I looked up companies for weight loss food delivery and decided to go with bistroMD. I am so happy I did. The food is great, the food comes frozen in a well packaged box that was still cold in this hot weather and customer service, especially Emily and Patrick were great and so helpful with tips and suggestions. I recommend bistroMD to anyone who is looking to lose weight with great food. My cholesterol levels are really good since I have been on this food plan and I feel so much better.

I have nothing but good things to say about bistroMD. They have a wide variety of meals and I have found several that I like, with plenty of others still left to try. My first and only issue has been one delivery that never arrived from FedEx. However, Emily from Customer Service quickly and easily helped me get a replacement delivery.

I was apprehensive that these meals would taste good, be well-balanced and be satisfying. I was wrong on all accounts. The variety is wonderful, gourmet taste and convenient. These meals have allowed me to eat three balanced meals per day and start my journey to a healthier life. I've lost 30 lbs in 4 weeks and I am excited for the future. I did have one minor shipping issue, but customer service was outstanding and they quickly resolved my issue and made me feel like I was a valued customer. I highly recommend BistroMD to anyone who likes high quality, convenient meals backed by outstanding customer service!

As a caregiver for my 87 year old mother, BistroMD meals provide us a variety of nutritious, heart-healthy meals that she truly enjoys. Morgan was very helpful as she described the many options available to us as well as securing a senior discount for future purchases. The portions are generous and the taste is great. I was excited to try bistroMD, however the food tasted terrible and I threw away more than I could stomach to eat. Highly overpriced. The chicken and turkey looked raw in the package. Their customer service is very good.

It's way, way too expensive for meals that are not fresh, not edible for anyone with an ounce of tastebuds. Most of the meals are made with powdered everything. Eggs, cheese, compote, sauce...it's all powdered. Sad to say, my dogs won't even eat it.

I'd give this zero stars if I could. THERE IS NOTHING KETO ABOUT THIS. It's full of carbs and salt, and tastes terrible. Meals arrived half freezer burnt. Google this company. You will see multiple issues. I took this to my doctor and he told me I could not eat this!!! Absolutely trash. Customer service did nothing. You can't market something as Keto that isn't even close.

I was trying to manage gestational diabetes, but I found the diabetic meals from BistroMD unpalatable. I struggled to get them down. The last straw was when I threw up the Mediterranean crêpes after beginning to gag on the terrible taste. And while I know nausea, this was definitely not from nausea; it was from a taste that couldn't be tolerated. I'd rather go hungry. For $240 per week, I should have loved the meals. Instead I cringed when meal time came wondering what disgust awaits. I got through 2 weeks of meals, and celebrated after I finished the last one.
When you try to cancel, the website tells you that you have successful canceled your membership, but if you go back into the account settings, you'll see you're still subscribed. The only way to cancel is to contact customer service. I've successfully used the Jenny Craig meal delivery service in the past and the success was mostly due to the enjoyability of the meals. They were delicious. I can't believe how much different my experience with BistroMD is. Never again.

Subscribed to their keto plan. While ordering, attempted to check nutritional label on each food to make sure that everything is a low carb, but the site was either glitchy or the images showed the wrong info. When the order arrived, not a single dish was low carb. I reached out to CS and their response was basically “too bad”. Since I was out over a $100, I figured I will pick thru the meals and eat what I can. Unfortunately, their food is inedible…the meat was tough and stringy and the vegetables tasted like cardboard. I ended up throwing every single meal, all 10 of them, in the thrash. Shame on you, BistroMD, for making this god awful crap and not having the decency to make it right by your customers.

Products I asked not to be sent were sent anyway. First meal I tried to eat all I could eat was the salmon and it was dry and not good. I canceled after the first week because it was not keto friendly at all like advertised and there is no place to click specific foods you can’t eat.

3 of us in the family decided to start a healthy New Year. We all ordered a week's worth of meals, and only 2 of us received meals. They stated the other order “fell through the cracks”. Now the food. It is bland and mushy. My husband, who will eat anything, threw the tilapia down the garbage disposal. Not even sure we will finish the meals. We’ve already ordered from Factor, who is rated higher, and see how they are.

