What is Hers?

Hers is a telemedicine service that offers free health assessments to help women access medication. Licensed medical professionals evaluate the assessments in their specific field and confirm that recommended treatments are correct for each individual. Hers specializes in areas of women’s health, including weight loss, mental health, sexual health, skin care and hair care. It also provides care for common ailments such as migraines, urinary tract infections and flu.

Hers availability

Hers is available nationwide, but its weight loss services aren’t offered in all states. At the time of publishing, weight-loss treatment is unavailable in:

  • Alabama
  • Alaska
  • Arkansas
  • Florida
  • Kansas
  • Louisiana
  • Mississippi
  • New Jersey
  • North Carolina
  • North Dakota
  • Oklahoma
  • Rhode Island
  • South Carolina
  • Vermont
  • West Virginia
  • Washington, D.C.

Weight loss services are also unavailable for military mailing addresses.

How does Hers work?

Hers offers 100% online access to its telehealth services. There are two ways to begin:

  1. Click “Get Started” on one of the images on the main page and follow the prompts. This method only works for weight loss, mental health and hair care, respectively.

    Or

  2. Go straight to create an account. Select “Login” in the top right corner of the home page and then “Create account”. Once you’re logged in, select “Subscriptions” at the top of the page, then “Find a treatment.” This method is best for users seeking care other than the main focus areas, such as migraine, acne or birth control. This method doesn’t work for weight loss, but you can visit the main page to reach that assessment.

Regardless of the method you choose to begin your journey with Hers, your second step involves a free health assessment. For instance, the weight loss assessment might ask questions like how much weight you want to lose and what methods you’ve tried before. It will also ask about your current symptoms, medications, diagnoses and family history, depending on the type of care you’re seeking.

After completing the weight loss assessment, a provider reviews your information and determines whether treatment is appropriate. You’ll select a shipment plan that fits your needs. Payment for your first shipment is due immediately, and once submitted, you can’t cancel.

Then, your assessment is forwarded to a medical professional licensed in your state for review. Once your treatment plan is approved, medication will be shipped to your door at no additional charge. If you aren’t prescribed medication, you’ll receive a refund.

Hers weight loss medications

Hers offers GLP-1 injections to help eligible patients manage their weight alongside diet and lifestyle changes. At the time of publishing, medications available through Hers include Ozempic and Wegovy.

Hers cost

At the time of publishing, Hers offers Ozempic starting at $1,799 per month and Wegovy starting at $1,999 per month.

Hers charges based on your shipping plan, or how often you receive medication. Shipment plans range from every four weeks to every 12 months. For example, choosing a three-month shipping plan results in charges every 90 days. Users who select the annual shipping plan receive a 180-day supply of medication at a time. Shipping is included at no additional cost.

Your initial payment covers the first shipment of medication and is due upfront. Once submitted, the order can’t be canceled. If a provider determines that medication isn’t appropriate, you’ll receive a refund.

After the initial shipment, if you want to cancel your subscription, you must do so at least two days before the renewal date. Medication ships 10 days prior to running out, so it’s a good idea to cancel as soon as possible when deciding to stop treatment.

Shipment plan choices vary based on your prescription(s). All shipment plans also include mobile app access and free shipping. Plans also include all check-ins, follow-ups and messaging with your provider. Picking a longer shipping plan provides a larger discount.

I would give negative stars if I could. This is the second time trying Semaglutide, and it was great the first time. This must be a bad product!! I had the worst skin sensitivity, I felt like I had a fever for weeks with no weight loss. All they said was it was a side effect and I should lower the dose. Do not spend your money with this company!!

Scammers. They make you pay a fee before they provide you medication and then suggest medication you don’t want and are not kind or helpful. Once you’ve paid the money they treat you like garbage and your money is just gone. Their customer support is horrendous reach and once you do, they are not helpful. There are so many better and more transparent brands. Do not use Hers.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. The medication does not work. Their practices of charging your card when you ask to cancel is very shady and deceptive. Your credit card company and bank will not side with you when you try and dispute the charge. If you try and cancel they will tell you that it's already been processed then ship in anyway and tell you missed the 2–3-day deadline to cancel, but you will not receive your full order.

Terrible company. They advertise things being FSA eligible but when you use your FSA card it won't go through and they act surprised and suggest a different credit card and advise you to seek reimbursement from your FSA. My FSA rejected my claim. Shortly after starting the drugs I went into app to cancel the subscription because it wasn't working for me and was making me feel terrible. I went through the multiple hoops in the app and thought my subscription was cancelled. But today I received an email that an order had been shipped out and I see my credit card was charged $400.

