional job. He made sure all piping was straight and, supported. He took time to explain what he was doing and how each component worked with the others. He answered all my question, and gave me his cell number if I had any question in the future. David the salesman (who came out and tested my well water) showed me just how hard my water was and how much iron I had in the water. His scientific testing only proved what my cartridge filters were lacking. This system does it all...clean, clear, soft water. I recommend Culligan Water System to any one with your own well water.

I have had an outstanding experience with Culligan of Waukesha. The sales person I dealt with didn't pressure me at all, and answered all of my questions. I had been considering installing and maintaining my own system, but after hearing what he had to say, I changed my mind and went with Culligan. Long-term, it would be marginally cheaper to install my own system, but the break-even point was five years out, and the time and hassle of installing it myself was far outweighed by the convenience of the service Culligan offers. Speaking of their amazing service, about 3 months after my system was installed, my faucet leaked (not Culligan's fault or problem) and it triggered the shut off valve on the Culligan system. Even though it wasn't their problem, they had a service person there to fix the valve within 24 hours, and I wasn't charged for the service call.

I am handy, so I asked if the tech could show me how to fix the problem myself if it was to happen again. He graciously showed me how to fix it, and left some additional parts needed for the repair, again at no charge to me. Perhaps the most ringing endorsement I can provide is that I referred my mom to them, and she now has a Culligan system in her house too!

By the worst customer service and communication I’ve ever experienced. They are so fast to respond when you are interested in the system. From the time you buy it nothing but poor communication and customer service. No one knows what is going on. Plus given 3 months of service free then every month get a bill then have to call and explain every month. Also the cost is ridiculous and a lot of hidden aspects. We were told we would get 6 months no payments interest free. Well nope. That didn’t happen. This is the most expensive and worst company I’ve ever done business with. I will give a review everywhere I can because if I know what I know now I would have never trusted this company. I have told all friends and family and will never recommend this company to anyone. They need to be investigated for poor business practices.

Culligan salesman Armando ** stopped at our new house on about Feb 20, 2026, don’t let him waste your time; 1.) Pepe LePew stunk up my house with a cheap pungent cologne like dead skunk on a rainy night. Goes to immediate hard sell! 2.) Plays with monthly numbers even if you want to just buy outright - INSISTED on doing a water test, I said No. It’s a new subdivision, likely best water yet, just water spots, began with $16,000 down to $7,000 IF I bought next 5 minutes, don’t fall for it. 3.) For stinking up my house, used my bathroom before he left - save yourself, shut the door on him, period! Young dope spent more time looking at my Corvette & motorcycle. Wasted time I won’t get back!

I received my bill today. SHOCK! They charged me $144.00 trip charge, + $145.00 labor charge for less than an hour work to change three water filters. Then $2.00 Statement fee and if I pay with a credit or debit card another $18.00. I expected to pay extra for purchasing the filters from them, but $515.11 total bill is OUTRAGEOUS.

Culligan author review by Greg Chick

Culligan got its start in 1936 and is now the leader in home water delivery as well as in-home, commercial and industrial water filtration and treatment services. It is different than most water delivery services because it doesn’t make or bottle the water it delivers; instead, Culligan specializes in water treatment systems and softeners. Water delivery services from Culligan start at $9.99 per month.

      • Flexible schedules: You can set up a customized delivery schedule and arrange for supplemental deliveries if you need more water during specific months. You can also pause deliveries if you are on vacation.

      • Types of water: You can choose from several types of bottled water including water treated by reverse osmosis and filtered, distilled, spring and mineral water.

      • Coolers: Culligan requires you to buy or rent a Culligan cooler to use with your water jugs rather than using your own, but the cost of rental is included in the subscription plan. They will bring your cooler and install it when your plan begins.

      • Culligan Man: Culligan assigns an account representative called a Culligan Man to every customer. He or she will help you select the plan that fits your needs and help arrange a convenient delivery schedule.

      • 30-day guarantee: If you’re unsatisfied with your Culligan product or service within 30 days of your purchase, they’ll pick up the product and refund your money.

      • Specialty testing: The company is equipped for specialty water testing, which may be needed should a customer have access to a well or non-municipal water source.
