What is Sam’s Club Hearing Aids?

Sam’s Club offers hearing aid services at over 450 of its nearly 600 stores. You can schedule an appointment online for a free hearing test with a state-licensed hearing professional. If you need a hearing aid, this professional can help you select the best product for your needs.

Sam’s Club also helps with the initial programming and fitting, so you don’t have to figure it out alone. If you need further adjustments or repairs, you can take your hearing aids back to Sam’s Club for assistance.

The company has several different types of Lucid Hearing products. It also offers bulk sets of hearing aid batteries in multiple sizes.

Sam’s Club Hearing Aids products

Sam’s Club has five different hearing aids for sale. You can purchase over-the-ear or in-the-canal devices. It also has a variety of battery sets available.

Here’s a look at each hearing solution Sam’s Club offers:

  • Lucid Hearing OTC 10076 Engage Behind-the-Ear Hearing Aid Pair: Select Android or iPhone with this pair of hearing aids to stream Bluetooth calls directly into your ear. It has a clear sound without compression or modification.
  • Lucid Hearing OTC 10081 Enrich Hearing Aid Behind-The-Ear (single): Consider this over-the-ear model if you only need one hearing aid. It can fit comfortably on either ear. You can select between three different listening modes depending on your environment.
  • Lucid Hearing OTC fio Rechargeable In-The-Canal Hearing Aid Pair: The batteries in this set are rechargeable, so you won’t have to buy batteries as often. It charges with a USB-C cable, which is included. These small hearing aids aren’t as noticeable in your ear. The set features four programs to help you hear what you want.
  • Lucid Hearing OTC 10078 Enrich Pro In-The-Canal Hearing Aid Pair: A low-cost, entry-level hearing aid featuring noise suppression and dynamic feedback canceler, it has two listening modes and an eight-channel digital processor.
  • Lucid Hearing OTC 10082 Enrich Pro Behind-The-Ear Hearing Aid Pair: If you prefer an over-the-ear design, this hearing aid pair features two listening modes, a dynamic feedback canceler and advanced noise reduction. It has audible alerts to notify you of a low battery or program change.

How much do Sam’s Club Hearing Aids cost?

In 2022, Sam’s Club expanded its hearing solutions by launching over-the-counter (OTC) hearing aids starting at $199 a pair. The company's low prices help low-income consumers with hearing impairments.

I went to the Sunrise, FL location to get a hearing exam and hearing aids. The order was going on 6 weeks without an update. I called and left messages and finally went into the store to cancel the order. I tried calling Lucid directly to get an update and was told a manager would call me, which they never did. I don’t recommend them at all.

I have had my Lucid hearing aids which I purchased from the Sam's Club in Johnson City, TN for over 2 years. Unfortunately for me their hearing center is no longer opened but now you have to go to Bristol, VA. Not a huge deal but using the online scheduler from Lucid is a joke. It will schedule appointments but when you get there, the center is closed. I now call after my appointment has been scheduled to make sure someone will be there and guess what, they're closing early. Thanks for the call or the email letting me know (much sarcasm intended). The hearing aids have performed well for the most part but the customer support/audiology support is terrible! I spent almost $5000 but when my current ones need replacing I will not be purchasing another set from Sam's Club or Lucid.

I purchased a set of 32 channel Lucid hearing aids on 11/14/23 after being tested at the store. I had to exchange the first set. They were not able to communicate with a Droid via Bluetooth so the Lucid app that allows you to adjust them via phone couldn’t work. Two hearing aids cost me $1350.00. They were great. I was surprised how well they helped. The units exceeded my expectations. Then in May 2025, the hearing aids quit amplifying anything. They were like installing ear plugs. I went back to the store and was told they were working fine. The technician re-tested me and said my hearing had got worse. She couldn't get any more "adjustment" out of the 32 channel units, but she put the top-of-the-line units on me and I could hear just like I did when my old units were new. She said I would have to upgrade for her to be able to get enough channels to help.

I went home and had my wife try the old hearing aids. She said they didn't do anything. Like ear plugs. So now I'm stuck. I will purchase replacement hearing aids but they will not be Lucid. I wrote a bad review and got a call from some Lucid customer service person who promised to call the store and get with the technician. I never heard back from her. So, my recommendation is: Do not buy Lucid. You will be sorry and will be out whatever you paid plus the cost of an upgrade (if you bite). By the time you are through, you would have been further ahead to pay for prescription hearing aids.

My Lucid hearing aids have been problematic from the beginning. The right one screeches terribly whenever the slightest of thing touches it. I can't use the phone on that ear and when people hug me they want to know what the horrible sound is from. My left hearing aid constantly is requesting a new battery. I will put in a new battery and two days later, it is asking for a new battery again. I am using brand new batteries from Sam's just as the technician suggested. These hearing aids are 13 months old. The technician will fiddle and fiddle with them, however, nothing gets resolved. I go home with the same issues I walked into the store with.

Now it is getting more and more difficult to go into the Hagerstown Sam's Club and actually find someone working in the hearing aid center. I'm told they are there until 6:00 pm, however, I've been there now on three occasions when they have on the computer screen that they will return at 10:00 the next morning and it won't be 5:00 pm yet. I'm to the point I'm ready to ask for a return on my money or something. It's obvious the technician cannot fix whatever is wrong with these hearing aids.

Sam's closed the hearing aid store where I purchased the hearing aids. I cannot get anyone to answer when I call other stores in our state. Now I have 2 nonfunctioning hearing aids, which were very expensive compared to Costco.

We had always had a great experience with the former audiologist, on time & responsive. I can’t even say how much this wanted to make me pull my hair out. We had an appointment at 2:00. We were there at 1:55, not even acknowledged until 2:20. At that point she said I’ll be with you soon. Still another 7-8 minutes before we could talk to her. So disorganized, made me crazy. By the time we finally left there it was 4:35. Another person who had a 4:00 appointment was then waiting & the audiologist never even acknowledged her. I will never go back there.

These hearing aids are very good and allow me to hear well. They also cancel out the Tinnitus many seniors suffer from. They were very reasonably priced and there was a "6 months same as cash" option. Additionally, at least until COVID hit, I could take them in any time I was there and they would clean them, replace worn parts at no charge. After 2 years, they gave me a new hearing test and reconfigured the hearing aids to compensate. Very good service and attention to customer.