I immediately messaged customer service saying I had canceling it and do not want this order, but was told there was nothing they could do. I had to go through web browser to try to cancel again and saw that it was presented differently on the browser version. The website is weird and clunky and meant to not be helpful or easy to navigate towards cancellations. It's so frustrating.

I signed up for compounded semaglutide with Hers, then the following day I followed the steps listed on their FAQ to cancel my subscription and cancel any medication prior to processing. Under the guidance of my GP, I learned that bloodwork was essential before taking any GLP-1 medication including micro dose levels. 3 days after canceling my order and deactivating my subscription, I received an email from hers notifying me that my order was no being processed. How could this be?

I immediately reached out to their customer service team to alert them of the issue. I followed up multiple times explaining that I followed the instructions listed on their site on how to cancel my order and subscription, and that I took action in less than 24 hours of signing up and 3 days before the order was being processed and shipped. I did not want to be on the hook $$$ for a deactivated subscription and canceled order. Their customer service team was unable to do anything besides send a macro email on how to cancel a subscription. They never followed up with me to explain why my subscription was canceled, but my medication order was not. They never escalated my issue to a supervisor or manager. They continue to ignore my request for additional support. Frankly, they seem to operate outside of any standard support and safety protocols.

Absolutely terrible experience. They prescribed me a medication in a rush (less than 24 hours from me starting the process to shipping; this did not give me time to review the medication). When the medication arrived, I read the online guide before opening it. I saw that some of the side effects of the prescription were serious, and that they might pertain to me given my family history. I didn't open the box and immediately contacted them.

The upshot was that they did nothing to help me (even though this was a medically related issue). They refused to issue any refund, even though I said I could return the box unopened to show that I wasn't trying to get away with not paying for something. I tried several times to reason with them, and just got boilerplate language as a brushoff. I'm out $175, and they are smiling all the way to the bank. Don't bother. They don't care about your health, don't care about medication having serious consequences to you, and don't care about you losing money. Just don't bother.

I tried using Hers following a lot of postpartum hair loss after my first baby. After a couple months of using the product and seeing an extreme change in my menstrual, such as very heavy eight day long periods every 20 days, I fully stopped using the product and my period went back to normal. I attempted to log into my account via an Internet browser to cancel my subscription but became locked out of my account when I wouldn’t download the app to try to cancel my subscription. I messaged the company asking for it to be and they simply sent instructions which more or less said that I needed to download the app in order to cancel. The card that I had had file previously was lost and canceled so I figured between the two factors of writing to them asking for it to be canceled as well as not having a viable card on file mean that my next order would not come through.

However, they were somehow able to charge my account and I received three months of the that had been wreaking havoc on my physical and emotional well-being. I attempted to reach out to them and let them know about my horrible experience, but received no response in return. My husband has been a user of Hims for a long time and has had no negative side effects and also pays a much lower monthly rate for that product. For anyone considering using Hers, please don’t put yourself through this terrible experience. I absolutely would not wish it on my worst enemy.

Do not use this company!! Scam. I specifically asked for a GLP-1 and paid for 5 months upfront. I received every medication under the sun expect a GLP-1. I contacted them and asked to return the medication (didn’t even open any of the bottles) and to get the GLP-1 that I specified I wanted and they wanted double what I already paid for all this nonsense. When I asked why they offered me a GLP-1 and sent all this stuff instead there was no specific reasoning. They just want money and it’s sad.

🚨 DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY 🚨 This company is a complete scam. I paid $1,194.00 upfront for a six-month prescription plan. After taking my money, they only sent me ONE MONTH of medication. I NEVER received my second month prescription and have been given nothing but excuses ever since. You are NOT communicating with real medical providers. The entire system is automated. They will happily prescribe you six months of medication and take your full payment, but they cannot even guarantee you will receive what you paid for. Their only response has been “technical difficulties,” with absolutely no solution, no accountability, and no timeline for fixing the issue.

It gets worse… When I demanded a refund for medication I NEVER received, they refused. I was sent approximately $199 worth of medication, yet they have kept hundreds of dollars of my money for prescriptions they never delivered. This is beyond unacceptable. This is dishonest business practice. Do yourself a favor and research the legal complaints and lawsuits connected to this company before giving them your money. You’ve been warned.
