Consumer Complaints and Reviews
I used auto pay plus when I purchased my new car. I used the bi monthly payment plan directly withdrawing from my bank account. Not only did they take more money than was needed to pay my car off ($503.47 more) when I called and complained they told me they would make my final payment and send me the difference back overnight. Well 14 days later I find out not only did they not overnight my payment, these people didn't make my last car payment which is now 3 days late. When I called and complained they said "we closed the account. Isn't that what you wanted?" I will never ever deal with these people again. What a bunch of garbage this company is. How can they stay in business??
This company claims to withdraw from your account and make payments every two weeks, but they are in fact only making a single monthly payment. Total ripoff. I am going to try to cancel right now. The salesmen at the dealership pushed hard for me to do this (getting a kickback?) and it seemed like a good idea. Only problem is that they ARE NOT making 2 payments a month for me. SCAM.
I was trying to cancel after you have sold the car. I couldn't cancel out without jumping through hoops as they continued to take payments from the auto-pay account.
On November 4 I contacted U.S. Equity Advantage to cancel them taking my car payment from my savings account. I was told by Brenda that I would receive my money back by November 18, 2009 3 days before my car payment is due. When I called on November 19, 2009 she said that she didn't know why it was sent out and that she would try to expedite it. When she called back she said that it was sent via US mail on the 19th.
I asked why wasn't it overnight to me and I was told that if I wanted that they would charge me and I should have made arrangements earlier. This is a scam to make money of consumers by making them think their car payments are made when they are collecting interest on the money instead of paying the car not when they receive the money. They claim they make the car payments every 2 weeks, when they are only making the payments once a month and only a few days prior to the due date. They charge .95 every time they take the money from my account, but they don't pay the car payment. Beware of US Equity Advantage.
