How does Vivint work?

    The sales rep Alex S. was pounding the pavement in the rain and we set up a time after most the kids were down for him to come back. He talked a lot about product but what sold us were the actual videos. Not only could we actually read license plates, we could get clear pictures of issues in real time, even from our phone from far away. We could help our neighbors and protect our homes at the same time. The ability for the cameras to detect all the audio was beyond incredible. I can allow the kids in and out or the babysitter and know who it is at all times. It makes me disappointed in our old service. We will never go back.

    The reality is the technology caught up but they are the only ones using it. Great sales rep Alex **. Young buck, calm, cool and always professional. Answered any and all questions and if he couldn’t he was able to get answers within seconds. The tech… man you talk about professional. Very helpful and insightful about placement of all items purchased. Explained everything to the last detail. Impressively got back up to help get the enormous job done faster and correctly the first time. (We have many small kids and they had lot of open timeframes that worked for us.)

    So the tech, Terry, got everything completed as to help us from wrangling them in the daytime which was a relief for our household. He was diligent but patient with me while I chose spots for the items. I’m just disappointed more ppl don’t know about this service and/or I wish I had heard about this company before now. We’ve had many incidents where we could have helped our neighbors with the quality Vivint is using now.

      Vincent stopped by while walking my neighborhood and I happened to be wanting an alarm system but had been putting it off because I knew it was expensive from the local bay alarm company that I’ve used in the past. After we walked the house for cameras I was stoked to learn I could get a thermostat garage door opener and doorbell camera all part of one complete system with the usual sensors and glass break and monitor that classic systems used. I was stoked to find out I could finance the whole thing with Vivint and the monthly price in my opinion was fine. Then he called a service installed and they came 10 minutes after all the paperwork was signed! I thought that was awesome!

      Sharita came over we went over everything again and decided we should get one more camera just in case. She was the coolest alarm installer I had ever met and was very kind, quick, and professional. Her coworker Michael came over to help finish the job more quickly and he was awesome helping me setup the garage door app before we link everything into one app. Once Sharita was finished she took the time to walk me through EVERYTHING and I mean everything and then ask if I had any questions or wanted to know about more features and I asked about zWave compatibility which it is compatible.

      They cleaned everything up, explained why they were leaving boxes in case something happened in the next 3 days, better safe to have the boxes and not need them. I think the price is perfect for the level of service I received on install it was amazing. And I’m very thankful for the summer team helping me out. It was so cool to hear about vivint's summer program for college kids I think that’s great. Thank you so much to Vincent, Michael, and Sharita for the awesome job and I feel a lot safer and secure with a vivint system in my home.

      The personality of Jackie and his pitch of services was pleasant and definitely made us want to sign up. Detailed description, listed differences between what we have and what Vivint has to offer. We very much appreciated the three free months of service, we could use the break and the no APR is definitely the cherry on top. The problem occurred afterwards. We woke this morning to two of our three dogs missing because our gate was left open. Now we thankfully found them eventually but I missed work, and the stress is still affecting our day today. Had to take our truck around for about two hours, found them, then when I left on my motorcycle I forgot to leave the truck keys for my lady to get to her job. So now she has to Uber to her job.

      On top of that, when I tried to determine if he left the gate open or not, I went to look at the footage and nothing was caught by the camera. I can understand the dogs not being detected but the technician was seen when he left last night. The representative got to our house between 6 and 7pm the tech didn't finish the install until 1130. We didn't mind but we have to work so we did mind but figured at least all the work would be done and done right instead of waiting this late for nothing. He had to work alone and it took him several hours. So we fed and hydrated them both. In addition, all the boxes were left with us in my living room. Now everything is hooked up and working but the lengthy process and my dogs, and the camera not detecting him leaving last night and the boxes, are all major inconveniences. I'm rethinking the commitment actually.

      My husband had answered the door and got some information that we would be interested in switching to Vivint from ADT. Some of the things that we addressed when I got off from work at 8pm, was that our doorbell camera was slow and no longer working, our doorbell did not work anymore either, and the back door of our house would never register the alarm, so we could actually never arm the house, fully. We had problems with the remote to the garage, among others. When the salesmen came in, he was so professional and so personable. I felt safe letting him inside our home and discussing what we wanted and didn’t need.

      My husband is raving about getting the solar panels for our energy bill to be stabilized, while I am excited to have the camera for the driveway and backyard. There has been some car theft going on, and having a toddler and my grandma that comes over to help, I want to feel protected when my husband is on nights. I like the feature of the light and that it will make the sound the most. I am also glad that the salesman told us about replacing our smoke detectors and CO2 detector every 10 years. Me being a nurse, and mom in general, I can’t wait to have new ones that I know I can count on now. I was impressed with the glass breakers, so of course we ordered those. And also the key fobs. I thought that was perfect for when my grandma comes with our toddler to spend the night because I have been having to wait for my dad to text me, when she is on the way, leaving 30-40 minutes of an unlocked door.

      Overall, the salesman was excellent, very well versed and trained, and was able to explain pricing and equipment costs. I was the MOST impressed with the 0% interest!! A few of our neighbors have gotten the system and I am so excited to tell them “thank you!” That night, the installation man came over to do what we could at 9pm. We told him if he could come back Friday since our toddler was sleeping, he said of course! He was very professional and nice. I can’t wait to see everything up and in action! Thank you so much to the salesman that came by and spoke to my husband that day!! I feel like this service is going to be a game changer for that feeling of safety for my whole family.
