I am so surprised that there so many bad review but it doesn’t come up on Google. This a terrible company. I wouldn’t be surprised if they are fraudulent what and why. Do they want driving licenses? don’t they know and how do they keep that information safe?

We purchased a Sealy mattress in December 2024. By June 2025 — less than six months later — the mattress completely failed. The side coils collapsed and bulged four inches beyond the edge support, making the bed unusable and extremely uncomfortable. When we filed a warranty claim, Sealy denied it. Their representative claimed the issue was due to an “improper foundation.” The problem? We were using a rigid Simmons steel grid foundation with 3” x 3” welded steel supports — a flat, level, industry-standard base that meets or exceeds Sealy’s own published warranty requirements. There is no sagging, no bowing, no broken slats. The failure was purely internal coil breakdown, unrelated to any base or frame issue.

When I appealed and pointed out that their own warranty language does not exclude this type of foundation — and that a rigid base cannot physically cause lateral coil collapse — Sealy still refused to honor the warranty. Instead, they offered me a “special deal” to buy a new mattress and foundation directly from them at 50% off retail… meaning I would have to spend even more money with the company that sold me a defective product in the first place.

    To summarize:
    • Mattress failed within 6 months of light adult use.
    • Warranty claim denied on a technicality that doesn’t even apply.
    • Sealy ignored both the warranty’s wording and basic physics.

    • Their “solution” was a sales pitch, not accountability.

I’ve owned many mattresses over the years, and this is by far the worst experience I’ve ever had. Buyers deserve to know: Sealy does not stand behind its products. A mattress that collapses in under half a year should be a clear warranty replacement — instead, Sealy blamed the customer. If you are considering Sealy, think twice. Look at Simmons, Serta, or Tempur-Pedic instead. And if you’ve had similar issues, file with the Better Business Bureau and Consumer Affairs so others can see the pattern.

Sealy delivered my power base late and completely damaged — the driver even admitted they knew it was broken before loading it. We refused delivery and were promised follow-up, but no one ever contacted us. After multiple calls, I had to cancel the order, only to be told I’d have to “wait for a specialist” with no way to reach them. Customer service was rude and unhelpful. Truly the worst buying experience — never again.

Sealy won't stand behind their warranty and makes excuses. The new mattress is broken down in just 1 1/2 years and is very now very uncomfortable, no longer flat but sinking and broken down. We are not heavy people. My husband had a month of therapy and now will be getting a hip replacement next month. We bought a queen-sized Sealy! We bought a Sealy Satisfied II after doing a lot of research and visiting many stores in three cities. We felt this was a good quality mattress and comfortable. We paid a sale price of $1,125. It had a NON-PRO RATED 10-year warranty with no strings or fine print presented to us. When it arrived, it had a badly sewn piping edge with many loose threads. It was replaced.

The next one lasted less than 1 ½ years. It sinks down 4 ½ inches when laid on, 1 ½" dent when not laid on. It was flat, now your shoulders roll up and it feels like you are lying in a trench and rolling toward each other. I've slept on the sofa for over 6 months. It took one month to get a reply that they would not stand behind their warranty because we didn't have a new box spring! That was not part of the warranty or brought up to us by the sales manager when we bought it. The box spring is very solid and flat. The mattress has lost its firmness, not the box spring. The mattress is expensive junk, and Sealy can't be trusted to stand behind their junk.

We purchased a Sealy Silverchill Hybrid King Plush mattress from Mattress firm 4 years ago. When we bought a new bed for it other than the standard frame, we noticed is was way smaller than a standard King (80x76). The tag and receipt say it is 80x76. It is in reality 78x75, leaving big gaps on each side of the bed which don't look great. When I called Mattress Firm and Sealy, they said this is normal, and that they put in very small print that size can vary. They compared a $3,000 mattress to a 2x4 piece of wood from Home Depot saying there is always variance and that size is just a an estimate. Our other king bed is precisely 76x80.

Absolutely terrible. Less than 6 weeks old & it’s already sagging significantly. The back pain is unbearable! It is still comfortable in the center, where no one sleeps, so I don’t think it’s defective. It’s just an inferior product. Save yourself some headaches & back pain by NOT buying a Sealy Mattress.

As a customer we all understand that businesses in this era are pretty bad. Too many companies have a lack of communication, lack of knowledge, lack of good customer service. Seally is no better. I purchased a mattress online February 3rd, before doing so I had contacted customer service just to get the details cuz I'm not the type of person would purchase furniture or mattresses online, but could not pass on the discount. We discussed delivery and I was told that I will receive an email within three business days.

After the call speaking to someone about their experience with online mattress purchase it was said they didn't get their mattress until 3 weeks, some 4 weeks, some five weeks. I couldn't wait that long for a mattress so I called back a few days later to cancel the order and was told that they don't cancel the order in that department and that someone will contact me via email. Check my credit card account and the money was in pending status. I tried to file lost prevention on it because of the lack of communication and could not because the money was pending. So, I waited almost close to a week for my payment to post before calling back about the cancellation because the money was still pending I couldn't file a loss prevention. I told again I will receive an email and that there was no guarantee of me getting a cancellation.

Few days later I received an email from a Sealy representative saying that they could not cancel because the shipment was in process not deliver but in process. I responded that I will not accept the delivery, I want a cancellation and will file a dispute with my credit card company. The next day I checked on my credit card payment spoke with a representative there and the payment was posted and dispute filed.

A day later I received an email that the mattress was out for delivery, what a bit coincidence. I assume that this dispute was taken care of everything was okay I'll get a full refund but today March 7th 2025 I received a partial payment from Sealy not a full payment not even subtracting $175 restocking fee they said they would have to deduct which I would dispute that because of the lack of communication and how long it took even for my credit card company to dispute this matter. This company really should be ashamed I remember Seeley back in the seventies was a great company the owners will probably be ashamed on how this company is representing silly.

I have a Sealy King size mattress and the dimensions are wrong. Per Sealy the mattress should be 79 x 76, my mattress is 77 x 75. Sheets don't fit properly. The problem is that I am well outside the warranty period because I could not use the mattress which was in an apartment without a functioning bathroom. Only in December was I able to use the apartment and sleep on the mattress. When I tried to put fitted sheet on the mattress, it did not fit. So, I finally measured the mattress and discovered that the dimensions were not what they're supposed to be.

I called the store where I purchased the mattress and they simply state that I am out of the warranty period and have no claim. Sealy, on the other hand, agrees that the mattress dimensions are wrong but "per company policy the third party that sold the mattress has to handle the claim." So, I am up the proverbial creek. I should have looked at reviews before. Consumer Affairs shows at customer rating of 1.2 out of 5. Would I buy another Sealy mattress? Absolutely not.

They tell you when you pay $2500 for a mattress there is a 10 yr warranty. They will not honor it. First if it isn't a certain measurement they will not replace no matter the dip. Then when you get to the measurement the least amor of discoloration after 7 yrs of use makes the warranty void. They expect to get a spotless mattress back after 7 yrs of use. They never intended to honor the warranty.

I ordered a Sealy mattress and canceled the order before it shipped and was still charged 185.50 for shipping. I received a email saying it was canceled and then another email saying it was shipped and another saying how do you like your mattress. Horrible, dishonest company to do business with. They also put a different mattress on email than what I ordered and canceled. Beware very shady!
