    Manager sold us the wrong cards for our grandson. Would not refund the money. The manager was very eager to see the picture of what our grandson wanted but also very eager to sell us the wrong cards. The no return policy is not posted in store, on the receipt, or explained before purchase. Terrible customer service

    I recently purchased a new PS5 online with GameStop. I have had a very terrible experience. First the estimated delivery was 1 to 3 days. When it didn't arrive and the tracking showed it hadn't left the store the first thing I did was call the store that it was supposed to ship from to see what the hold up was and I was told that they had no way to look up my order in the system at all and that I should call USPS well I had already checked with USPS and they informed me that they had not received it. I then call customer service who can see that I've placed the order but have no idea where it is and that it was estimated as 3 to 5 days instead of the original estimate and the only solutions I was offered was to wait for it or a refund.

    After 7 business days and 11 days overall I went to my local store to see if they could help me since the package still hasn't left the store. When I got there they did look it up but had no information. I left and called USPS they said they didn't have it and that there was no way that it wouldn't have been scanned at all in 11 days. I then called the store it was shipped from again this time they did look up the order but said they had already sent it and they didn't have it. So I return into the store asking if I can speak with a store manager to resolve this. The store manager said that there was nothing he could do but issue me a refund and sell me one at the same price. Well GameStop has already taken my money a refund according to your policy can take up to a week.

    I don't have money to buy a second one and wait for a refund that is a lot of money. When I asked if he could call the district manager he refused saying he wasn't allowed to give his number out. I explained that I was not asking for him to give me the number but simply to use the store phone to contact them and see if they had the authority to resolve it. He refused to call anyone saying he wasn't allowed abd that he could email him. I have already waited almost a week and a half I don't want to wait for someone to stumble across an email and get back to me when?

    I left the store, called customer service, the only thing they offered was to escalate it to a team who could look into it but couldn't tell me how long that would take or when I would get my product. This is supposed to be a Christmas present for my husband which I had to work extra to be able to afford and now I don't know if I'll be able to give it to him. I feel as though my money has been stolen and no one wanted to help me just pass me off to the next person. I hope the company can improve their services because this does not make me want to be a customer.

      I went into my local New Port Richey, FL location in hopes to trade 2 iPads in for store credit. They did not accept either although on the website it showed they would. I asked if they could order the PS4 for me in store and they told me they don’t have access to online stock, but assured me GameStop had immaculate condition resell pre-owned items and to trust the process. I went home, ordered a pre owned gold PS4 with a gold controller as advertised/described. Website said shipping 1-3days, which meant they would ship it in 1-3 days not me receiving it in that time. *Sidenote: As I was waiting on my order I saw they decreased the price by $25 so I called customer service to ask them to honor that price. They refused. I told them I’ll order at that price and return the 1st one once received. After that call the PS4 showed available but not able to ship, then was no longer showing as a product at all. I feel it was blocked from my access.

      My order arrived 2 days later than expected. The PS4, controller, & wires were put loose in an oversized box with empty plastic in another box that had cushion around it literally securing a box inside a box but not securing the product. The PS4 was terribly scratched and visibly dirty from previous owner. How unsanitary and unprofessional! GameStop did not supply the cord to connect the controller in order to pair and they sent a blue controller, not gold. I called customer service who spoke over me and I don’t think understood English. Only had a script that did not address what I had said. Continues with offering a return with the same few sentences, no other option and no true acknowledgement or accountability for the issues. I will NEVER shop GameStop again. Very unprofessional in store and via phone to customer service.

      So I have been going to my local Gamestop for Pokémon drops, waiting hours prior to store opening... didn't like it- but I did it. I didn't mind the limits, that great from a collector standpoint... try and fight the resellers. But now GameStop is nothing more than a stupid reseller. They charged $70 over retail on my Pokémon box today!!!!! You can get them for $10 less off of Stock X!!! This is ridiculous, you are supposed to be a store for the customers to enjoy buying items from.... now I refuse to go back for any Pokemon or Lorcana, and I'm the type to buy whatever cards they let me when it comes to Pokémon. This is pure garbage, if you feel the need to charge over MSRP... then up to $10 extra is cool... you charged near double over MSRP. RIDICULOUS.

