Avocado Mattress Reviews

Do not purchase. Like so many others, after a couple of years of use and diligently turning according to instructions, we experienced pelvic and thigh soreness, etc. We liked that it was organic, but this is a poor product and does not hold up. I could use stronger language but won't.

I would not recommend this mattress. After several years it sags in the middle of the mattress. After contacting their support team they told me that someone would come out and look at the issue. Bottom line was that if it sinks less than 2 inches you are out of luck! They check it by putting a string across the mattress and then with a ruler check how far is sunk. The problem with checking it that way is that the mattress has a foam topper that makes it look like it is not sunk, but when you put weight on it sinks way more than 2 inches.

I would not recommend this mattress at all to anyone. We had the Avocado King with mattress topper. We rotated it regularly over the 3 years of ownership. Both sides of the mattress had huge divots and I started getting severe body aches and neck pain. I noticed while traveling that these pains would start to resolve when sleeping elsewhere,, only to return when coming home and sleeping back on the Avocado. We had to replace this mattress and did so recently. Neck pain is gone. We were well past the trial time of the Avocado, si I did not reach out to them. Based on many other reviews from people trying to resolve these issues with Avocado, it doesn’t appear to be an easy thing to do. Unfortunately, we had to move on and chalk up our loss. Live and learn. To anyone considering this mattress, I urge you to seriously reconsider.

Avocado gives buyers only 45 days after the purchase to write a verified review on their site through an invitation from YotPo. I enjoyed this mattress until a huge dip and sagging occurred after 5 years of sleeping on it. I followed every instruction that was required to maintain this mattress. 45 days is not enough time to actually determine the quality of a mattress. I bought this mattress feeling secure because of the promised warranty, but the promised warranty was not fulfilled. I still have a mattress with a huge crater and customer service has not been helpful, gives runarounds, and does not fulfill their warranty promise. It is my recommendation to not support this company. I did not upload my receipt because my address is on it.

Owned a standard king for four years. Started sagging in two spots within the first 36 months. Submitted a claim to their warranty and they rejected it (as they have done with many others) due to what they called insufficient support by the foundation. Absolutely unrelated to foundation support.

We bought the premium Luxury Organic mattress (King) and deep body indentations formed within a couple months of use. We rotated it as instructed so this shouldn't have happened. We are not large people either. We told customer service about this and asked to exchange the mattress for a different one and keep the 1-year return guarantee but were told we couldn't keep that return guarantee on the 2nd mattress because ours wasn't considered "defective" by their definition, which is 2" deep indentation without anyone laying on it. Ours was about 1.5", which is still terrible for a mattress that was only a few months old, esp. one of the purported quality of Avocado not to mention one of their premium mattresses.

Horrible product and horrible company that does not stand behind their 25 year warranty. I purchased the top-of-the-line green mattress in a king size in the fall of 2020 and after receiving it it was super uncomfortable reached out. They suggested we purchase a topper and we did for another $800 and it still was not comfortable and then started to sag. We reached out again and they said they wouldn’t be able to do anything. I’ve reached out since and asked if I could write a review or how to do so and they would not provide a link and only said to email their support. This is a horrible company that I would never recommend that do not stand behind their products.

I bought the pillow top which was recommended because I'm a side sleeper. The mattress was great fie about the first 3 months. Then my back pain started to become an issue again. Noticed how my body impression in the mattress was becoming more noticeable. I weigh 172 ponds. My girlfriend was having the same problem and she only weighs 130. Tried to return for a firmer mattress but I was informed I must first buy another one. After approximately a month after the old mattress is picked up I would receive my money back. I'm 74 and on a fixed income. The $2600 will put a burden on me. Wish I had known this prior to buying. So buyer beware.

The Mattress topper I bought just was soft enough or enough help for my very rigid mattress, that is not hit against this company, I understand there are many different mattress topper types and this just didn't work out for me. This review is how well the return of the mattress topper went and the help I got from the Returns & Donations Team. I got very specific instructions on the process and some great feedback when I informed them I couldn't get it comprress enough to get it back in the box it was sent in. I found in those cases they also have a way to get return done by following their Donations process. Once I found a local donation center and sent the needed info and pics of where I dropped it off, they reassured me that I would see the refund to my credit card would in next few days. These mattresses are a scam. They hook in people looking for good quality mattresses and the initial purchase experience is great. Once you have the mattress, it will fall apart immediately and you cannot get warranty coverage unless there is a full inch and a half dip in the mattress and it has to be just so or if there is a single stain on it it voids all warranty coverage. Do NOT buy this. You will regret it. I promise.