(1) This company has no customer service. We have tried to skip meals and to cancel our subscription for close to a month now, but that has not been possible. We have emailed multiple times to cancel the service, called (no one picks up), and even messaged via Facebook, but there is no response. They are aware we are incredibly frustrated with their service and that we wish to cancel as they have our emails and my Facebook posts. They have not done anything to reach out or to respond to our request to cancel and to stop charging our credit card.
(2) The meals are unexceptional. There have been a few good ones, but the vast majority are bland, mushy, and some have been almost inedible. Given the quality of the customer service, this delivery service is not worth it. The fact that they have chosen not to respond to our many attempts to correspond with them and that they are continuing to charge my credit card is indeed troubling.

I recently opened an account with BistroMD and placed one order that was received promptly. Due to the lack of flexibility on ordering, I decided to not continue in the program. I asked online that my account be cancelled and received a response saying it had been cancelled. Since that time, I have received a shipment that included nothing I had ever ordered. Today I received an email telling me I would be receiving another shipment tomorrow and it also does not include anything I ever ordered. I have sent the company 22 emails telling them to stop and received no response. Also, I have tried calling and have waited online for at least ten hours with no one answering while having to listen to their ads about how much my time is worth to them so to just contact their consumer affairs office. I can just imagine what the response will be when I refuse to pay them for the unwanted meals.

Patrick at BistroMD's Customer Service really went above and beyond to provide a solution for me. I called in to get a receipt for a shipment that had been improperly handled by FedEx, resulting in me not receiving the shipment for over a week from when I should have, so all the dry ice was far gone and the food had gone bad. Once I explained the issue, Patrick told me that he'd submit a request for a courtesy refund. I appreciate all his help to resolve this issue; he really came through to make things right again.

We are in our 8th decade and have tried four different meal plan companies. We wanted convenience, minimal preparation time, food variety, good taste, and reliability. We also wanted a user-friendly customer service department. Of the four companies, BistroMD checked all the boxes on our want list - especially convenience, food variety, and good tasting meals. When a situation required contacting BistroMD's customer service department, we found Marcie to be a delight to work with. She was professional, courteous, and resolved or issue quickly and efficiently. In summary, we found BistroMD the best of the meal plan companies we tried.

All companies should handle their phone lines the way they do. No automated system, someone actually picks up the phone. They are genuinely friendly and you’re not sent to other departments to resolve your issue. I was amazed when I left a message after hours on the weekend and I received a non automated email that they resolved my issue. I do not know of any other company whose customer service operates like this.

Customer Service agent (Emily) knew the product, system, and guided me through my questions in a patient and supportive way! There were things about being new that I really didn't understand, and she kindly educated me. I know what I'm doing, and will continue with this service. I had questions about the timing of orders and delivery, what kinds of meals fit my needs, how to NOT order what I didn't like, such as beef, options for my calendar entries, and more. I've had mean services in the past, and wanted to start again. So far, I'm happy I chose BestroMD.

A lot of the meals are great. I do have to say I get very tired of some meals though and then they’re not so great. Then we have the issue of certain meals being sent and they taste like they’ve gone bad. Luckily it’s not the whole meal, just certain parts. They also have an issue of sending things to you that you didn’t order. Unfortunately, that is reflected on the website even though those certain things aren’t picked. I’ve reached out to them already about the possible rotted food but it started back up again. Don’t know if it’s actually on the verge of going bad or if it’s seasoning. Anyways, I reached out to them recently about sending me things I did not order, only to be met with no response.
Another issue I have is that they don’t have a variety of vegetables, they just mostly have carrots and green beans pretty much for every meal. Most of the time the green beans are bland. My favorite is the meal with the rosemary green beans. That one is actually a favorite. It costs so much for what you get, I don’t understand sending food you can’t fully customize or sending food that is going bad or sending food that isn’t what you ordered. I’d understand sending something not ordered if they only did it once in a while. They also don’t let you know if you can’t have what you ordered if what you ordered isn’t available. It’s unfortunate, because some of the meals are really good.

I received excellent customer service from Marcie who answered the phone immediately when I called in. My reason for calling was to update my plan and she answered a couple of questions for me at the same time. I called the customer service department because I had questions regarding substitutions in my weekly menus. I am new to the program so I was confused about substituted meals. Marcie was very helpful and walked me through the process explaining how the weekly menus worked. I highly recommend this program, the food is delicious and their customer service is top-notch!