      Order a game online & it never came, ok cool? I’ll call customer service, majority of them are rude, talk over you, and to be honest don’t really comprehend. Took 3-4 calls each time each time to get a decent rep, on top of that you can barely understand any them. They give me the run around for a complete WEEK telling me “it’s processing". Keep in mind was only supposed to take 3 days to process (which what I was told in the batch of mixes answers from all idk how many people). Here it is almost 2 weeks later still haven’t heard or even gotten a email like I was told. They never reached out to me. I have to keep calling myself or I will not get an update. I will NEVER shop GameStop again & I wish we all would do the same. It’s time for them to go out of business.

      30 yr plus Gamestop customer no longer! My story is long and no one will want to read this so I'll try to shorten. So I ordered a graded Pokemon Wailord psa 10 card about a month ago. Let's just say it never came and they couldn't give me a reason. It was on their website, I ordered it but they said it was back ordered after 3 weeks but they had others listed on their website. After much back and forth I just cancelled and got my money back. Fast forward to 7 days ago, same card PSA 10 but now it was $40 more. I decided to try again and ordered card and paid more. This time it immediately went to packaged and shipped. Here I am today, still no card after it was promised delivery by 3 days ago. I emailed 2 times, no response? I created a report through their website, took all day for a response finally. They said it was stuck in shipping and possibly lost in transit but the USPS tracking said they never received it? What is going on here?

      I immediately check their website and yes they have 2 others so I Email them back and asked please just send me one of these (mind you they already took my payment a week ago). So they email me right back, acknowledge that yes there are 2 more for sale and continue to tell me that they are cancelling my order???? Excuse my language but WTF? This company is a joke! By the way I have proof of all of this and copies of their interactions! This is a disgrace of a company! They lost my business 100%.

      Customer service cancelled my service/replacement warranty when I called inquiring about my replacement console! Then they refused to reactivate it because it had been cancelled. Representative told me to take the replacement to a store and get a warranty there, well they don’t do that. Joke was on me. Then they refused to take the console for a return because it was out of the “days” If my warranty wasn’t cancelled without my permission or if I could get a warranty on the new console or just take the console back - it’s still in the original box and hasn’t been unpacked. Nope, would not help at all. I was hung up on twice. Request a supervisor, ha, they are all busy but will call you back. Still waiting. This is a joke of a company.

      First time reviewing on ConsumerAffairs, for the once beloved GameStop. Silent Hill f launch date 09/25/2025. Preordered over 1 month ago at my local store for the steelbook. GameStop even emailed ads on 09/24/2025 saying "Preorder now to get an exclusive steelbook". Went to the store as the first customer of the day, was informed that I'm the 3rd one preordered the game there, but they only got 2 in stock and will reserve for the 2 guys for 48 hrs. Ok I went to another store 25 miles away and was informed that they had 7 steelbooks which are first come first serve (irrelevant to the preorder date). Apparently this shitty company doesn't even know how to do marketing and operation. I was once a pro member for many years. Cancelled 2 years ago. Now I've permanently blacklisted their email and deleted their app. This company deserves to bankrupt.

      After being a long time customer I will not be returning. I purchased two remote controls that I was told I had 30 days to return due to my pro status. I go to return the two controllers which are both sealed and I was told they are not returnable because they are now on clearance. The store doesn't want to help and customer care just refers you back to the store. Sad.

      Went to Gamestop at 2705 Veterans Blvd in Kenner. On 9/18/25. I purchased 5 games. 1 of those games would not install completely. The other game was a Xbox series X, which is not compatible to my Xbox. Went back on 9/1925 with the receipt. I was told they could give me 5 dollars back on the one I purchased for 29.99 plus tax. The other one they can't do nothing about. Will never shop there again. Shared my story on Facebook, recommended going anywhere but gamestop. I am totally disappointed
